If there was a third person perspective observing the situation, they would really want to intervene. It was not everyday where you would see a group of ten Master Plane Cultivators surrounding a Cryptic Plane kid. Of the group, one with the hat was at the seventh stage of the Master Plane!
The second powerful was in the sixth stage and two of them were in the fifth stage. Three were in the fourth stage and two were in the third stage. As the for the final one, he was the weakest and he appeared to have broken into the Master Plane recently.
But it was shocking he was almost reaching the peak of the first stage and close to the second. He was the one with the dagger and without hesitation, he flashed forward with a speed a Cryptic Plane Cultivator could not keep up with.
...
Alaric watched without moving as Jack dashed to him. The speed was high for normal Cryptic Plane cultivator but to him it was slow. Too slow at that. He watched every movement made by Jack and analyzed everything from where the attack would land and even caught the faults in his handling of the dagger.
By the time he reached him and sliced the dagger at his neck, Alaric had already formulated various methods to counter but he grinned as he thought of a flashy counter.
Jack who was midway through happened to look at the kid and he felt his heart clench. He wanted to bet that it was his eyes that were playing trick on him. That grin... It gave him an uncomfortable feeling.
But as determined as he was to make his first kill, he pushed the thought to the back of his mind and resolved his will. This was the true initiation into the gang. He could not afford to fail. Not when he came this far.
Jack appeared before the kid and slashed the dagger at the kid. He looked at the kid and he was shocked when he realized that the kid was staring back at him. From his calculations, he was supposed to slice the neck with a single sweep.
The look in the kid's eyes... Like he was amused... What was happening?.. It was then he realized that his dagger could not move forward. Also, he was abruptly stopped. A smile appearing on the kids lips. That victorious smile...
The others were shocked when they saw Jack stop. Even his dagger was just inches away from the kids neck.
"Hey Jack, don't dare ruin this chance. Just kill him already and stop messing around," Diego said with a serious look in his face.
As for Jack, a cold sweat trickled down his back. He could not move his dagger forward or even pull it back. A sweat matting his forehead. He was yet to register the arm on his wrist but when he did, he let out a scream as he tried to pull his arm away.
The others were shocked. But they laughed it off. Jack was practically the joker in their group so they thought he was playing around.
"Stop making a scene and finish him already," a guy behind Alaric said mid laugh. None of them had yet seen the grip on his hand.
In their laughter, it all came to a pause when they heard a crack. At this, their brows furrowed. It dawned to them that something was wrong as those at the front saw Jack's wrist in a tight grip.
Alaric sneered as his grip on the wrist shifted and he twisted it and breaking it. Jack's cry increased as his grip on the dagger loosened and he dropped it steps behind himself. But that was not enough as Alaric added a sixth stage pressure on the broken wrist and crushed the bones making the hand useless.
Jack writhed and Alaric let go of him. Jack took staggering steps backwards towards the dagger, horror written in his face and his eyes were all red from pain. But his eyes widened when he saw the next actions of the kid.
Alaric did not hesitate as he took a step forward and in the next instant unleashed a kick aiming at Jack's chest. When the kick landed on the chest, a few resounding cracking sound filled the alleyway.
Jack appeared to be attached on Alaric's feet for a second as five crack's sounded and in the next instant, he was flung backwards as his feet left the ground and his body curving in a inverted ' C ' shape.
The speed was to great and the two next to Diego who were all in the the third stage were caught offguard. One was too shocked that he was yet to realize that a body was flying in his direction.
When he finally reacteeld, it was too late as horror filled his face as Jack's body crushed with his sending them flying. The moment Jack hit him, Jack spluttered a mouthful of blood. His eyes becoming white having rolled backwards. Fainting from pain instantly.
The guy was irritated as he kicked Jack's body off himself and stood up but what he saw next was the last thing he was going to see in his life as a dagger sliced through the air aiming between his brows.
No one knows when he did it but Alaric did not waste time. The others were shocked by his prowess but did he have to? His tip of the foot tapped on the hilt of the dagger that was just before him with a calculated precision.
The dagger rose in the air and Diego was first to react but he did not know what to expect. He watched as the dagger spinned in the air but he was shocked when the kid leapt from the ground landed a kick on the dagger's hilt.
One could have thought that he was a football striker as his foot landed cleanly on the dagger and giving it a sense of direction. The speed was impossible to keep up even for Diego. The dagger tore through the air and it was just in time as the guy sat up after throwing Jack's body away.
His look of unwillingness and helplessness was understandable. After all, he had yet to even use a new trump card. He died his eyes wide open as the dagger pierced between his brows the whole blade piercing into his head and even the handle dag a few inches into him.
Everyone was shocked. What they were seeing was supposed to be impossible. They had just witnessed Alaric cripple one of their own and kill another in a flash. Not more than five seconds in between. Diego's brows furrowed it was then it dawned to him.
They had messed up. Big-time at that. Thing having reached that point, it was only obvious there was no going back. It was going to be an all out fight now. And it was to the death. Either of them had to die.
But as they came to that conclusion, it was too late for the second guy who was in the third stage. Even Diego did not understand how the kid got past him. But the wind behind him that blew his hat away spoke volumes. They were done for.
Alaric knew that his energy was weak to use it to fight and the same went for his elements comprehension being too weak for him to attack using them. But, he had two speed elements in him and when he combined them together, they increased his speed marginally.
Alaric was in the sixth stage of the Master Plane in his Body Cultivation and his speed when coupled with the two speed elements surpassed that of the seventh stage. This explained just why Diego could not keep up with him.
He only saw the wind but not the lightning that flickered in Alarics eyes. The second guy who was in the third stage just felt a trickling sensation on his face before he registered the palm on his face.
Before he knew what was going on, he was already falling backwards and when he fell to the ground, a crack appeared on the floor as Alaric's palm put pressure on his face and coupled with the floor, there was a crack of a bone or rather skull, and the guy's face distorted but that was not all as blood pooled on the ground coming from the back of his head.
The blood first filled the cracks and then pooled on the ground drenching him. It was obvious he was dead and his brain had been turned to marsh. When Alaric removed his palm, the nose was broken and several teeth were broken, the tongue dropped on the floor.
It appeared that the guy had tried to scream but he was silenced and forced to bite his tongue off and that resulted in him breaking his teeth and lower jaw. Alaric suddenly felt the hair on the back of his neck rise and he rolled sideways and shot a glance backward as he glared at Diego who was attempting a sneak attack with a sword.
Diego swinged his sword aiming at Alaric's neck but he hesitated when he saw the cold glare in the kid's eyes. But he was quick to shake the feeling off and pierced the sword aiming to kill after changing the trajectory of his attack...
