Their unique role, combined with their self-reproductive nature, along with the historical privileges endowed upon the Interstellar Warriors by the Empire during its establishment, and the reinforcement of their status through thousands of years of propaganda... All these elements together have formed their distinct political ecosystem within the Empire.
And this political ecosystem, summarized in Gu Hang's own concept, is the extraordinary warlord.
Gu Hang himself certainly does not wish for this. Such an important force as the Interstellar Warriors, he naturally wants to keep firmly under his control, without them being too independent outside, lest they become uncontrollable.
But in reality, the power possessed by the Interstellar Warriors is placed solidly here. Even within the Alliance, although Gu Hang has a particularly strong hold over them, it's difficult to avoid that they possess a special identity.
Just not as strong as when within the Empire.
