As soon as Elian led her to the second floor, he released her hand and moved forward.
Ariane tried hard to keep her cool.
"W-what is the meaning of what you did earlier? Fiancee'? We both know that is not true and impossible. Never would I want to be the fiancee' of someone who is inhuman-" she said as she followed him.
"I never said that I wanted to be your fiancé either." He spoke, he then paused and turned to her.

"The contract....I want you to pretend that we are engaged, In love and plans on getting married within this one month you'll work for me." He said which left her agape.

The walked down the stairs to see the entire family turn back to them, looking a bit bothered about something.

"We are leaving." Elian said and head for the door.
"Elian." His father's voice stopped him.
Ariane simply stood behind Elian without saying a thing.
"When did the two of you get engaged?"
"Six days ago." He replied

"Really? Elian, you proposed to a girl." His mother pointed out the obvious.
She was a little excited, but she was also concerned that this might not be real.

"We will discuss this when I return. I am not sure why you all still have doubts about this."

Emery smiled and got up, saying, "I am getting a sister-in-law."

Despite her discomfort with the lie, Ariane could not help but smile when she saw his adorable brother.
She guessed because he called her his sister-in-law.

"Isn't she lovely? Well, we have to leave now." Elian said as he grabbed Ariane's hand while holding the documents with his other hand.
"We are leaving." He added while his mother just simply smiled.
"Okay, you two should come visit another time." She said.

They were so close that his scent overwhelmed her surroundings.
He released her hand as soon as they were outside.
"They might still be watching; sit in the back with me." He whispered into her ears as they approached his car.
The driver opened the back door, but he did not move, so she turned to look at him.
Despite how uneasy she felt about everything, his scent always managed to outrun her.
