Tank stares in amazement as the showdown duel between the two remaining players continued. Toby and Rex stares at each other, both focused on winning.
Rex- You're a pretty good fighter, but ability wise you can't keep up with me.
Toby- Oh yeah, well you can't keep up with me fighting wise.
Rex while laughing- What do you think I was doing all this time?
Toby while grinning- Fending off piranhas.
Rex stopped laughing immediately as he looks at his bleeding bite wounds. He then touched the ground with his hands using the rocks to construct another build. This time Rex had constructed rock boots covering both legs.
Tank starting to sweat from the damages-(Luckily for me, I have extra mats.)
Toby- Wow, your really going build for build Salazar.
Rex- That's not my name.
Toby while making a baby voice- Oh, I thought you liked generator rex.
Rex had a sour looked on his face as he rushes in towards Toby going for a kick. He kicks with the right leg which Toby swiftly dodges. As he lands he pivots his foot going for a leftward kick that is also dodged by Toby. After swinging both legs, the rock boots started to crumble. Rex noticed this, but also noticed that Toby had jumped up going for a right hook. The rock boots had completley crumbled throwing off Rex's balance. He was still able to block Toby's punch, but it didn't save him from the force of the hit, plus gravity, knocking him to the ground. As Toby lands, Rex rests on one knee starting to feel tired. Toby smiles while generating electricity from his right hand.
Rex- Wha...
Tank-(That's new.)
Toby- You know, with three other people being in here...that's a lot of electricity to absorb.
He dashed towards Rex attempting to strike with a shocking right punch. Unfortunately, Rex touched the ground constructing another build. As Toby swings his EMP punch, Rex blocks with his rock fist absorbing the electricity.
Rex- Earth is a good insulator isn't it?
Toby eyes opened in shocked. Rex uppercutted him with his rock fist causing it to shatter doing the extra damage. Toby flew to the other side of the mats, and hits the ground coughing up blood. Rex was happy knowing the attack landed, but not for too long as he sees Toby getting back up fully healed.
Rex-(Not even a scratch?) You mentioned something about absorbing electricity right? I feel a lot better now after absorbing your attack.[starts laughing] I guess I took back what you stole.
Toby after cracking his neck- Tsk, whatever...[forms a menacing grin] let's try this again shall we?
Rex- We shall.
Rex touched the ground constructing another rock blade on his right arm. The two dashed towards each other as Rex swings the rock blade. Toby evaded the attack swiftly moving behind Rex.
Toby- Them rocks must be pretty heavy. You can't keep up with my speed with those builds.
He kicks Rex in the calf causing him to drop to a knee. Rex quickly turns around back smacking Toby's arm with the rock blade sending him flying to the wall of the barrier. With his rock blade shattered Rex was breathing heavy hoping that Toby would stay down. Although, with the barrier not dropping Tank knew he survived the attack. Rex was shocked to see Toby stand again. Healed of all wounds, and also breathing heavy.
Tank- Huh, that guy can take a punch.
Rex-(I'm gonna reach over exhaustion soon. Should I wait to save up enough energy to construct a build? No...even if I did that I would be too tired to actually use it. He seems to be just a tired as I am. I'm not sure how his showdown ability works, but I'm sure he doesn't have enough electricity absorbed to use it again.)
Toby stares at Rex with his signature menacing smile. Rex stares back with determination. The two dashed towards each other stopping right in the middle, both winding back a right punch. As Rex winds his fist back, Toby does the same except he covered his fist with electricity.
Rex-(Electricity?)
Rex was shocked which caused him to hesitate. Therefore catching a full force electrifying right hook from Toby. Rex hits the ground with static coming from his face. Rex had reached over exhaustion which caused the barrier to drop ending the duel.
Toby trying to catch his breath-(I had to use my own electrons that time...I'm glad it worked.)
Tank- And the winner is...
Toby- Toby.
Tank- Congratulations Toby, you've just earned a spot in the forge.
The other players starts to get up as the football guy asked if he was knocked out for that long.
Tank- Sure was. Whenever someone gets knocked out with the duel still going on, the barrier will keep the person unconscious until the duel is finished. Obviously this rule only applies when there's more than two people participating.
After hearing the explanation Rex was bummed out, and in disbelief that he lost to Toby. Tank then instructs everyone to leave out the door in the rear of the gymnasium. Tank waves goodbye to them, and was caught off guard by Toby standing besides him waving also.
Toby while waving- That was a good fight Rex! Good match everyone!
Tank- What are you doing? You're supposed to leave too.
Toby- WHAT?! I wanted to stay and watch my friends' matches.
Tank- NO WAY THAT'S CHEATING!
Toby- How is it cheating when I already know their abilities?
Tank- What makes you so certain they'll win their matches.
Toby while grinning- Because they're my friends. If I managed to pass they should pass no problem.
Tank clenches his teeth in frustration to the point where he broke his toothpick.
Tank- GET TF OUT!
He generates blue energy around his right fist which surprised Toby. Tank punches him sending him flying out the doorway. After a rough landing he turns around to see Tank joyfully waving.
Tank in a cheerful manner- See you at the forge. Byyeee. [slams door afterwards]
Toby- I'ma get you for this Tank.
Random voice- So you guys are coming out from the back.
Toby looks over to see Jaiven approaching him.
Toby- Oh yeah, I forgot you wasn't participating anymore.
Jaiven- SERIOUSLY IT HASN'T BEEN THAT LONG!
Toby while laughing- Mybad, I was too focused on my match. It was awesome, my first time dueling three people at once.
Jaiven- So did you go first or something?
Toby- Yep, but thanks to Tank I gotta sit out here instead of watching the others.
Jaiven- I mean, you're not a participant anymore. So it would make sense that you're no longer allowed in the building.
Toby- Yeah, but after a match like that. I can't help but wonder what the other matches would be like.
