Lorah continued shopping, still feeling his gaze on her like a predator on his prey. She took a deep breath and she leaned against a pillar, ' why was he still there, could they all leave her alone!' She screamed before she continued with what she was doing.
Her distress continued and her breathing became labored, her eyes became blurry as she felt herself going down even though she didn't want to, all she could hear was people shouting for help and a figure running to her and….and his scent.
Lorah woke up, still feeling her heading spinning and nausea taking control as well. " I'm glad you woke up, I thought you would not wake up again " mrs. Gu said, her voice dripping with warning.
" I'm…I'm sorry madam, I will get to work now " Lorah replied hurriedly as she tried to get up from the bed and she staggered backwards, " what are you doing!" Her madam shouted at her, making her frightened even more.
She grabbed Lorah by her arm and checked her, as if making sure everything was alright with her before making her sit down again, " look, Lorah, you! Don't work from now onwards okay….another maid has been brought into the house " mrs. Gu said finding it incredibly hard for her to be nice to Lorah, she just couldn't understand why it was Lorah and not her. Lorah stared in shock at the strange behavior of her madam but still didn't complain, she just nodded when she felt the madam waiting for her to understand the hard to understand words she was saying and with that she left her in her room.
Maybe she was too sick that her madam didn't want her to work for sometime, but thinking about it, what happened to her and why has even her room been changed? She thought as she pulled her knees to her chest.
She didn't know when she fell asleep when the sound of chairman Choi's black range entered the big compound and she looked out her window staring right at him.
" you've been late again?" The lady of the house came outside with a frown and Choi said nothing, just staring at his phone and she fumed even more nagging him again and he raised his head to glare at her, his icy blue irises narrowing on her and she moved backwards.
" I'm really tired and don't want any of this or do you think I have forgotten what you did to me and Lorah?" He said with a raised brow, and that was it! Her only way to be shushed. He shook his head before walking inside the house with her still dampened.
He was still angry with her, he agreed that he had a soft spot for Lorah but he never wanted to hurt her, to defile her to….break her, he still couldn't forgive himself for happened and even Lorah was avoiding him and he didn't like it one bit. He stopped at her new room looking at her door as if she was standing there and he could see her, he sighed before dragging his body to the guest room, he didn't want to share a bed with his wife anymore….. he was just done!
The next morning, Lorah was up already doing the laundry when she felt nauseous again, holding her breath for a while until whatever had settled down and she bowed her head on the washing machine, taking in deep breaths and sweat from on her forehead-
" are you okay?" His deep voice jolted her and he frowned, " master!" She said through her breaths and she tried to straighten up but it was strangely difficult for her.
" I thought your madam told you not to work anymore, you're not fit for this anymore " he said with worry and she frowned, she was about to ask the reason when the madam came into the kitchen, she stared at them with anger and jealousy. With that Lorah scarred away as if she had seen a demon and now Choi continued sipping his coffee not minding her presence, " what was going on here?" She asked and he just stared at her as if she was spouting nonsense. " you haven't told her yet! What are you waiting for, it's all you ever wanted, a news for the Gu family of having a child so you could God knows what?" He said mockingly, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he taunted her further.
He walked around her, taking in her appearance as if he had never seen her ever and she glared at him. He looked at her seriously before whispering the words, " you know…. You can't force her to have a child for you and your selfish desires, I pray she crashes all of it" he said softly before leaving her stunned again. At this rate she wanted to kill him!
Lorah sat on the floor in front of her bed, she looked lost, like she was counting or calculating and her eyes widened, this was bad! She thought before looking at her reflection in the mirror, she had gained weight with her appearance changing clearly and her belly...
"I'm pregnant!"
It was raining heavily since the morning and Lorah paced her room, sweating even with the drop of weather, she couldn't sleep well last night and the was just increasing and her madam forbid her from coming out of her room to over anyone seeing her, she just wanted to protect her unborn child so she complied. She held the edge of the bed for support as she was losing all her strength, a scream broke from her mouth, she tried to stop but came out anyway and she shivered.
" are you okay, Lorah….
" it's coming!!"
