Gerald and Barkan were shocked by the grand story, This seemed like something straight out of the myths.
While they were still recovering from the shock, the screen before them flashed.

Before they could react, they suddenly found themselves on the blackened walls of a city.
However, rather than calling it city, it was better to call it a war fortress, in the very center, rather than a mansion or a fort as in normal tradition, there was a large cathedral.
[ Hint:- The Enemies Attack will begin at night, the reinforcements will arrive at dawn]
They looked at each other and quickly got to work. Gerald went to inquire about their current position, about where they were , about their ranks etc.
Barkan went around to look for clues about who may be their enemy.
5 hours before Night.
City wall.
Gerald and Barkan met again after gathering all the possible information, both their faces grim.
Gerald was the first to speak.
"We are currently in the territory of the eternal empire, who holds control over a tens of millions of worlds (planet level continents), the city of Bellmunt is nothing more than a previous war fortress, that was abandoned after its use, I heard that it has only been recently supplied with fresh troops in order to prepare for the attacks, the city has about a million defenders."
Barkan continued after him," our enemies are the legion of Ebon, according to the rumours, they were once the original masters of the world, who want to sleep due to unknown reasons....they are similiar to undead".
"Similar?"
"Similar yet different, they live by gathering their souls in a core, they call it the aether core, this is like a virtual form of immortality, allowing them to retain their emotions with never aging bodies of steel."
"About our position, we hold the military position of Centurion, represented by the golden eagle symbol that we are wearing".
"Is that good?"
"Barely, we can control some militia during the war, are exempt from most taxes , and can hold weapons in cities."
"Better than nothing".
"Only for me, this empire is racist".
