Jiraiya already attacking Yuu upon hearing those words suddenly felt a cold shiver down his spine. He immediately tried to back away however he was shocked when Yuu suddenly leapt on to him wrapping himself on him. Meanwhile beneath his feet two pairs of hands grabbed his ankles, holding him down. Jiraiya looked down to see two other Yuus holding him down
"Shit shadow clones!" cursed Jiraiya.
"Shit Jiraiya boy, behind you!" warned Fukasaku. Jiraiya turned his head only to see three other Yuus already firing away their prepared Jutsus. Three water lasers travelled towards him at lightning speed. Shima immediately fired wind bullets at the two shadow clones holding Jiraiya's feet and the one latched onto him causing them to disperse however even then it was too late for Jiraiya to dodge. Just as Jiraiya was about to welcome his death, he saw something large land in front of him raising its sword in front of itself blocking the water lasers.
"Gamabunta!" shouted Jiraiya in relief. Gamabunta, a few seconds earlier, had managed to eradicate three shadow clones however the last two had been annoyingly persistent having already studied and analysed his attack patterns during the last few minutes of battle enabling them to dodge his attacks causing them to fall into a stalemate until a few seconds ago when Gamabunta had seen Jiraiya fall into grave peril and without hesitating jumped towards Jiraiya. Yuu's shadow clones did not waste this opportunity, they quicky unleashed a powerful wind and fire jutsu with all their chakra which combined to cause a devastating impact on Gamabunta's back.
Gamabunta, mid-air, grunted aloud from the scorching pain radiating from his back but resisted the urge to de-summon himself, quickly arriving in front of Jiraiya where he blocked the three water lasers. However, he was shocked to see that the water lasers easily pierced through his weapon, pierced through his large right leg heading right towards Jiraiya. The body of Gamabunta and his sword despite the situation had bought Jiraiya a few milliseconds which he didn't hesitate to use.
In the few milliseconds he had, Jiraiya instinctively tilted his body in an angle that allowed the water lasers to pass though the gaps of his arm pit and around his body saving his life. However, Yuu and his clones titled their heads in different directions causing the water lasers to move in different but same direction aiming to crisscross. Jiraiya once more analyzed the situation as quickly as he could however, he sensed that he wouldn't be able to make it out alive unscathed yet without hesitation, he spun his body to the left dodging two of the lasers, the third one however passed through his right arm slicing it clean off causing Jiraiya to grunt in pain. Losing his arm however did allow Jiraiya to leave the range of the water lasers saving his life.
"Phew Thank god I made it" said Jiraiya as he heaved a sigh of relief. "old geezers let's get out of her….." Jiraiya paused mid-sentence as he stared at a shocked and grief stricken Fukasaku.
"Fukasaku, what's wrong?..."
Fukasaku didn't reply but only stared behind him. Jiraiya turned around only to freeze in horror. In front of him lay Gamabunta, his entire left leg missing from the ankle downwards. However, this wasn't what had shocked Fukasaku and Jiraiya. What shocked them was the sliced corpse of Shima which lay in front of them, her guts spilled all over the ground.
Jiraiya mind turned numb at the sight as he asked himself how this was possible. It was only after a few seconds of thought that he finally realized what went wrong. You see when Jiraiya had dodged the attacks he had instinctively dodged accounting on the size of his body which worked out well for him and Fukasaku however Shima was unlucky. She must have met one of the water lasers head on which sliced right through her killing her.
'In short it's my fault that Shima is dead.' Thought Jiraiya in horror as he stood still. Gamabunta spotting Jiraiya and Fukasaku frozen in shock knew he had to act first. He first dispelled himself returning to Mount Myoboku where he quickly reverse summoned Jiraiya and Fukasaku. All of this took only four seconds.
Yuu and his five remaining clones, wanting to kill the two shocked individuals immediately launched firebombs and wind blades aiming to slice them into pieces and turn them to ash however the two disappeared in a puff of smoke causing the jutsus to miss them and explode creating a large crater.
'Dammit!' cursed Yuu as he gazed at the crater where a bit of ash of the corpse of Shima remained. The rest had scattered in the wind. 'Those two got away. Nevertheless, I doubt it was unscathed as I'm sure I felt one of my Jutsu connect.'
"You can come out now." Said Yuu as he glanced towards his right.
Meanwhile at Mount Myoboku, the toads gathered around the summoned beings in curiosity only to see a heavily injured Gamabunta, Jiraiya and a grief stricken Fukasaku.
"What happened?" asked one of the large toads Gamagoro with a look of concern.
Gamaken, who had arrived quickly explained the situation to the other toads up until the point where he had been dispelled. Jiraiya, who had regained his senses at this point with a heavy solemn tone, continued the description of what happened up until they were re-summoned by Gamabunta.
The surrounding frogs and toads all showed shocked looks at the tales of the Jiraiya and his companions.
"Whatever the case, you guys need immediate medical attention." Said Gamapuni. A small frog that wore a white coat. He was one of the frogs best healers.
Jiraiya nodded as he looked down at his own body which was missing both an arm and a leg. That's right, when Gamabunta summoned Jiraiya and Fukasaku, they managed to escape however during the process one of Yuu's empowered fire jutsus managed to blast Jiraiya's left leg right off right before he vanished in a cloud of smoke and this time Yuu managed to turn to ash Jiraiya's right arm and left leg with his attack ensuring they couldn't be put back. A lesson he had learned from his encounter with Hiruzen.
