Chapter 860 - The Graveyard of Kings — A Space Battle!

Around two years ago, the Storm Pirates had waged an over 1000-year-long War against the Half Deep One — Soul King — at Nowhere.

Soul King had bestowed the Luck Corruption Blessing upon Kai during his true Initiation Mission, letting him acquire a Glitch from Chaos.

Then, as He had already sealed Kai's memories, He arranged a faux Initiation Mission for him through the System.

As Soul King had been a Contestant before, He had His own Privileges that still lingered within The Primordial Tower to manipulate such things to some degree.

During that faux Initiation Mission in the Harry Potter Timeline, which was outside the Harry Potter Bubble, He arranged for Kai to obtain one of the most ridiculous Items — The Tales of Beedle the Bard — hiding a part of Him inside the Book.

Soul King had wanted to devour the Glitched Contestant, Kai Stormborn, regaining the Contestant status, with a Glitch this time, and effectively becoming a true Deep One.

If it wasn't for Kai's father, Alan Stormborn, more infamously known as The Banished One, coming to help him, Soul King had all but succeeded in the next few years.

In that war, Alan had to take the help of other Storm Pirates, which included the likes of Uchiha Madara, Julius Novachrono, Acnologia, Yhwach, Meruem, Princess Serenity, and even a Cartoon Character from the Graveyard of Kings — Ben Tennyson.

Despite their combined strength, the Storm Pirates had failed to defeat the Half Deep One.

Seeing no other choice, Yhwach and Princess Serenity had shifted Reality, changing imaginary to real, and transferred Madara, Meruem, Julius, Acnologia, and Yhwach to the Book.

Once inside, the five of them, with Alan, Ben, and Princess' help from outside, sealed the Soul King.

However, when their true bodies were returning from the Book, the Soul King attacked with His most potent power, trying to obliterate all of them.

Instead of letting the Characters, who were already beyond weak because of the Sealing, face the attack, Alan took the full brunt of the attack upon himself.

Even then, all the Storm Pirates were injured, with Alan going into a Coma.

To hide Alan's precarious situation from his enemies, Princess Serenity had taken Ben's help, taking him away to an unknown place.

Now, even the Storm Pirates themselves did not know where Alan was, or in what condition.

Also, Kai had no way to contact the Characters of the Storm Pirates, either. Not without creating countless Side Missions and searching for timelines where those insanely powerful existences could be.

A better way was to take Death's help in pinpointing a timeline.

But that would defeat the purpose of hiding it all from the Deep One.

And Kai had no other choice but to contact his father to know what was wrong with Zelretch's tempting offer. In The Primordial Tower, he trusted no one else with such grand information that could mobilize even the two Empires.

But how to contact Alan?

Kai didn't know his father's Code Name.

Nor did he know if he could contact a 19th-floor Contestant in the first place.

However, there were still two ways on which Kai could put his hope — The Faceless Men of Byagoona and…

Sighing to himself, Kai accessed The Primordial Tower Trade Market.

Kai was the Bishop of the Temple of Many-Faced God. Being a Faceless himself, he trusted his fellow Priests the least. Taking their help as a convenience was all good. For something this important, Kai feared he would only become a source of information for them, getting no results.

But the Faceless Men weren't the only ones who had contacted The Banished One regarding Kai.

Alan Stormborn had received one more letter.

It was this letter that showcased Kai using the Twin-Saber Style, a Legacy Ability, proving his status as Alan's bloodline.

And that letter had come from the 18th Floor.

— from a King — Kai's Sponsor of the Tournament of Worth — Contestant Purple Mist!

The Graveyard of Kings,

A red-white, rocket-like spaceship jumped out of hyperspace.

"Ah-ha! We are here!" Duck Dodgers declared, puffing his chest out. "At long last, we have discovered it—the fabled Planet X! Did you witness it, my loyal Young Space Cadet?! Did you behold the incomparable might of Duck Dodgers in the Twenty-fourth-and-a-Half Century!"

"Y-y-y-y-yes, s-sir," the Eager Young Space Cadet replied, gripping his seat upside-down. "W-what a b-b-b-b-b-b-b-brilliant—"

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Red sirens blared across the cockpit.

Dodgers' head smacked the control panel, sending the ship into a spin.

Through the massive front window, against the endless dark of space, a TIE fighter screamed past, hurling crimson lasers.

BANG!!

"I-it's a tr-tr-tr-tr-trap, s-sir!" the Cadet yelped, his head bouncing off the bulkhead, fresh bumps rising like balloons. "Sh-she's after us! A-again!"

"She's after me, Cadet!" Dodgers corrected, hammering random buttons that blinked without effect. "Remain calm! I, Duck Dodgers, shall deliver us from danger!"

The TIE fighter dove again, cannons blazing. A massive lever shot up from the floor in front of Dodgers with a clang!

Eyes wide, sirens flashing around him, Dodgers yanked it.

Science wept. Logic died. The spaceship jumped backwards into hyperspace—without turning, without warning, like a man taking a casual step back.

And in the next instant, the ship reappeared—directly behind the TIE fighter.

"Aha!" Dodgers crowed. "Precisely as I intended! Did you see that, Young Cadet?!"

"Y-y-y-yes, s-sir," the Cadet stammered, plastered flat against the wall. "Wh-what a b-b-b-brilliant m-m-m-maneuver!"

"Now, observe my pièce de résistance!" Dodgers sneered triumphantly.

He stared at the control panel.

Gulped.

Sweat rolled.

What to do now?!

Randomly, he slammed his fist on the single button marked: DO NOT PUSH ME!!!

The stars folded.

The vacuum of space crumpled like cloth in a careless hand.

Inside the ship, Dodgers spun like a rag doll, arms and legs limp, little cartoon stars circling his head.

The TIE fighter twisted in the warped space.

It's one wing snapped with a shriek of metal, bursting into smoke and fire.

"Ha… ha-ha…" Dodgers wheezed, staggering upright. "…Till n-next time! M-may the… how does it go again, Young Cadet?!"

The Cadet crawled forward, dragging himself to the giant lever. "M-m-m-may the F-f-f-f-f-Force be with you, s-sir!"

The rocketship lurched.

With one last flash, it vanished back into hyperspace.

In the TIE Fighter that they left behind, a purple-haired beauty gnashed her teeth, her evil gaze spewing anger beyond measure.

Before the Sith's anger could destroy her own spaceship, though, a notification appeared in front of her.

[Contestant Red is contacting you through Primordial Tower Trade Market…]
