The Anbu ninja answered truthfully—Kazuki indeed hadn't gotten involved.
Because there was no need.
Once the Third Hokage returned to the village, Tsunade would personally apply pressure. There was no reason for Kazuki to step forward and press the issue relentlessly.
When it was time to act, Kazuki wouldn't let any opportunity slip by, but when it was time to ease off, he knew how to relax.
The Sarutobi clan had already lost so many members, and all of them were elite forces. At a time like this, why bother pushing them further?
After all, they had gotten into this mess while serving the village.
Kazuki wasn't as shameless as the Third Hokage, who would target his enemies regardless of the situation.
"That's good."
Hearing that Kazuki hadn't taken action, the Third Hokage finally relaxed.
What he feared most was Kazuki seizing the opportunity, as he often did, to ruthlessly torment the Sarutobi clan once more.
Fortunately, his worries didn't come to pass.
"Take this scroll back to the Sarutobi clan for me. Also, inform Tsunade that I'll return to the village soon, and I'll give her a proper explanation for this matter."
Tsunade was preoccupied with financial troubles and hadn't escalated the Sarutobi clan's incident into a major conflict.
But just because Tsunade wasn't making a fuss didn't mean the Third Hokage wouldn't overthink it.
Having sat in the Hokage's seat for so many years, his first instinct when faced with such situations was to assume the other party was trying to force his hand.
Tsunade was the Hokage now, so it was only natural for her to have such thoughts.
The Third Hokage's perspective was even somewhat extreme—he believed Tsunade hadn't acted out immediately, only notifying him, because she was waiting for his return before unleashing her fury.
She was leaving him some face by not making the matter public.
If Tsunade knew what the Third Hokage was thinking, she would've cursed him out on the spot.
"Don't drag me into your delusions!! I'm worried about money, not your damn Sarutobi clan's mess! You're the one with a persecution complex, seeing everyone as a threat to your position and power. Not everyone is as twisted and extreme as you!"
"Yes, Lord Third Hokage."
The Anbu ninja obediently returned to the village with the scroll and the Third Hokage's message.
He relayed the words to Tsunade and delivered the scroll to the Sarutobi clan.
With the scroll brought back by the Third Hokage, the Sarutobi clan finally settled down.
No matter how much resentment they harbored, the clansmen could only wait quietly for the Third Hokage's return.
Tsunade, on the other hand, paid no attention to the Third Hokage's words.
Give me an explanation?
I don't need an explanation. If you've got the skills, conjure up a large sum of money for me instead.
What I need is money, funds—not your damn explanations.
The Sarutobi clan's embarrassing spectacle gave the other village clans quite the juicy gossip to feast on.
Kazuki, however, truly had no interest in dealing with any of it—because today was the day he took his little fiancée, Hinata, out for some fun.
Hinata was still young. Even though their engagement was official, Kazuki couldn't see her whenever he pleased.
Whenever he had free time, he would set aside a few hours to take Hinata out—whether for a stroll, a quiet sit-down, or a meal—to deepen their bond.
The elders and clan leaders of both the Uchiha and Hyūga clans approved of this arrangement.
In fact, today's outing only happened because Hyūga Hiashi had repeatedly urged Kazuki to take Hinata out.
As time passed and their meetings became more frequent, Hinata's initial nervousness and unease around Kazuki had faded significantly.
Now, the little Hinata had fully accepted her identity as the future wife of an Uchiha elder.
If any Uchiha respectfully addressed her as "Madam" now, she wouldn't blush furiously and wish to vanish into the ground like before.
Though she still felt a bit awkward, she could accept it with composure.
"How's the taste?"
By a secluded river far from Konoha, Kazuki and Hinata sat on the grass as Kazuki grilled meat for her.
Kazuki had never expected that the seemingly well-behaved, obedient Hinata secretly yearned for the outside world—something her clan had previously restricted.
Now that the cage had been opened, and her status confirmed, Hinata had begun embracing desires she once suppressed.
Like asking Kazuki to take her out, to cook and eat in the wild—even if the taste wasn't perfect.
Luckily, Kazuki's grilling skills were decent enough not to disappoint her.
"Mhm, it's really good!"
Hinata nibbled on the grilled meat, yet the pieces disappeared from her hands at an alarming speed.
Kazuki had long since discovered her bottomless appetite, and Hinata no longer tried to hide it.
Mainly because Kazuki forbade her from restraining herself like before.
Among all the women and girls Kazuki knew, Tsunade had a fairly impressive appetite.
But compared to Hinata? Tsunade was nothing.
Don't let the girl's petite frame fool you—her stomach was a black hole.
Kazuki remembered from the original series that Hinata once won a eating contest by devouring forty-six bowls of ramen—and that was with a time limit.
Without it… she probably could've eaten even more.
"Thank you."
Accepting the grilled meat Kazuki handed her, Hinata smiled happily and continued eating—small, delicate bites, yet at an unstoppable pace.
Her mouth never seemed to pause, as if the meat was vanishing into an endless void.
"Has anyone at the academy been teasing you lately?"
Kazuki reached out and ruffled Hinata's hair.
At his suggestion, she had started growing her hair out—now just long enough to cover her ears.
"No, they haven't."
Hinata shook her head, then clenched her fists slightly.
"Besides, I don't care anymore. Because I really am your fiancée."
Seeing her flushed cheeks, Kazuki laughed heartily.
"Don't worry about them. If those brats can't keep their mouths shut, I'll just have to teach them some manners. Don't be afraid of causing trouble—I'll handle it."
I'll have them assign endless test papers. Let's see how long they can keep laughing.
Even Naruto started avoiding her.
Kazuki's punishments were torture for him—endless test papers piled up in his home until he couldn't take it anymore.
Now, just hearing Kazuki's name made Naruto shudder.
"Mhm."
Hinata nodded obediently and continued her battle with the grilled meat.
She had grown accustomed to living under Kazuki's protection.
