Just as Aiden stood up to deliver the terrible news, something flickered in front of his eyes—his system.

His eyes widened, and joy surged through him.

"I've got it! I've got it!" Aiden shouted, practically glowing.

"Good work, kid!" yelled Toni, grinning ear to ear.

The others stared at him with a mix of confusion and relief. Toni shrugged. "What? I just didn't want to see the kid eat a real alien, alright?"

"I'm not eating him," Aiden said quickly. "But I'm definitely taking that Cosmic Silver surrounding his body."

"What do you mean?" Valeria asked, stepping closer.

"I can sense Cosmic Silver now," Aiden replied. "And from what I'm feeling, it's not his actual body. It's more like… a coat over it. His real body's under there."

"You're gonna… skin him?" Banner asked, disturbed.

"Very wicked," Wanda added, mockingly.

"What?! No, no! It's not his skin! It's like armor—a silver coating layered on top. Jeez!" Aiden protested.

"Oh… that's good," Banner said, visibly relieved.

"Shame," muttered Wanda with a teasing smirk.

Aiden left the others and entered the chamber where the Silver Surfer was held. The man was sitting up now, weak but conscious.

"Well, look who finally woke up."

The Surfer's eyes slowly focused on him. "What… did you do to my board?"

"I ate it," Aiden answered bluntly.

The Silver Surfer stared at him like he was insane. Then, he sighed. "It doesn't matter now… He's here…"

"Yeah, your boss is on his way all right," Toni said from behind Aiden, arms crossed. "Coming here to die. Real shame, huh?"

"Die?" the Surfer repeated. "Do you truly think mortals can kill him?"

"We can—if you help us a bit," Banner said calmly.

"There's nothing I can do. Galactus… is unstoppable."

"What's in it for you, then?" Richards asked.

"Nothing. It's simply my duty."

"Duty, huh? Well… shame," Aiden said, eyes beginning to glow.

His irises shifted to radiant silver as his magic activated. A powerful suction force filled the room. The Silver Surfer began to scream.

The radiant silver that coated his body—his armor, his shield—started peeling away like molten metal pulled by a magnet. The brilliant substance flowed straight into Aiden's mouth as if obeying a higher instinct.

The process was agonizing for the Surfer. But Aiden didn't stop.

He consumed all of it.

When it was over, what remained was a pale, ashen man—stripped of cosmic power, trembling but alive.

[Cosmic Silver: 100%]

Aiden looked down at him. "So that's what you really look like, huh?"

The man raised his head, shock and awe in his eyes. "How… did you…"

"Remember what I said when we first met?" Aiden asked, stepping forward. "I told you—I'd deal with you later."

He held out his hand, and in a flash of brilliance, he manifested a new board—made from the very Cosmic Silver he had absorbed.

A near-perfect replica of the Silver Surfer's former board.

Gasps echoed from the team.

"I'll give this back to you," Aiden said firmly, "if you vow to protect Earth. Once Galactus is dealt with, you're free to leave… and go home."

"What?" Toni blurted. "Why would you allow—"

Aiden raised a hand, silencing him.

The Surfer stared at the board… then at Aiden.

"I can… go home?" he whispered, voice trembling.

"Yes. I promise you that," Aiden replied. "All you have to do is help us kill—or repel—Galactus. Don't you want that? To go home… back to your people, your family… your wife?"

"…My wife…" he said softly, as if tasting the word for the first time in centuries.

A long silence passed. Then, finally:

"Yes. I do…" he breathed. "Can you really do this?"

Aiden nodded once. "I can. Trust me. Stand with us—and we'll set you free."

....

The massive screen at the front of the chamber displayed a haunting image: the vast, monstrous form of Galactus slowly drifting through the void of space, his silhouette blotting out starlight as he approached Earth. The room was filled with some of the most powerful minds and heroes on the planet—but for once, no one spoke with bravado.

Nick Fury stood at the head of the war table, hands folded behind his back. His one good eye scanned the crowd. Reed Richards. Charles Xavier. Steve Rogers. Tony Stark. Carol Danvers. Logan. Storm. Beast. Jean Grey. Doctor Strange. Peter Parker. Even Black Panther had flown in from Wakanda. The Fantastic Four stood to the side, silent. Everyone had been briefed.

The air buzzed with unspoken urgency.

"Less than twenty-four hours," Fury said gravely, nodding to the screen. "This is what we've got."

The projection shifted to show Galactus's trajectory: a slow, dreadful curve aiming directly at Earth. The time counter underneath was ticking down, second by second.

"We intercept him here," Stark added, pointing at the middle point between Earth and the moon. "We use the Goliath—that old Kree dreadnought we refitted last year. Big, ugly, packed with cannons and holding together with prayers. But she'll do the job."

"She'll slow him down," corrected Reed, "not stop him."

"Then we'll make it count," said Storm, arms crossed.

"We're running out of time," added T'Challa. "Valeria says she needs at least six more hours before the weapon's final assembly can begin. That gives us a window."

"We hold him," Captain America said simply. "That's the mission."

"The frontline's already chosen," Tony went on. "Big guns only. Carol. Thor. Strange. Hulk. Silver Surfer And of course—Aiden."

At the mention of his name, heads turned as the doors opened.

Aiden Blake walked into the room like he belonged there—calm, composed, radiating raw power. And behind him, stepping in with quiet grace, was the Silver Surfer.

Every eye locked onto him. The tension in the room spiked instantly.

Peter shifted in his seat. Wolverine tensed. Steve instinctively stepped forward.

"Relax," Aiden said, smirking. "He's with us."

The Surfer bowed his head. "I am."

It was Charles who broke the silence. "We've heard… but seeing it is another matter."

The Surfer stepped forward, eyes locked on the projection of Galactus.

"You already know the plan," he said. "So I will not waste time. What you face is not simply a being. He is a constant. A force. Galactus is hunger incarnate. You do not 'defeat' him. You endure him. Survive him. Or you vanish."

"You served him for centuries," Reed said. "How do we stall a cosmic force?"

"You hit him where it hurts," the Surfer answered. "His herald is gone. His approach is slow. He is vulnerable… only by the scale of what you've created. Cosmic Silver is one of the few materials that can interfere with his core frequency."

He turned his eyes to Aiden. "And your weapon… might be enough."

Murmurs passed through the room.

"If it works," Carol muttered.

"It will," Aiden said. "Valeria, Wanda, Jean—they'll get it done."

"They have to," Logan growled. "Because none of us are walking out of this if they don't."

"Which is why we hit him early," Stark said, switching the projection again. "We launch Goliath in three hours. She'll be stationed in his path. We throw everything we've got at him. Our heavy hitters go first. The rest of you coordinate the planetary defenses and be ready for orbital breach."

"Thor and I will lead the initial assault," Carol added. "Banner's going in early, and Strange will anchor our magical defense."

"Silver Surfer—"

"I will fly ahead and intercept him," the Surfer replied. "He'll recognize me. I may buy you a few minutes."

"Every minute counts," Rogers said.

"Is Val still getting what she needs from the Silver?" Strange asked, glancing to Aiden.

Aiden nodded. "She has more than enough. Now it's just about precision."

"And what about the witch?" Logan asked sharply, referring to Wanda.

Aiden's voice lowered. "She's working. You'll know when it's done."

The room fell quiet again.

Nick Fury finally stepped forward, resting both hands on the table. "We've stalled alien armadas. We've stopped gods. But this… This is different. This is survival. We hold him off. We buy our people time. And we trust the ones behind the curtain to give us the blade we need to cut this monster down."

He looked around the room, pausing at each of them.

"Suit up. Get your teams in line. Launch in three."

Aiden turned without a word and headed for the doors again, the Silver Surfer following silently behind.

As the doors slid shut, Steve muttered, "He really ate the guy's board, huh?"

Toni didn't look away from the screen. "And then he gave it back."
