Kameron woke up early today. He needed to speak to his parents before they went to work. If he wanted to work on the house without any problems he needed to tell his parents whats to come.
He was a bit nervous, this was the first time he ever had to sit down with his parents. In all his previous lives, his parent's died before the catastrophe.
He got ready and went downstairs to make a simple breakfast for them. Luckily he still retained his cooking skills.
It didn't take long to make an omelet with avocados and rice. He set the table and made sure everything looked nice and presentable.
Five minutes later his parents came downstairs and was shocked when they saw what was on the table.
"Honey, what is all of this? Are you giving me and your father a surprise?" Mrs. Wong said with a huge smile on her face. She was so happy to have such a good son.
Her husband, Mr. Wong, also had a smile on his face. "Kameron what's the occasion?" He asked.
"Nothing, I just wanted to make breakfast for you guys. Here come sit." He said as he pulled the chairs for them to sit.
"Mom, dad, I have to say to you." Kameron said once they sat down.
"Okay, what is it honey." Mrs. Wong asked worried. Her mind was already spinning with what he could say to them. Did he get a girl pregnant? No, he couldn't, he showed no interest in any of the girls she had set him up with. Is he coming out to them? Well if he does she'll make sure to let him know they don't care and love him as he is.
"Mom, dad, I actually-"
"Gay! Its okay honey, me and your dad already know. We love you for who you are." She interrupted him and said.
Kameron looked at his parents shocked. When did he ever say that? "Wait mom, how did you know?"
"Oh honey. Mama knows everything." She said with a smile.
"Wait, thats not that point. I wanted to tell you that I was reborn."
"Wait, what? You died before? How did you die!" Mrs. Wong asked in shock. She couldn't help but imagine how much pain he mustve been in. Tears started falling down her face.
"Mom, I'm okay now. In a little under 3 months a Catastrophe will happen. Monsters will start spilling out of gates and towers will appear everywhere. Selected people will gain powers in the following months of the monsters appearing and they'll be able to fight off the monsters. But the first month will be the hardest. The first few weeks no one will have any powers, so the monsters will go rampant and kill a lot of civilians."
His mom and dad looked at each other in shock. They couldn't believe what they were hearing.
"Kameron you're saying all of this, but where were we when it happened?" Mr. Wong couldn't help but ask.
Kameron looked at them with a sad expression. "You guys weren't there. In my past lives you guys died of a car accident when I turned 16. So I promise in this life I'll protect you guys no matter what. Which is why I want to ask if I can renovate the house."
Mrs. Wong looked at Kameron with a serious expression. "Honey, losing us must've been so hard. I'm sorry we weren't there when you needed us the most. Before we agree I need you to promise us something. If we die let us go. Do not try to resurrection us. Please honey, don't mess with the dead." She didn't know why but she felt like she had to say that. She had a feeling her and her husband wouldn't make it past the Catastrophe Kameron was speaking of.
"Mom, what do you mean? Why are you speaking like that. You guys won't die." Kameron said confused.
"I know honey, just promise me that no matter what, you won't mess with the dead." Mrs. Wong said.
"Okay, I promise."
"Okay, bye honey. Me and your dad have to go to the company. Stay safe. We love you!" Mrs. Wong said as she and Mr. Wong got up to leave.
