Chapter 31 - Chapter 30: Creo vs Athena Part 1

Creo was sleeping in his quarters when he suddenly had a dream where he came face to face with the god of kontrol, Modikos.

"Don't be alarmed, you're simply in my domain, Creator..." Modikos said calmly, his expression remained serious.

"So, what am I exactly doing here, Lord Modikos?" Creo asked, trying to assess the situation.

"Well, as one of the possessors of the Kontroligan Eyes, it was your instinct tha tled you hear, you are here in my realm to meditate, to seek solace, wisdom and guidance." Modikos said, placing his hand on Creo's shoulder with reassurance.

"I think I somewhat understand the situation, so where do I begin?" Creo said as he sat down on the ground, contemplating on what to do next.

"Well, for starters, you can use your Kontroligan Eyes to demonstrate your capabilities." Modikos replied.

"That wouldn't be a problem for you, right?" Modikos smirked, he wanted to see what Creo is truly capable of.

"Don't worry, I won't make you bored." Creo said, as he began to activate his Kontroligan Eyes.

"I'll be expecting that." Modikos scoffed.

As Creo began to utilize his Kontroligan Eyes, he also began to activate his Create ability to create a clone of himself, who is equally as strong as him, and used the clone as a practice dummy.

Creo began to accumulate mana flowing inside his body, he began to move forward and charged at his clone with a sword that he created.

The clone managed to dodge the attack, and began to charge towards Creo.

Creo began to utilize his Kontroligan Eyes as he created chains to bind the clone, restraining him from moving.

Creo looked at the clone with his eyes as he began to control the mind of the clone with just the power of his eyes.

"Splatter..." Creo said in a commanding tone, his eyes were locked at the clone's eyes.

Without a single thought, the clone's body began to explode within itself, with all of its internal organs and blood splattering around the area.

Modikos simply clapped at Creo's performance.

"Not bad...although I was quite disappointed by how fast you demonstrated your Kontroligan Eyes." Modikos sighed, he was clearly disappointed.

"No matter, if your upcoming battle with your dear friend can be entertaining, I might teach you a few more tricks up my sleeve..." Modikos chuckled.

"Well then, I'll be letting you off the hook now, you're going to need all the rest you will need for your upcoming fight..." Modikos said, as he stood up from the ground.

Creo simply nodded as he turned off his Kontroligan Eyes and woke up in his bed, feeling a little uneasy but tries to shrug it off and attempts to get some well-deserved rest.

Meanwhile Athena was taking a late night breather, she was by the balcony of the tower, staring at the stars of the night sky.

"Tomorrow's my upcoming fight with Creo, I must be careful with my attacks and strategies, he's unpredictable at best especially with the use of his Kontroligan Eyes..." Athena muttered to herself.

"The only chance I can have is to not make contact with his eyes, and as long as I have enough mana, then I can defeat him..." Athena said as she created fire from her palm.

"I wanna show him how strong I am, I'll make him see that I can keep up with him..." Athena said, pointing her hand at the moon.

She smiled, seeing the beauty of the moon, illuminating the bright sky, shining in her eyes much to her delight.

She sighed and headed towards her room as she thought about the events that happened today.

As she was walking down the hallways, she noticed Creo outside of his room, leaning by the wall, lost in his thoughts.

She decided to approach him, gently tapping on his shoulder and looked at him with comforting eyes.

"Hey pal, you looked like you were loss in your thoughts, mind sharing them with me?" Athena said, putting her hand on his cheek.

"I'm fine, Athena..." Creo said, putting down her hand, trying to hide his troubles.

Athena doesn't buy his answer and chased after him, grabbing a hold of his hand.

"Listen, I can tell you're lying to me, so why don't you talk to me about it?" Athena looked at her with a piercing gaze, she wants to know why he is keeping secrets from her.

She sighed. "Please, tell me about it. I want to help you, I'm not going to give up on you, remember that, ok?" She comforted him, caressing his cheek.

Creo sighed as he went inside his room, with Athena following him.

"Tell me what troubles you, maybe I could help you with them." She continued, gently brushing his hair.

He let out a sigh before he began to speak. "To be honest, I've been trying to hone my capabilities, and I feel like I've been going on this adventure without a certain goal in my mind."

Athena continues to listen before she makes her thoughts, giving him comfort to make it easier for him to release his inner thoughts.

"Honestly, it feels hard for me to balance my life as the King of Elderith and me as an overall human being, I have a big role to fill and I don't want to ruin their expectations..." Creo sighed.

Athena finally spoke and told him, holding his chin up to look at her. "Don't push yourself too much, it's just going to stress yourself and make you go insane, also dont worry about finding your goal, take all the time you need to think about it." She smiled, making Creo less worried.

"I guess you're right about that, I have been a little too worried, thanks for accompanying me throughout the years..." Creo sighed, feeling a bit at ease now.

"It's my pleasure Creo, go get some rest, you're going to need it, and besides, you and me are going to have a duel and I want to see you give your all.." She teased him, as she got up from his bed.

"And don't worry, I'm going to give my all as well..." Athena said, as she left him in his room to contemplate.

Creo thought of what she said and tried to gain some sleep, hoping for the best in their upcoming fight.

*The next day, in the morning*

"Well, I can't wait to see what Creo and Miss Athena will show us in their duel..." The Bookkeeper said enthusiastically.

"So who are we betting on who's going to win?" Zion Kishima laughed, excited to see their match.

"In my opinion, King Creo would win, obviously he has his Kontroligan Eyes as his trump card and not to mention, his Create ability is enough for the battle..." Crimson Thorn sighed, still tired from yesterday's training.

"Well, we will never know who would actually win between them, unless we saw it with our very own eyes." Zino smiled, approaching the group.

"Oh there you are Zino, by the way, where's Kalyndra and the guy that Creo and Athena brought along?" Crimson Thorn asked, waiting for his response.

"Well, they said they will follow us, then again do not worry too much, it's not like danger will arrive here..." Zino scoffed.

"It's best not to act so brash and reckless, this place can't be detected by any normal being, so let's not leave our guards down..." Crimson Thorn continued, his presence was commanding and he felt annoyed by Zino.

"Now, now...let's just focus on the event happening now, clear up your heads, the battle is about to begin..." The Bookkeeper continued.

Merlin arrives to the center and clears his voice before finally speaking. "Sorry for keeping you guys waiting, now the battle will begin shortly."

Merlin announced, pointing his hand in the left direction. "On the left side is a brave and courageous hero, when she enters the battlefield, the last thing her enemies will see are her burning flames and her cold icy presence-"

Merlin exclaimed. "Brace yourselves, as she makes her grand entrance, she is the one and only, the Light of Elderith herself, Athena Ardenvain!!!"

Athena smirked, muttering to herself. "Don't worry Creo, I'll show you a performance that won't disappoint you..."

"And on the right corner, is a man, a man with the power that can change the world, his presence is like a god, when he makes his move, the battle will surely be in his favor-" Merlin continued.

"He can create and control anything and make anything on a whim, he is none other than the Child of the Prophecy, the Creator, the King of Elderith, Creo Creatorius!!!" Merlin shouted.

"This will truly be a spectacular fight to behold!" Creo smirked.

"Well then, regarding this battle, I want to let you know that you are both allowed to go all out, this field is filled with mana to let you use your maximum output..." Merlin chuckled.

"Well then, without further adieu, let the battle begin." Merlin smiled.
