Chapter 19 - Trapped in the Fog

Memories aren't just slipping away—they're getting all jumbled up like someone scribbled over your diary in the middle of the night. Alepou felt it deep in her gut, like something was seriously off. Everything from before this fucked-up world was turning into a hazy mess, as if her past had been redrafted by a clumsy editor. And then there was that damn name—Taiyo. It kept gnawing at her, a name that meant something important, but she couldn't figure out why.

She ran a hand through her hair and muttered, "Man, something's seriously off. It's been so long, but why do my memories feel like they're not even mine anymore?"

Nearby, Yuki folded her arms and sighed, "I've been feeling it too. It's not just about forgetting—it's like someone's been messing with our memories, rewriting our past like it's some crappy movie script. And that makes you wonder… who the hell are we if even our own memories can be faked?"

They sat in a silence thick enough to cut with a knife. Then, out of nowhere, Prince Gabrielle shifted awkwardly, his voice shaky as he asked, "Are we even talking about me here, or… someone else?"

Alepou glared at him. "No, we're talking about my brother, Taiyo. But now I'm starting to think… maybe this isn't just a random slip-up."

Yuki's eyes darted between them, confusion etched on her face. "Wait—are you saying…?" she began, but Alepou just nodded curtly.

"Exactly," Alepou said flatly. "My little brother wasn't even in your class, yet he always acted like he knew you inside out. And now, here we are—nothing adds up."

Gabrielle's face turned a deep shade of red. "I…I don't get it," he stammered, looking like he wanted to vanish.

Alepou leaned in, her voice low and rough. "You'd better start explaining—right now. If you're not straight with us, things are gonna get ugly, real fast."

There was a pause that felt like forever. Yuki's mind raced—was Gabrielle hiding something? And if he was, why had he been so damn quiet about it all?

Finally, Yuki took a deep breath and said, "Alright, if you're tangled up in this mess, you need to come clean. No more dancing around."

Gabrielle exhaled shakily. "Okay, okay… I'll explain. Just… let's try to calm down for a minute."

Alepou fixed him with one last hard stare. "You'd better, 'cause if you're lying, things are gonna blow up—and not in a good way."

So, what just went down?

Alepou's little brother, Taiyo, was always head-over-heels about Yuki—even if she never really noticed.

Yuki's left scrambling to piece everything together, but nothing's adding up.

And Gabrielle? He might not be who he says he is at all.

There's a storm of secrets brewing, and if Gabrielle doesn't set things straight soon, everything's gonna get seriously messy.
