Stopping at the porch, Chu Xinning bit her lip.
"That's right! So... just keep hating me. It was me who betrayed your father, betrayed you, I don't deserve... to be your mother!"
Taking a deep breath, Chu Xinning quickened her pace, chasing out of the hallway, watching as Qin Zhaoyang stepped into the elevator. She immediately sped up to catch up with him.
"Qin Zhaoyang!"
Qin Zhaoyang raised his left hand, struggling to press the close door button.
The elevator doors closed slowly. Before the doors fully shut, a slender hand reached in, stopping the quickly closing doors. The elevator doors reopened, revealing Chu Xinning's concerned face.
His vision was flickering with bright lights and shadows. Qin Zhaoyang could hardly believe his eyes.
He must have been mistaken!
His vision went black, and he helplessly fell toward the ground. Chu Xinning rushed over, kneeling to catch his falling body.
