" Mira,who made you so sad, I feel bad,is it because of me?". Xandra sniffled beside me.
' I feel even worse for you'. I thought.
Jade already told me about the side effect of her treatment. So I didn't worry much.
" Will you stop crying?". I said to her.
" How can I not cry when you are so sad? What happened to you? Did someone hurt you?".
" No, not at all, I just, I was just reminded of Drey and Max". I blurted out so she would stop asking what happened but instead,she burst into tears.
" Max,oh my Max. I feel so bad for him. If not for me,he wouldn't have died and now, I even got sick and almost couldn't keep my promise and take care of Nelson".
" Don't feel so bad, I'm sure he's happy where he is". I said almost getting angry.
I was angry at them for putting us through that. Although Xandra never said it to my face before.
I knew she felt guilty about Max's death so she spent all her energy on taking care of Nelson while repaying her debt.
I felt so angry when I thought about it.
" Do you really think so? Is he happy?".she sniffled.
" Of course I'm sure. How could he not be happy when you love his son so much".
" Really,well, Nelson is also my son, it's a given I show him love".
" I'll like to take a nap, could you give me some space?". I couldn't bare to talk anymore without blurting out that,
" Are you out of your mind? Why would you feel guilty about a coward who faked his death and lied to you".
But I couldn't, apart from promising Drey not to, I don't want her to go through anymore shock.
I couldn't help crying after Xandra left. I was glad that he's fine but more than that, I hated him for hiding it from us.
Also, despite getting caught,he still won't come out clean. He wants me to give him a month or two, he would come back to us.
Shawn's pov;
" I don't want Nelson to be involved in all of this drama,what should I do?".
" That's through, things are about to get rough,we must send him someplace safe". Drey added.
"Well, I have a friend who's sponsoring Nelson's school. How about I have him sponsor a school trip and use it as an excuse for Nelson to leave".
" Let it be to Los Angeles. I have people there that can help me protect him and keep him safe". Drey said.
" Ok, it's decided then. I'll give him a call and surely Nelson will be gone latest next week".
Xandra's pov;
" Wait, Nelson, that's so sudden. You have a school trip to Los Angeles and you are to leave in 3 days?". I asked alarmed.
" Yes mummy. It's sponsored so you don't have to give me any money. Everything's been covered". He stared at me with his signature puppy eye.
That got me even more suspicious,' everything has been covered? Why do I feel like someone is intentionally sending out?'.
' well, it's good to have him out of town at a time like this, right?'. I thought.
" Mummy. Will you let me go? Don't worry, I'll be good and won't make you worry about me".
" Mummy's not worried about your safety. It's just that mummy will miss you very much". I sniffled and hugged him.
I knew the enemy don't have to waste resources like that just to get rid of him so it had to be a friend and there's only one person I can think of that cares for Nelson so much.
I smiled. " Don't you have a trip to go. Shouldn't you start preparing?". I said to Nelson and his face lit up immediately.
" Yah, you are letting me go. Thank you so much mummy. Don't worry I won't make you miss me too much". He said as he jumped his way to his room upstairs.
" Be careful not to trip, cutie".
" I won't, I won't".
