Yan Luoxi had just returned to the hotel when Secretary Lin called. While walking, she answered the phone, "Okay, I understand. I'll be in Mr. Li's office promptly at nine tomorrow morning. Thank you, Secretary Lin."
"No need to be polite, President Yan. This is my duty. If there's nothing else, I'll hang up now."
Yan Luoxi hung up the phone and saw the elevator doors about to close. She quickened her pace and pressed the up button. The elevator doors slowly opened, and she hurried inside, nodding apologetically to the person inside, "Sorry."
There was only one person in the elevator, carrying a military canvas bag. When his gaze met Yan Luoxi's, he anxiously looked away, instinctively clutching the bag tightly.
Yan Luoxi found his behavior odd and glanced at him a couple of times. Noticing her gaze, the man, clearly feeling guilty, blustered, "What are you staring at? Never seen a man before?"
