"Natal treasure?" Gilgamel blinked in surprise, "Isn't that… the lifeline treasure of magical beasts?"
As someone who had done a lot of research into magical beasts, he understood what that term implied.
Every magical beast possessed a unique natal treasure—some were feathers, others might be scales, horns, or even bones. Though different in form, they shared one common trait: they were the embodiment of the beast's very essence. Detaching them from the body would cause severe backlash and great harm to the magical beast, weakening it drastically.
Of course, the damage wasn't permanent. Given time and proper rest, magical beasts could eventually recover their vitality. But still, it wasn't something done lightly.
