"Deliora?"
Lucy asks Gray to explain further.
"It's a terrible monster that nearly killed me and my master, Ur, gave up everything to seal it away in this ice."
He starts to shake again.
"I don't know why it's here, but I won't let this 'Cold Emperor' or anyone else destroy my master's legacy! We will wait until the moon comes out to find out what's going on."
"What!"
Natsu screams out, visibly angry.
"No way! We're going to go and track those guys down and beat some answers out of them. I'm tired of all this sneaking around! I'm ready for a fight."
He starts to stomp around and he heads for the exit.
"No you're not!"
Gray runs over and punches Natsu into the nearby wall.
Lucy and Happy gasp at this.
"This has to do with my master Natsu! We will do this my way!"
The two argue for a few more moments and then settle down. Natsu finds a spot, then passes out asleep. Gray though finds a place to sit to process his thoughts.
Tato and Lucy find a spot as well and she ends up summoning a spirit who can play a harp. The melody she plays is soothing. Tato could feel his spirits lift, but Gray starts to cry as the song deeply touched his heart. It had reminded him of his past.
It wasn't long after that a giant purple light started to descend onto Deliora.
Tato wakes up Natsu and everyone runs up to the upper floor to find that the moonlight is still flowing from up above them.
"What's a magic circle doing here," Gray asks aloud.
"Come on, it looks like it still leads up above," Tato says running towards the next floor.
They track it all the way to the roof. They notice that there are people up there so the hide behind a rock to keep from being seen.
They all peer from behind it to see what's going on.
Tato sees many people, around 20 to 30 people standing around in a circle. They wear these weird ceremonial robes and masks and they could be heard chanting a weird language.
"They look like they're chanting some sort of spell," Lucy says.
Moonlight was falling as a purple beam down into the temple.
"Why would they want to revive that monster! It's insane," Gray hisses.
Voices could be heard coming towards their way, so the group ducked down to stay hidden but also so they can keep watching.
The three people from before were walking behind, as escorts, a man dressed in a white and purple robe. He wears a horned helmet and clearly looks important.
"Ugh, what a bother. I lost so much sleep looking for those intruders and couldn't even find them," Yaka says.
"Maybe there wasn't any," Toby yells.
They continue to walk until they got close to where the ceremony was being held.
"I'm sorry Cold Emperor, it seems that we had some intruders earlier but they've somehow escaped," Shelly informs him.
"Intruders?"
He grows quiet for a moment.
"So he must be their leader," Natsu whispers.
Tato could feel this guy was powerful, he wouldn't go down easy if they had to fight.
The Cold Emperor looks at the people performing the ceremony.
"Has Deliora been awakened yet," he asks Shelly.
She shakes her head.
"No. But it should be soon. Probably tonight or tomorrow."
"The revival is almost complete. If you see any intruders, kill them. I will not have anyone in my way."
Gray beings to start shaking as he recognizes the voice coming from the man.
"It must've been the villagers," Shelly says, "they're the only ones who are on the island."
The Cold Emperor waves his hand.
"Then destroy the village!"
"As you wish!"
Tato growls with anger at hearing this.
"But the villagers are innocent," Lucy says.
The Cold Emperor smiles.
"A shame really."
"T-That v-v-voice, it can't be," Gray whispers to himself. He is visibly shaken up.
Natsu jumps up and stands on top of the rock.
"Natsu what are you…"
"I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THE SNEAKING CRAP!!! THEY'RE NOT THE INTRUDERS WE ARE!!!"
He gathers up his magic and launches a huge fire explosion into the air.
All the enemies turn and are shocked by the group's presence.
Natsu smiles and giggles, visibly pleased with himself.
"Ugh, I guess there's no turning back now," Lucy says reaching for her keys.
The one named Shelly looks at Natsu's guild tattoo.
"Hey, I know that emblem."
She then looks to the rest of the group.
"That's Fairy Tail."
"Seems the villagers went to the magical guilds for help," Yaka said.
"Don't worry about them," the Cold Emperor says, "Go and destroy the village."
"What!"
Natsu and Tato growl in anger at this command.
"Anyone who stands in my way, wether deliberately or not… Is my enemy!"
Tato, Natsu, and Gray charge at him.
Tato fires three small consecutive ki blasts at him. The three yellow blasts miss as the Cold Emperor dodges them. He also dodges one of Natsu's fire dragon roar attacks. Gray then jumps and slams his hands down on the ground causing a a wave of ice to form and head for the emperor but he counters it with his own ice wave and they cancel each other out.
"He's an ice wizard too," Happy says, shocked.
"That's enough, Lyon!"
Gray stands up and keeps his guard up as he confronts the emperor named Lyon.
"Wait you know him," Lucy asks.
Gray ignores the question and continues to interrogate Lyon.
"Are you mad! Why would you be trying to revive Deliora?"
"Oh Gray, it's been a long time hasn't it?"
Lyon looks behind to the other three standing there.
"Do as you were ordered."
"Yes sir!"
They vanish to go towards the village.
"Hey! Come back here!"
Natsu takes off after them.
"No Natsu! Stay away from him!"
But it was too late. With a flick of his wrist, Lyon freezes Natsu in ice, but Natsu was lucky, his extremities and head were left unfrozen.
"Happy! Hurry and get Lucy out of here!"
"Aye!"
Happy grabs Lucy and flies off.
"Ack! I can't move!"
Natsu struggles to break the ice, but can't.
Gray then kicks Natsu away, and he starts rolling down the mountain.
"Yooouuuuuu jerrrkkkkkkkk!"
He screams as he rolls further and further away.
Tato had been ready for a fight but he began to understand what Gray was wanting. Gray had been wanting to fight Lyon alone.
Gray turned to look at him. Tato raises a hand to silence Gray.
"Just don't die," he says.
Gray smirks.
"Wasn't planning on it."
"I'm going to head to the village to try and stop those other wizards."
"Be careful," Gray tells him.
Tato hops in the air and starts to fly off, but he turns around to Gray. He smirks at him then flies off to save the village.
"Alright Lyon! It's just you and me!"
