By the evening, the whole of the old Empire was hauntingly empty. The Emperor tried to convince Damian to place some waygates so he could instantly send some people from Dawnstar here, but Damian refused it to his face.
No favors until there was something equally valuable being offered. The Emperor then sneakily tried to join the dungeon exploration with the demons, but Damian refused that too. He had enough people in Sanctuary and Malveria to do this for him—and if there was any risky business involved, he could always hire mercenaries. They would go above and beyond for the chance to enter a dungeon. At last, he only agreed to meet the guy after a week to hear the revised offer.
Finally, it had all ended. Damian brought his people back to the Sanctuary—they buried the bodies and mourned for the soldiers who had lost their lives in the last battle against the demons.
