"Thanks," Aurora said.
"Don't mention it," Kane replied.
"What's with the mask?" asked Aurora.
Kane replied as he took it off, "I escaped the morgue - I'm pretty sure there's someone investigating that mystery and being caught on camera wouldn't help me."
"Oh I see, but why were you parked outside?" Aurora asked.
"Oh, a servant told me I wasn't allowed to park inside," Kane explained.
"Huh. Did you tell him you work for me?" Aurora asked.
"Yeah, but he said the orders came from Madam Madeline," Kane said.
"Hmph, seems like I was right," Aurora said, frowning. "Even while mourning her husband, she was already plotting her next moves."
"I'm not sure I follow," Kane said.
"She pretended to be kind to get me to use the family car, isolating me from you," Aurora explained.
"They couldn't risk having the media cause a scene at the church for the company's image, so they orchestrated this. I'm not sure whose idea it was, but I'll assume it was Madam Madeline's for now."
