'When my turn came, I opened the door to the other room and found myself in another completely white room (furniture included). It seems to have something to do with not giving distractions to the mind, or something along those lines. In the middle of it there was a table with two chairs facing each other and a lamp pointing at a thick notebook. Mrs Shimura sat on the furthest one and pointed at the other one to make me sit. She then took out my paper from earlier and opened it in front of herself. Then I waited for her to finish reading.'
"Kishimoto, is this all""Yes, I'm sorry" I knew it, what I wrote wasn't enough. "Mmh. Ah, why did you just apologise? There's no need. I ask that question every time. What I asked you to do today was none other than the starting point. Only a genius would have made it with just this" Ah, she's right, I'm not the same as my family, obviously I wouldn't be able to do it. "Ah, wait, I didn't mean anything with it, just that everybody needs a little patience. Even many geniuses I met didn't do it on the first time" Oh, she's trying to encourage me, did my thoughts show on my face? I'm thankful, but I wasn't depressed, I was just being realistic. She seems to have misunderstood that. "Now, I want to ask you again, do you have something you are particularly good at? If not, did you ever find yourself in a situation during which you thought 'What just happened'?" I just said it. No. But wait, I feel like I might be forgetting something...
'Memories of when I was a child came back to me. I remembered hearing Chiyo-nee saying "Now everything is fine, don't worry and leave it all to me. I don't want you all to be in danger..." with tears in her eyes, probably hugging me, and my big brother on the floor of a room I didn't know, closing his eyes in pain and groaning. There was also a weird machine with a broken cable. I also felt weird, like the world was warping... or maybe flashing? Also at some point it looked like my brother had multiplied.'
"Haah haah haaaaaaah". What in the world was that? My heart is beating like crazy. Mrs Shimura seems pale too. She's widening her eyes. "What did you just think about?""Um, I feel like I remembered something. Uh, but I'd rather not talk about it""If that's what you want, then fine. But I'll tell you in advance. I already said so, but your family is absurdly powerful. Even more those of the last generation. To the point where you don't even wonder how much power they have, because whichever their power may be, they have absolute authority. If they ever fought among themselves, they would keep going without anybody coming out victorious, untill a truce, but everybody else would be in danger. Most people think that's amazing or straight up fear them, but this doesn't mean their power doesn't have downsides. They need to control themselves perfectly because they use their power as easily as breathing, maybe even subconsciously, but that doesn't make it any less devastating. Now, I didn't want to terrify you, but it's needed for you to be aware of this""Yes. Ah, a question. If it's like that, then how is it that most people don't know about these abilities?""It's simple. People's brains tend to refuse things that defy normal beliefs, so they tend to justify even these phenomenons. Well, it's true that these phenomenons can be explained scientifically, but not without certain knowledge that they'll have a hard time accepting, so they doubt what they see and explain it in simpler ways. There are some people who actually believe in what they're seeing, but they're considered crazy, though sometimes they really are, and there are also people who just ignore it. Ah, but we obviously also do our best to cover up. Now you can go. It's better if you relax right now. You're panting".
'I exited the room and reached my friends, who had already finished. Everybody seemed a bit absent-minded.'
"There you are!" Why does it sound like Shizu-chan has a somewhat worried voice? I'm sure that I'm not showing the anxiety I had a moment ago, so why? "What's up? Why do you sound so worried?" She's staring at me in disbelief. "Didn't you feel what just happened?"?"Just a moment ago everybody went pale, so I asked around and it seems that everybody felt like they vanished for a moment. I know it doesn't make sense, but didn't you feel it?"What? Is that why Mrs Shimura went pale too? "No, actually I almost had a panic attack, so maybe that had a bigger effect on me than whatever may have happened""Yeah, maybe you're right, wait, what?! What happened?!"
'I decided to tell her that the memories were just too blurred. I didn't want to make her worry too much, but I also promised to tell her everything concerning what might be happening, so I felt a bit guilty. Then the time to leave arrived. I thought about telling my mother about what had happened, so I took out my phone, but changed my mind thinking about Chiyo-nee's warning to not talk about these matters on devices. I then noticed that I had a notification. I opened that and it was another one of those anonymous emails.'
