Nick Fury smiled and nodded when he heard Hill's voice.
"That's good—especially with Cain around, there's nothing to worry about!"
Nick Fury hadn't forgotten just how powerful Cain was. None of the previous SCPs could counter his unique trait, and the only solution had been to relocate him. Without a doubt, he'd be a major force in this battle.
"And Hill, take your kitty and join the fight. Make sure you protect yourself."
"I understand."
On another aircraft, Hill took a deep breath and turned to Cain and Banner, her voice serious.
"No need to say anything—I can see it clearly. My god, am I living in hell?"
Banner stared in disbelief at the tide of monsters below. If it didn't hurt every time he slapped himself, he'd have thought he was dreaming.
"The Blood Pool has manifested in this world… That's bad. Really bad."
Cain's expression turned grim.
"You know about it?"
Banner looked at him, confused.
"Yes. But now's not the time for talk. I'm going down."
Cain said nothing more. With everyone watching, he opened the hatch and leapt from the aircraft without hesitation.
"This guy's even crazier than me!"
Banner stood there stunned, then glanced at the hundred-meter-tall monsters crawling out of the Blood Pool.
"Guess the Hulk isn't such a big deal anymore. Hoo… LET'S GOOOO!!!"
Banner shouted as he jumped after Cain.
Cain landed with ease, unharmed, while Banner… not so much. He hit the ground hard, bounced a few times, and startled the nearby monsters, who all turned to stare curiously at the man who'd just fallen from the sky.
"Tony, someone just jumped from the aircraft!"
"What?!"
Rhodey and Tony Stark caught sight of the two figures and quickly recognized them.
At that moment, they saw Banner's body growing larger and turning green—transforming into the Hulk.
"ROOOAAARRR!!!"
With a furious roar, Hulk shook the battlefield. The soundwave alone blasted many monsters away.
Disgusting creatures of all shapes and sizes instantly swarmed him, launching attacks without hesitation.
"ROOAAARR!!!"
Surrounded, Hulk went into a frenzy. His massive fists smashed through the horde, sending enemies flying in every direction.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Then several hundred-meter-class monsters began moving toward him, planning to use their size to overwhelm the Hulk.
But Hulk leapt first, landing on the head of one of the giant creatures. He raised his fists and pounded it mercilessly, forcing the beast—ten times his size—to collapse to the ground in pain.
Then another monster swatted Hulk away with a massive palm.
BOOM!
The impact launched Hulk into the earth, carving out a deep crater.
"ROOOAAARR!!!"
Hulk shot to his feet. The angrier he got, the stronger he became. No matter how huge his opponents were, he no longer felt fear—only rising rage and power.
"ROOOAAARRR!!!"
Fueled by fury, he charged at the monsters that had knocked him back. The sheer momentum of his run crushed anything in his path into pulp.
He was like a runaway train—unstoppable.
The towering monsters saw Hulk coming and tried to counter-charge, hoping to end it with brute force.
But Hulk locked eyes on the one that had hit him—a beast resembling a grotesque gorilla, bloated and foul.
Even Hulk felt disgusted just looking at it. His revulsion unintentionally made his power surge again.
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!
Charging forward on all fours, Hulk built up speed, then launched himself into the air, fists raised. In an instant, he reached the monster's forehead—
BOOM!!!
His fists came down like meteors. The giant beast was slammed to the ground, toppling and crushing several nearby monsters in its fall.
"Holy hell. Hulk's this strong?"
Rhodey stared in shock. He had just been fighting one of those colossal monsters himself, and humanity's weapons had been useless—only crystal-vine missiles had any effect.
But Hulk? He brought them down with raw strength. Rhodey was speechless.
"Maybe we should keep our distance…"
Tony Stark muttered, a bit unsettled.
At that moment, Hulk moved like a giant gorilla through a forest, leaping from monster to monster. Each time he landed, the impact knocked them off their feet. They couldn't even stand up under the sheer force of it.
"ROOOAAARRR!!!"
He roared to the sky, asserting his dominance. Many smaller monsters were so intimidated they didn't dare approach.
But Hulk wasn't done. He charged toward another cluster of enemies.
"Oh no! He's coming this way!"
"Move!"
Rhodey and Stark saw Hulk charging and immediately flew into the air to get away.
But Hulk saw them.
Some of the monsters he had just defeated were cybernetic—part human, part robot, or full machines. So when he saw two armored figures flying in the sky, he immediately assumed they were part of the same group.
He grabbed one of the monsters and hurled it toward them.
Tony and Rhodey were forced to dodge frantically in mid-air.
"Hey! Hulk! They're not the enemy!"
Just then, Cain's voice rang out.
Hearing it, Hulk flinched. He lost his grip on the monster he was about to throw and turned his head to see Cain jogging toward him.
"Looks like you really don't remember Banner's memories. Did you forget Hill showed us their photos?"
Cain shook his head with a helpless smile.
"Those two aren't enemies. Don't hurt humans. Channel your rage at these monsters instead."
Surprisingly, Hulk nodded obediently.
He wasn't afraid of much—but Cain's weird ability to reflect all damage back at the attacker? That, he dreaded.
He'd had enough of fighting someone where every punch only hurt himself. Just seeing Cain made him hesitate.
But at the same time, Cain always spoke gently to him, which made Hulk instinctively feel close to him.
Right now, it seemed only Cain could control him.
Hulk gave up chasing Tony and Rhodey and focused again on smashing the monsters.
"Now then, time I did something too."
Cain stepped forward into the swarm, letting them attack freely—only for every bit of damage to rebound onto the monsters themselves.
