Chapter 1 - White Silhouette

Navigating the infested surface teeming with endless raptures, she had survived and continued fighting on the surface long after the rest of humanity had retreated into the Ark.

She was relentless in her actions. As she entered another battle against the raptures, she dispatched them quickly. But as she moved through the area, a rapture caught her by surprise, firing on her and obliterating the side of a building. She swiftly returned fire, killing it, but failed to notice the building finally giving way. Collapsing on her, leaving little time to react, the building collapsed on her, plunging her into unconsciousness.

As Snow White opened her eyes from the darkness that she was plunged into, she surveyed her surroundings, immediately noticing the absence of the building that had collapsed on her. Glancing around, she realized everything had changed. The ruined city she had been in was gone; instead, she found herself in the heart of an unfamiliar forest. Disoriented and unsure of how she had gotten there, she decided her best course of action was to move to a safer location. With no knowledge of how she had arrived or whether raptures lurked nearby, caution was her only ally.

Snow White moved cautiously through the thick forest, her mind racing with confusion. How had she ended up here? It made no sense. Yet, despite the disorientation, she knew she couldn't afford to stop. Her mission remained clear: to press forward and eradicate every last rapture.

The forest seemed endless, but as she pressed forward, the sound of movement suddenly reached her ears—possibly a massive wave of raptures. Quickly, she prepared her seven dwarfs for battle, positioning herself for combat. Just as she steadied herself, her foes emerged, their presence finally revealed.

A towering walking tank, flanked by smaller units, quickly took notice of Snow White. One of the smaller units began advancing toward her, seemingly viewing her as vulnerable. Unsure if the machine was hostile, she remained cautious, watching it closely as it approached. Without warning, it raised one of its legs, preparing to slam it down on her head. Reacting instantly, she dodged the attack, aimed her rifle at the machine's eye, and fired—destroying it in a single, decisive shot.

Deploying all seven of her dwarves, Snow White swiftly engaged the units in front of her. The tank unleashed a barrage of machine gun fire, forcing her to dodge rapidly. The smaller units were quickly dispatched; her assault rifle was powerful enough to pierce their single-eyed weak points. However, her bullets proved ineffective against the heavily armored tank.[1] As she evaded the tank's relentless gunfire, the remaining smaller units charged at her, attempting to overwhelm her. But they were weaker than she had anticipated. When one managed to close the distance and swing its sharp leg down at her, she caught the limb with her arm, shocking the machine—humans weren't supposed to possess such strength. With her other arm, she raised her rifle and fired into its underside armor, destroying it. Without hesitation, she used the wreckage as a makeshift shield, holding off the other advancing machines.

The machines continued to fire relentlessly into their already destroyed comrade, attempting to cut through the wreckage to reach Snow White. Seizing the opportunity, she hurled the scrapped unit at the tank, then rushed toward another small unit. With her rifle empty, she slammed her fist through its glowing blue eye, using its collapsing body as temporary cover. Without hesitation, she charged at yet another unit, slamming into it with brute force before firing a precise shot into its eye, destroying it instantly.

With all the smaller units destroyed, only the walking tank remained in her path. It was too close for her to fully activate her seven dwarves and use them to destroy it, so she decided to charge at it head-on. The massive machine and Snow White locked eyes, the tension between them reminiscent of a western duel—only the fastest would prevail. In a flash, she grabbed her rifle and fired a precise shot at its leg, causing the tank to stumble. Seizing the moment, she charged forward, leaped onto its turret, and unleashed a barrage of fire from above, completely obliterating the machine.

With all threats temporarily neutralized, Snow White knew she had to move quickly. Staying in one place risked drawing enemy reinforcements, and she couldn't afford to be caught off guard. For now, her priority was to figure out where she was and identify the forces she was up against. While they were nothing she couldn't handle, it would be wiser to avoid direct confrontation until she fully understood what she was dealing with. Her best course of action was to seek out anyone who might provide information—assuming, of course, there was anyone left alive to tell her anything.

Snow White moved cautiously through the rugged terrain, skillfully avoiding enemy patrols as she hunted and scavenged for whatever food she could find. The days blurred together, each one a monotonous cycle of survival and evasion. But her routine was interrupted when she stumbled upon a strange sight: a destroyed mechanical unit, unlike any she had seen before. It was a crude, hastily constructed machine, clearly designed for a single pilot. From the looks of it, the pilot had met their end in battle, leaving the unit as little more than scrap. Intrigued, she examined the wreckage, noting its inferior craftsmanship and the unfamiliar design. Realizing this could be a clue, she decided to follow the trail.

As she moved toward the source of the distant explosions and gunfire, the urgency in the air spurred her to quicken her pace, eager to glimpse the unfolding battle. Navigating the rugged terrain, she finally reached a vantage point. Below, the Legion was relentlessly advancing against a pair of lightly armored, underequipped machines. She hesitated, unsure whether to intervene—these forces could be friend or foe. Her eyes locked onto a daring unit attempting to outmaneuver a towering tank, only to become ensnared in the muddy ground, immobilized and vulnerable.

The tank loomed closer, its turret swiveling menacingly toward the trapped unit. Without a second thought, she raised her sniper rifle, the barrel steady as she charged its energy. With a single, precise shot, she struck the tank's turret ring, severing it cleanly and rendering the machine useless moments before it could deliver the killing blow.

As the echoes of battle faded into silence, she observed several similar units approaching the stranded machine. The cockpit door opened, and a young girl climbed out, her movements weary.

The other units gathered around, working together to free the trapped machine from the mud. It was clear now—they were human. She continued to watch from her concealed position, noting how the girl gestured animatedly, likely recounting the mysterious shot that had saved her. The other units began scanning their surroundings, their movements cautious but deliberate.

She weighed her options. Revealing herself seemed like the best course of action; even if they turned hostile, their armaments were no match for her. With a calm resolve, she rose from her hiding spot and began making her way toward the group. As she approached, several of the units turned their attention to her, their redeye locking onto her figure as she closed the distance.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

As the white silhouette approached, the group watched in surprise. Despite the heavy equipment she carried, she moved with effortless grace, as if the weight were nothing. Before she could get too close, one of the members stepped forward to intercept her, causing her to stop mid-stride.

Shin decided it would be better to speak to her in person rather than from the cockpit of his Juggernaut. He dismounted and walked toward her, closing the distance until he was within speaking range. Breaking the silence, he initiated the conversation.

"We appreciate you saving our friend," he said, his tone sincere. "My squadron and I would like to thank you in any way we can." As he stood before her, he noticed the faint orange glow emanating from her eyes and the intricate, unfamiliar plating of her armor. Was she from another nation? Had she somehow traveled all the way to San Magnolia?

"I saw they were in trouble and only wanted to help." she replied, her voice calm but firm. "If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate some information about this area." She held his gaze, waiting for his response. Shin nodded and gestured for her to follow him.

As they approached the group, she noticed that the soldiers had dismounted their units. To her surprise, they were all young—far younger than the typical age of a soldier. Their eyes were fixed on her, a mix of curiosity and awe as they took in her advanced equipment. It was clear they weren't used to encountering outsiders.

As Theo dismounted and looked at the others he realized something "You know its kind of weird we didn't see her until now considering she's wearing all white" Some of them nodding along

"Well Shin, are you going to introduce your new friend?" Shin looked over to Raiden as he made his way over to him. Snow White watched him walking over to his friend Shin as he addressed him and so she decided that it would be best to let them know her name before they decided to trade any information to at least gain a sense of trust.

"My name is Snow White, we should get moving before any more of their forces decided to regroup and attack" As she prepared to move the man named Shin quickly spoke.

"There's no need to worry, they wont be back any time soon, but lets start heading back to our base so we don't get stuck out here." They start making their way back to their juggernauts and start moving back to base.

As they arrive back they quickly introduce their friend to the maintenance crew to which Aldrecht was left completely speechless considering they just came back with a plus one instead of a loss. As soon as everything was taken care of everyone started chatting up a storm considering this had never happen before.

Snow White, Shin and Aldrecht gathered in the hanger to talk, of course the entire rest of the team all gathering wanting to listen in on everything curiosity getting the best of them.

"This might come off as ignorance or maybe stupidity, the forces we fought, who exactly were they?" Both them stood quiet, unsure if she was joking, the Legion? who else? where had she been missing the entirety of the war against the Legion.

"Well miss, I'm not sure where you came from, but those things are the Legion, we've been at war with them ever since the Empire of Giad declared war, enough time that anyone who's still alive should know about them" hearing his words about the Legion came as a surprise, but it all made sense, a place like would have been torn to shreds by the raptures.

The Legion posed no threat to her, her weapons were highly effective, and she could easily outmaneuver them due to her size, but what they had were number just like the raptures although the lack of advanced weaponry made them inferior to them.

"If you don't mind me saying, where exactly did you come from, the legion don't exactly just let anyone through the entirety of their lines, especially someone with all that firepower." The questioned seemed reasonable to ask considering one person could make their way through the entirety of the front lines without being turned to pink mist.

"Unfortunately even I cannot answer that question, I had an unfortunate event that has led me here but more fortunate for you and your friends." Glancing over her shoulders towards the crowd who were unsuccessfully hiding in the back. "But if you could help me with one thing, where exactly is this place located?" Aldrecht took a deep breath

"Well miss, we might as well welcome you to San Magnolias Eastern Front First Ward First Defensive Squadron, The Spearhead squadron, welcome to the hell that has been place upon our shoulders."
