The Emiya residence.
At some point, I finally fell asleep, albeit on the sofa, but woke up in my bed in my room from the incredible heat and cramped conditions. Of course, it was Morgan and Tia who had settled down next to me and used me as a pillow and cuddle toy.
Now all the residents of the Emiya residence, including the emissaries of Heaven, were sitting at the common table and eating breakfast at their usual pace, except for Merlin and Mo-chan. Well, I slowly enjoyed my morning coffee, feeding Gabi, who was sitting on my lap, sleepy Tia, and a decidedly satisfied Morgan.
- "So," Morgan began when I glanced in her direction. "How was your visit to Olympus?"
- "Olympus?!" exclaimed Irina, stunned.
- "Knowing you, should we prepare for war?" asked Griselda with a hint of irritation.
- "Romani-san... You didn't do anything, did you?" asked Gabriel, now casting a worried glance at me.
- "Huh? You don't trust me that much? Even you, Gabriel-san?" I raised an eyebrow, to which Irina said nothing, Griselda nodded confidently, and Gabriel lowered her head in shame. "Anyway, I just spanked them a little."
- "Spanked?" Archer crossed his arms over his chest. "Well, if you count two spells of at least A++ rank and the use of Noble Phantasm, then yes, you really did just 'spank' them."
- "What are you...?" Griselda was about to protest when she was interrupted by Gil's cheerful laughter.
- "You made the king happy, you rascal!" he said, laughing. "I think I'll forgive you for not telling me about your visit.
- "Now, now, Gil," Enkidu smiled. "You're such a tsundere."
- "Huh? What are you talking about?" Gil didn't understand. "I'm just showing the courtier the king's generosity. And what is 'tsundere'?"
- "Oh? What's that? The Great King of Heroes doesn't know the meaning of a word? Am I going crazy?" Archer said mockingly, and I rolled my eyes, already used to this kind of thing.
- "The king didn't give you permission to open your mouth, Faker."
- "I don't need orders from some king," Archer retorted and grinned. "Besides, I don't see any king here — just a rooster with a stick up his ass."
- "You're clearly seeking death, Faker," Gil snarled, and two golden portals appeared behind him, with staffs protruding from them.
- "My queen, King Gilgamesh, why don't we calm down and enjoy our meal?" Lancelot suddenly intervened, causing Archer's eyebrow to twitch.
- "Yes, QUEEN, why don't you admit your insignificance before the king and return to your meal?" Gil asked with a smirk on his face. Archer was about to respond when Artoria, her cheeks puffed out like a hamster's, stood up to defend Emiya.
- "No one dares to insult my queen!" she declared, barely audible due to the amount of food in her mouth, and summoned Excalibur, covered in Wind Protection. "Not even you, Gilgamesh!"
- "Saber, not again..." Archer muttered defeatedly.
- "Now, now, Artoria. Chew first, then speak," Medusa chuckled, causing Artoria to blush with embarrassment. She quickly chewed her food, trying to regain her threatening appearance. However, a few crumbs and a few drops of sauce remained on her face.
- "And your manners still leave something to be desired," Morgan said casually, and Artoria naturally turned her gaze to her. "But then, what else could be expected from my talentless sister?"
I rolled my eyes again and focused on feeding Tia and Gabi so as not to become part of all this.
- "The pot calling the kettle black?" Artoria sneered. "Aren't you ashamed to say that, Morgan?"
- "Come on, sister," Morgan dismissed her. "I'm always happy to lend you a helping hand."
Artoria's pupils narrowed at this veiled remark.
- "You've always had a sharp tongue," she said, then smiled. "But it didn't help you take my throne, did it?"
Now it was Morgan's pupils that narrowed.
- "You've learned something, sister," she said, standing up and extending her hand, which held her axe-staff. "Shall we settle this as usual?"
- "Um..." Irina asked cautiously, raising her hand like a schoolgirl. "Can we live in peace... please...?"
- "Yes..." Gabriel nodded in agreement. "Violence is not the answer."
Did anyone listen to them? Of course not. And when the Servants were ready to pounce on each other, I snapped my fingers and teleported them far away from here so they could settle their differences there.
After all, I didn't want to see any damage to MY house, and the training ground would hardly have been able to hold all four of them.
- "Well, that was fun," Medusa said with a sly smile on her face and glanced at the time. - "I have to get to work. Enkidu, are you with me?"
- "Uh-huh," he nodded. "Gil will figure it out somehow."
- "We should go too, by the way," Lancelot began, glancing at Runeas, who was giggling quietly. "Lady Gremory, we can't be late."
- "Huh? Can't we skip a day or two?" she immediately asked, looking disappointed, then flashed a teasing smile. "Or are you in such a hurry to see your sweetheart?"
- "Unfortunately, Sanada-san still won't give me a chance to prove myself," Lancelot said sadly. "But I'll keep trying!"
- "That's the spirit!" Runeas nodded. "Well, let's go. If only for the sake of these amusing scenes with you, I could put up with this devil in human form for another day."
- "That's a little hurtful, Lady Gremory," Lancelot shook his head.
And with that, the four left the house, leaving only the representatives of Heaven, me, Rea-chan, Gabi, and Tia at the dinner table. Hercules was apparently still thinking about what had happened on Olympus and therefore often went fishing, while the Assassins, as usual, hid in the shadows.
- "Finally, the house is quiet again," I said and took a sip of coffee, stroking Tia's head, which was resting on my shoulder. "What news from Heaven and the Church? You haven't been seen for quite some time, and everything has been quiet."
- "None," Griselda said categorically.
- "Well, yes, rude as usual, a nun with an indecent body," I rolled my eyes.
- "For you, that's the only acceptable way to communicate."
- "Griselda!" Gabriel pouted. "Romani-san is right. You're too rude to him."
- "I apologize, Lady Gabriel. I will try to be better."
- "Well done," smiled the seraphim, clearly not understanding the nun's remark. "In any case, Romani-san."
- "Hm?"
- "Thank you," she said to me, causing me to raise an eyebrow in confusion. "Your words back then... they helped me. Now little Gabi and I are sisters. She's not shy about asking me questions or asking for help when she needs it. We even went to the park!"
Gabi nodded and smiled, apparently remembering something good, Tia clapped her hands happily, Griselda softened, and Irina began to melt. I just shrugged, because, in essence, I hadn't done anything. In any case...
- "Tia."
- "Aaaa~"
- "What did you decide in the end?" I asked her, because I was quite curious to know what they had come up with, if they had come up with anything at all, of course. At my question, Tia looked thoughtful and put her finger to her chin.
- "Aaaa~" she sang with a sly smile on her face.
- "Oh? Is it a secret?" I giggled and pinched her cheek lightly, causing Tia to pout and cross her arms over her chest, although this only made her look even cuter and more beautiful. "Well, okay. Just don't copy everything Morgan does, okay? I wouldn't want my sweet and kind Tia to turn into another Morgan."
- "Aaaa~," she sang and hugged me, and I smiled and began to stroke her silky hair. However, I noticed two glances directed at me. Although the emotions in them were slightly confused, I clearly felt a slight envy mixed with something incomprehensible.
I raised an eyebrow and looked at the sources of the glances, namely Gabriel and Griselda.
I expected something like this from the seraphim, but a nun? Heh. I thought that time had passed and everything was different now. Anyway, never mind. Right now, I had other things to do, namely, visiting the Underworld and watching the Rating Game between Rias and Sairaorg.
The next couple of hours passed quietly. Tia went to check on Tiamat and talk about something, Irina went to say hello to Issei's parents, and Griselda and Gabriel went to look at the destroyed church in Kuoh to assess the complexity of its restoration. I was lying on the couch until the moment when a magic circle appeared in the living room, and, interestingly, it was not silver or red, but blue.
- "Hm? So-tan? Will you accompany me this time?" I asked the demon who had emerged from the magic circle, tilting my head to the side.
- "Yes, Lord Lucifer is a little busy at the moment," she nodded. "Do you mind?"
- "Nah," I shrugged and got up from the couch. "I was just about to talk to you. I guess I'm in luck."
- "Talk?"
