Several centuries ago, he was worshipped by a minor sect, and, for the first time, set his gaze upon this world.
Unfortunately, centuries of accumulation still weren't enough for him to descend—until he encountered a witch.
As a devil, his kind was rare in that they had no interest in human souls; instead, they were only interested in pain.
He takes pain as his power, pain as his foundation, able to absorb the pain of other creatures, including his own, as power.
Whenever there is pain he can absorb, no force can ever truly destroy him.
And unfortunately, in this world, the one thing most plentiful is pain.
The only difference is the quantity, more or less.
From the moment he descended, no matter where he is, he cannot be extinguished.
And he sees pain as a kind of blessing, so he considers himself different from those devils who deceitfully steal human souls.
