Changan City was bustling with activity. Far away in Huayang, Purple Jade received a letter from Changan and her expression turned extremely grim. She called Chi Er to discuss the matter.
"What's happened?" Chi Er asked, noticing her darkened expression.
"The young lady was injured. Also, take a look at this." Purple Jade handed over the letter and sneered, "I'm afraid our journey to Changan won't be peaceful."
Chi Er took the letter and swiftly read through it, letting out a cold laugh, "They've hired assassins from Lanting Tower? That Madam Wang is truly bold. Using assassins against two unarmed people?"
Purple Jade sneered, "This way, it won't be traced back to her, right? Moreover, it's a foolproof plan!"
