In a club, two girls moved to the music with infectious energy, their bodies pulsing in sync with the lively beats.
The colorful lights illuminated their laughter-filled faces as they twirled and swayed, creating a vibrant spectacle on the crowded dance floor.
Their movements were a blend of confidence and carefree abandon, drawing eyes and admiration from those around them.
They were both so drunk that they did not even care about their surroundings.
"Jenny, this is so much fun!" Ariane exclaimed as she continued to dance.
A man approached Jenny, but she simply shook her head in refusal of whatever he was asking for.
"T-Tonight's for my baby, so scram!" She yelled which made Ariane laugh.
But her laughter was cut short when she felt a hand around her waist.
She abruptly turned to see a guy smiling at her trying to get closer.
She nudged him aside and said, her expression vehement.
"W- what the h-hell is wrong with you all! You know what, jenny, le-lets go home." She said as she staggered over to jenny. Ariane nearly fell on Jenny, but Jenny, unable to even support herself properly, caught her.
"Anything for my baby, Minnesota!" Jenny bellowed again, causing everyone to stare at them strangely.
They took their purses and staggered out of the club.
"Bye bye music!" Ariane yelled as they walked together out of the club.
They both then stood near the road and flagged down a taxi.
They got inside the taxi, and the driver drove away.
"Tonight was just s-so fun!" Ariane said loudly.
"Ma'am where please?" The driver asked.
"Home!" Ariane replied with a smile, her eyes half opened while Jenny sluggishly opened her purse
"Yes ma'am but where?" He asked again to be given a small paper.
"Drive faster! My dad must be so worried." Ariane said which made jenny shake her head.
"Mr Niles won't be mad at us right? We only went to have fun." Jenny said again.
"No no, my dad is really nice. He won't shout at us."
They kept on blabbing until the driver arrived at their apartment.
"We are here."
Ariane's expression furrowed as she peered around the area turned to face Jenny, her lips pressed together.
"This is not my home!" She cried out while Jenny hugged her.
"Sir,please take us home!" Jenny said but Ariane shook her head
"But this is the address." The driver said
"Is this our home?" Jenny asked.
"Oh, it is. Look at penny close to the door bell " jenny said as she pointed at the sticker on the door of her apartment.
"My home is gone!" she began crying again
"The government took it away! I-i tried to get it back but now it's all gone! My boss even fired me." Ariane said with a loud cry.
"No, don't cry. It not you fault." Jenny said while also crying.
"I really did try to be ugly in order to make myself unattractive to men! I wore big clothings, always on a scattered hair bun and even wore glasses but still, I got fired! Why!"
"Don't cry Ari, I'll go fight them to give you back the job."
"Will you? " Ariane pulled back as she stopped crying.
"Mn." Jenny said as she also stopped crying.
"But I don't want to be more indepted to you!" Ariane said as she cried even more which made jenny cry again.
"But you are my best friend!" Jenny said as she kept crying while the taxi driver simply sat in the driver's seat as he looked at the drama from the review mirror.
He sighed as he didn't know what to do.
~The next day~
"Why is my room so bright Angie?" Ariane muttered as the fine sun rays fell on her face from the window.
Jenny wrinkled her brows as she groaned.
"Who is Angie?" She voiced out.
Ariane, still feeling the bright light on her face.
She slowly opened her eyes to the bright room to see the strange place.
She quickly sat up to feel the heavy ache in her head.
"Ahh!" She voiced out which made jenny slowly open her eyes.
"What is it?" She said as she tried sitting up to also feel the heavy ache in her head.
"Ahh!" Jenny said as she held her head.
They both then turned to each other before looking around at the scattered and untidied living room.
"Oh no!" Jenny said and fell back on the ground which both of them slept on.
"I feel so lazy to even get something to eat." Ariane said and grabbed a chocolate bar from the floor.
She opened it and began to eat it.
~Later that evening~
The two girls were seen in Ariane's room, staring at their phone?s screen.
Jenny was lying on Ariane's bed, while Ariane sat on the beanbag.
"The social media seems to be boring today, jenny." Ariane said.
"Not mine; the star musician is performing here in the city again! It's so unlike him to have two concert here in two months interval. Seems he will be staying here for a while.We better buy tickets."
"Oh, sounds good." Ariane said.
She remembered the last time she went to his concert, she couldn't even hear his song. Thank goodness she has another opportunity to hear his life music.
"Ahh!!! Ari." Jenny squeaked.
"What's the matter with you? Why did you scream?" Ariane asked.
"A job vacancy Ari, at the E group!"
"What?" Ariane stood up and went to take Jenny's phone.
It felt so unbelievably. The E group is one of the best companies in the country.
It was infact among the top two in the whole county.
"And I have all the necessities!" Ariane screamed out after reading the advertisement on Jenny's phone.
She's been thinking on how to go about, getting a new job. She really was in need of money to help with her dad's treatment.
That before she could get back into finding something that can prove his innocence
"Is this really reliable? Jenny, how is this possible? It is a top business company." Ariane said she found it difficult to believe.
"Of course it is. I have reliable sources okay? I got the news from a friend in the business company. It's really a great opportunity Ariane."
"Right?! Thank you so much jenny. Thank you!" Ariane said so happily as she hugged Jenny.
"Easy girl, first send them to the number." Jenny said with a small laugh.
"Yeah yeah." Ariane said and went to take her phone
The next day, Ariane stood Infront of her large mirror as she started at her reflection while jenny sat on the bed.
"You look perfect for the interview. Ari." Jenny complimented as she saw the nervous looking Ariane.
"But the hair, baby girl, is not an 'office style' " Jenny said, looking at the braided side of her.
"I enjoy braiding my hair, Jenny; they just have to like me for who I am and my abilities."
"Right, that's the spirit." Jenny said to see her smile.
"I'm off now, bye." Ariane said as she walked away.
"W-what, breakfast, you haven't had your meal!" Jenny said as she went after Ariane.
"I do not have time; bye!" Ariane said loudly and left the house, making jenny sigh.
