The have a long, slender tail, silver feathers, with a yellow head, bright red circles on their cheeks, and a tall yellow crest that changes position based on it's emotion. They are sweet and docile, and very intelligent.
High-Gryphon: A true gryphon, from which all other gryphonids get their name. The High-Gryphon is a rare, Large four legged avian. weighing around 400 pounds and being 8 feet tall and 12 feet long on average, These massive beasts are usually wild, But a few are used as extremely expensive flying mounts by the higher nobility. Primarily carnivorous, They were hunted to the point of becoming endangered due to their penchant for snatching up smaller gryphonids, Drakes, and sometimes even children.
Lesser-Gryphon: Not as large as their High-Gryphon cousins, at only 6 feet tall and 10 feet long, The lesser Gryphon is much more plentiful and docile compared to their larger counterparts. Used almost exclusively as aerial mounts, They play roles in everything from Messengers, package and supply deliveries, and even aerial calvary units.
