Chapter 274 Entering a District
Aleshia wrapped up the class a few minutes later. With Lucia by her side, she returned to the kitchen to discuss plans. As she approached the party, Cecelia eagerly asked, "So, what are your plans for the outside? What quests did you receive?" The other party members also looked curious and gathered around, ready to listen.
Aleshia was happy to oblige their request. She took out the list of quests and placed it on a table nearby for everyone to see. "According to these and from what Daniel said, I would be retrieving horned rabbits, goblins, wolves, and lastly, a lost cat. When I asked for more information about the cat, Daniel mentioned that it was a pet someone had lost."
The party discussed the options and agreed that the proposed quests were reasonable. Brian stepped forward and said, "These quests are pretty straightforward and align with what we can do, so they shouldn't pose much danger." He continued, "Alright, everyone, gather your things. We've had our fill, and it's time to head back out. At this young lady's request, we're going to help her complete her quests." Brian declared.
The group collected their belongings and prepared to leave. Aleshia had very little to pack, so once everyone was ready, they exited the camp together. As they walked down the street, they approached the gates marking the border to another district. Unlike her previous adventure, they did not head toward the hole in the wall. Instead, it seemed they were heading toward the nicer parts of town.
As the wall loomed closer, Aleshia started to question the party about their plans, and the scout, Liam, replied, "We think that starting with the lost cat will be the easiest quest to complete first. If we wait too long, someone else might find it, or the cat could wander off, making the search area wider."
Aleshia nodded in understanding, recognizing that Liam's reasoning was sound. As they walked, she took note of the buildings around them and memorized several shops and eateries that seemed interesting. She planned to check them out later when she had more time.
"Halt!" a guard shouted as the group approached the gates. "What is your business trying to enter this district? Show us your identification, or you will be turned away," one of the guards commanded.
Kelly turned to Aleshia and said, "Please bring out your quest regarding the lost cat. That should be all the proof we need."
Aleshia complied and handed the quest form to the guard. He examined the document and asked, "Are you part of the Alliance?"
