Chapter 46 - Julia rushed Wendy to the hospital.

She went to the hospital with Wendy.

Wendy's husband also came as soon as he was informed to accompany Wendy.

While being taken into the theater, Wendy took her husband's hand and said, "If something happens to me, please you must protect the child."

Julia stood there on the side, quietly watching the scene. Her brain seemed to be stimulated, and she felt a strong sense of familiarity.

In her memory, she felt the same helpless like Wendy, holding Mrs.Robin's hand, and seemed to say something similar.

Just then Julia's face turned pale, her feet softened, and she sat on the chair next to her.

"There was some child, ...

She  muttered to herself, how could she have such a memory?

The sense of familiarity in my mind. What is going on?

Is it her memory, or where has she seen such a picture?

She was confused, there was panic in her heart, and unknowingly, a tear slipped from the corner of her eyes.

"What's wrong with you? Are you scared?" Wendy's husband came over and said with clasped hands,"Thank you so much today, are you okay?"

Julia looked dazed: "No, nothing."

She wiped the wet corners of her eyes, only to realize that Wendy had already entered the delivery room.

"Thank you so much." Wendy's husband said, he was very polite: "You are the one who has saved  my child and my wife's life."

You're welcome, there's no need for that, I only just made a phone call."

In that moment, the doctor called: "Wendy's family went to pay the bill..."

"I'll be right back." Wendy's husband said to Julia, "please wait here, I'll just pay the bill."

She nodded sadly, she was already swayed by emotion.

Lilian called her: "Julia, where have you been? Why haven't you come back? Audrey is angry, and she's looking for you."

Julia quickly said:"The manager from the sales department next door was about to give birth, and I took her to the hospital, and I will be back in a while. Please help me with Audrey."

"Then hurry up." Lilian exaggerated:"Audrey is an iceberg, you have already seen it first hand ."

Julia was amused: "Okay, I'll be back in a while." She was busy in the hospital for hours.

An hour later, Wendy gave birth to a premature, seven-month old who was healthy.

Wendy's mental condition was also very good, and she returned to the ward with her child.

Julia followed her to the ward to see her, and when she saw such a small child sleeping in the crib, her heart softened.

It was the first time she had seen such a small, newborn baby, and she had an indescribable feeling. Her heart was heavy, and for some reason, she had the urge to cry.

Wendy saw Julia's work card and said with a smile, "Julia? From the design department?"

She looked away from the child:"Well, yes, from the design department. I just reported today."

"Thank you for today. Once we are discharged from the hospital, I would love to have you as his godmother. You are my child's lifesaver."

She was flattered: "Mrs. George, you are really too polite."

Wendy asked: "Why, don't you want to be the godmother of this child?

Julia smiled and shook her head.

Wendy laughed and said, "Then it's settled, you must come to the child's baptism."

"Okay. Mrs. George."

"Don't call me that, we will be family from now on. Just call me Wendy."

Julia smiled: "Okay, Wendy."

Wendy is open-minded and enthusiastic, and Julia did not refuse her.

Wendy glanced at the sleeping baby beside her, and said, "This kid is too anxious, he didn't want to wait, and came out too early. Now I have to go on maternity leave.

Wendy has worked for the company for ten years. She recently got the opportunity to be promoted to the position of Head of department.

Just then, Wendy's husband walked in and said, "You and the child are safe and sound. If you want, we can go home. I will take care of you two."

Wendy laughed and said, "Then it's settled. She turned to Julia," You must come for  the child's baptism."

"Okay,Mrs. George."

"Don't call me that, we will be family from now on. Just call me Wendy."

Julia heard this very familiar word again, and thought about the conversation she had with Max in the morning.

In the eyes of men, it is only right and proper for a husband to support his wife and children, and it is also something that he is very proud of.

Wendy's husband's family are prominent , but Wendy is a-worker-holic, and an independent woman, so she insisted on going to work all the time, and she wouldn't rest even when she was pregnant.

She originally thought that she would not take maternity leave until her due date, which was next month, but she did not expect that the child would be born prematurely.

Julia didn't want to bother Wendy and her husband anymore. She had to go back to the company. She put some money for the baby in a sealed red envelope, and left.

She was the baby's godmother.

Julia bid the family farewell and  took a taxi back to the company. On her way, she couldn't help the way she was feeling. She decided to call her mother Mrs. Robin.

She wanted to figure out what was going on with those inexplicable images in her mind.

Mrs. Robin was with her sister at that time, comforting Erica about the sudden event that had just taken place,

When she saw Julia's call, she connected it immediately.

Mrs.Robin asked with concern: "Julia, it's your first day at work today, how is it going?"

"Mom, I'm fine." I assisted in taking a pregnant colleague to the hospital to give birth:

And now I'm on my way back to the company.

Robin smiled and said, "That's a good thing. It's helpful to have a good relationship with colleagues."

"Yeah." she held the phone and looked out of the car window:"Mom, when I saw my colleague wheeled into the theater a while back, I had something like a premonition, I was seeing things, the situation with Wendy felt too familiar.

Mrs. Robin's voice trembled on the phone, "Julia, what's wrong? What do you remember?"

Julia's unease grew, "Mom, I had a dream... I was in the operating room, and I held your hand. Was I really sick?"

Mrs. Robin's tone turned cautious, "Oh, Julia, you had an appendix operation a few years ago. You were afraid of pain, so you held my hand, just like when you were a child."

Julia's suspicion deepened, "Appendix surgery? That's not what I remember."

Mrs. Robin tried to reassure her, "Julia, you've been working too hard. You're stressed. Don't think about it."

But Julia's doubts lingered, "Mom, have I ever... given birth to a child?" The question escaped her lips, and she couldn't believe she asked it.

Mrs. Robin's voice rose in alarm, "Julia, don't be ridiculous! You just got married. How could you have a baby?"

Julia rubbed her temples, feeling overwhelmed, "Mom, I'm just confused. I saw Wendy give birth today, and I feel like I've forgotten something."

Mrs. Robin forced herself to calm down, "Julia, you're just stressed. Don't worry about it. Let's talk later."

After the call, Mrs. Robin contacted Samantha, her voice laced with worry, "Samantha, Julia's starting to remember. We need to distract her, make her focus on her relationship with Max. It's time for them to take the next step... and have a child."

Samantha's response was laced with concern, "Mrs. Robin, are you sure that's the best idea? Julia's already unsure about her past."

Mrs. Robin's determination was clear, "We have no choice. We need to make Julia's marriage with Max a success.

Samantha hesitated, "But what if Julia finds out the truth? She's already suspicious."

Mrs. Robin's voice turned stern, "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. For now, let's focus on getting Julia and Max closer. I want you to plan something to bring them closer to each other, something more intimate, somewhere secluded and beautiful."

Samantha nodded, even though Mrs. Robin couldn't see her, "Okay, I'll arrange something. But what about Julia? You know she can be a bit too decisive. Will she agree to this?
