Xzaivier charges again with a vertical overhead slash which simply fazes through Zephyr. Zephyr sheaths his wind blade and delivers a jumping roundhouse kick to Xzaivier's temple. Xzaivier feels his brain ache and crash against his skull as he falls to the ground. He loses consciousness and Zephyr approaches.
Zephyr: kicked the bucket already? Pathetic. You really had me thinking that Evander and Katherine made something worthy of defeating Gimori but you can't even defeat me, a simple wind blade user.
Zephyr sighs as he raises his blade for a killing blow.
Zephyr: guess I've gotta lure another idiot in here to fight me... Good bye Xzaivier.
???: Grim Reaper Slash!
Two purple conjoined slashes that form an X, burst their way through the gate before smashing into Zephyr as Yagumi flips over the gate and lands next Xzaivier.
Yagumi: Wake up! I said wake up!
Xzaivier doesn't wake or even stir.
Yagumi: Fine, I'll beat him myself.
Zephyr: (laughing) you can try.
The two charge at eachother, Yagumi raises his blades for an x-shaped slash but it fazes right through Zephyr as Zephyr dropkicks Yagumi away. Zephyr then flash steps his way to Yagumi and follows up with a smashing his to the gut with the pommel of Zephyr's wind blade. Yagumi skids backwards before puking a load of blood. Zephyr raises his blade.
Zephyr: Wind slash!!!
A barrage of violent, sharp and powerful wind slashes make their way to Yagumi who's currently on the floor. Yagumi's eyes widen at the hellish barrage of wind slashes.
Yagumi: (in his mind) Dammit!
Yagumi shuts his eyes as he braces for the decimation that's about to take place. The attacks arrive but he's somehow okay. Yagumi opens his eyes and sees an energy barrier around him and the source of the barrier is Xzaivier who's standing in front of him also inside the barrier. The Kanji for barrier is plastered on his forehead, glowing radiantly in yellow.
Xzaivier: I think I'm about ready to slaughter this arrogant bastard!
Yagumi: how exactly do you plan on doing that when we can't even touch him genius?!
Xzaivier: This Zephyr guy said every physical attack fazes through him, but he never said anything about energy or Kanji attacks .
Yagumi: So your plan's to strike him from distance? That's actually a pretty good idea. My grim reaper slash did hit him, so your little theory might actually be correct genius.
Zephyr claps slowly.
Zephyr: you've got the equation down but I'm way faster and more predictable than both of you combined. I can just flashstep over there before you can even react.
Yagumi: He's right.
Xzaivier: That where this comes in...
Xzaivier reveals the glowing Kanji on his hand, "chains" it reads. Zephyr looks down and sees 4 sets of chains. They have sprouted from the ground and now bind his legs and arms.
Zephyr: Damn. I see you're skilled in the art of Kanji power. You learn that just now or what?
Xzaivier: yeah I learned this Kanji just now while I was unconscious.
Zephyr: well let's see those attacks of yours!
Xzaivier and Yagumi prepare their blades and release a barrage of violent energy slashes but Zephyr smirks before raising his left hand which has a Kanji that reads clone as an identical clone of Zephyr forms before he raises his right hand which has a Kanji that reads switch. Zephyr switches places with his clone and his smirk widens. The attacks land on the chained clone, Zephyr quickly grabs his wind blade before dashing towards the two and summons two clones to stab Xzaivier and Yagumi but Yagumi uses grim reaper slash to dispose of both of them. Xzaivier slashes but fails it's in vain as It simply fazes through him. Zephyr then elbows Xzaivier in the groin but kneeling to dodges Yagumi's stab attempt before elbowing Yagumi in the groin. The two double over in pain.
Zephyr: Heh, these are the sword saints that are supposedly going to end Gimori's reign. Pathetic. Leave, both of you... Come back when you aren't so fragile! You feeble little things.
Xzaivier stands slowly, raising his blade.
Xzaivier: Don't you dare look down on me. Got it.
Zephyr: then bring it!
Xzaivier is about to attack but is held back by Yagumi.
Yagumi: it's not worth it, you'll just get yourself killed.
Xzaivier trys to resist Yagumi but Yagumi remains firm. Xzaivier reluctantly agrees but not without declaring that he'd be back.
Xzaivier: I'll be back, when I am you Will regret ever meeting me.
Xzaivier's eyes briefly flare with the energy of the shadow blade before he turns to leave.
Zephyr Laughs.
