Liu Ya rowed the boat all night in the cover of darkness until she was utterly exhausted and could no longer paddle.
She was relieved that no one was pursuing her. No one on Mila Island had discovered her escape yet.
Even more fortunately, around five o'clock the following morning, just as dawn began to break, a fishing boat passed by her vicinity. Seeing her lying alone in the small boat, the fishermen kindly approached and asked, "Do you need help?"
"Yes!" Liu Ya hurriedly sat up.
Her hair was in disarray, her clothes soaked with sweat then dried, then wet again, now crumpled like a rag. Her once-beautiful face was now thoroughly haggard.
"Please take me ashore. I got lost at sea." Liu Ya pulled off the gold bracelet from her wrist, "Take this as your reward."
"Alright."
The fishermen readily agreed and allowed her onto their big boat. Not only did they take her ashore, but they also gave her fresh water and food.
