The entire process was wondrous; he smelled no blood, nor did he feel the pressure of being inside a giant creature.
The surroundings were bizarre, more akin to a spatial teleportation.
"Hold onto your core." Ophelia's voice emerged.
"Reshape and merge..." The voice gradually faded, and Roger felt a daze before sensing his body slowly melting away.
He uneasily twisted his body.
Hiss... Boom!
What sound was that? Did I bump into something?
A hint of confusion surged within him, and Roger promptly opened his eyes.
Strange darkness, then the darkness vanished, and the surroundings returned to brightness.
"That woman... It's Ophelia, but strangely, she doesn't seem to see me." Roger wanted to speak but no sound emerged. After several attempts, he quickly abandoned the thought.
"Strange, why am I here?"
"What am I doing?" He raised his head to glance around, realizing his gaze easily pierced the darkness and even this world, gazing further.
