Kane dried his face with a towel as he walked out of the bathroom, trying to shake off the remnants of the unsettling dream.
"Maybe it's just exhaustion," he muttered to himself. "That's probably why I'm having these strange dreams."
He headed back to his room, tossing the towel aside before making his way to the kitchen.
"Is there anything to eat around here?" he wondered aloud, his stomach rumbling slightly. "I hope there are some snacks or leftovers... I really don't feel like cooking. The last time I tried, I nearly started a house fire."
Kane opened the fridge, relieved to find some packaged leftovers. He took them out and popped them into the microwave, setting the timer before leaning against the wall. As he waited for the food to heat, his mind began to drift, the hum of the microwave fading into the background.
"That dream... it felt so real," he thought, his brow furrowing. "Why was I tied up as Aurora? And who was that figure with the knife?"
