When I began ENTITY in the seventh grade, I planned for it to only cover volume 1 of the series - now here we are, two years later at chapter 400, comparing my starting point as a webnovel writer to the present. Looking back on the previous chapters for the second anniversary as well mixed me up a lot, so I have two announcements - since the two year anniversary came and went on the 23rd of May (3rd of June while I am writing this), along with chapter 400, not only will I remaster the ENTITY saga soon, but I will also create an exclusive special! Lila observed the unwelcoming presence emitting from her opponents influenced by their extensive glares. Her eyes bulged, recalling the screaming pain Advanced Senses inflicted upon her. "Fighting without Advanced Senses takes me back," she recaps. "I'll have to figure out their powers from battle experience."
A mischievous giggle escaped Julia's mouth, caressing her fiance's shoulder with her hands. "Don't worry, love! We're protected by the power of love - it wouldn't dare to divide our unbreakable bond!" Amir rolled his eyes, carefully moving Julia's tan-skinned hand. Engulfing his body in a flaming sensation, he pressed his fingers together and thrust his hands upward. "The Eclipse Ritual has already begun," his voice boomed. "We've already won; your arrogance will worsen the inevitable fate our oppositions will face."
Sparks of code appear across Lila's arms, emitting a weak illumination throughout the room. "Even without Advanced Senses, I can tell your body is filled to the brim with Pyron's firepower." Her palms merged together with a loud clap, uniting the narrow lines of code. "Coded Groupin-"
In perfect unison, Amir and Julia soared through the room with a loud blast. With a mighty leap into the air, their bubbling fists locked onto Lila's vulnerable face. Her pupils followed the plummeting fireballs with immense precision as she reached her arms outward. "Wings of Code!" From her back branched a pair of dark-green wings, lifting her away from the impact's range. Julia pulled Amir from the expanding dust, heaving him towards Lila with a strained grunt. As his roaring body soared through the air, the code present on Lila's body spread to her arms, cushioning her from Amir's brutal punch. She jumped over to the room's opposite wall, swiftly dodging Julia's right-hook. Airborne once again, Amir plummeted towards Lila, creating a hammer with his bulging arms. "I won't get an advantage with continuous defense! I need to step it up!" She slid under Julia's arm, weaving Amir's powerful attack. Noticing the couple's immediate approach, her fists divided, plunging into their burning chests. "Double-Coded Pierce!" The impact forced deep gags from Amir and Julia, pushing them away from Lila.
"For someone deeply outmatched, you're putting up a great fight," Amir admired. His eyes shifted towards Julia, scanning the persistent expression in her eyes. "I want to kill her," it screams.
Ignoring his words of praise, a surge of dark-green power erupted from Lila's body like a booming volcano. "Perfect unison, flawless choreography… To win this, I need to take advantage of their perfection!" Lila's ember of aura lifted Julia's gaze, plummeting deeper into the clutches of envious hatred. "He's not yours…" she whispered, pulling a metal dagger from her robe. Her red tattoo began to grow, serving as an enzyme to her growing malice. In ruthless, continuous motions, she forced the blade into her shoulder. "Amir…"
Amir's eyes bulged, shifting away from her bloody shoulder. "Julia, what the hell are you doing!? Have you lost your mind!?" The blade halted at the bloodsoaked wound's entrance. Her eyes rose towards Lila, who, just like Amir, wore a face of absolute horror. "What's your deal!? That wound will grow fatal if you don-"
"SHUT UP!" Julia screamed, throwing the dagger onto the ground. "Nobody will divide us… not even you!" A flaming crescent ignited, following her stumbling body. The blood slid down the wound's edges, perfectly tracing her bulging veins. "Nobody will divide me and Amir, you worthless piece of shit!"
Amir's fists clenched. "Julia, using that technique isn't beneficial!" His eyes raced towards Lila. "Kid, I know we're your opponents, but listen to me clearly - dodge that attack with EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT!" A gasp of shock escaped Lila's mouth, halted by her power surge's resumption. The code expanded across her skin, coating her body in flashing armor. "I can feel her hatred… what could possibly be behind it!?"
An enormous cluster of firepower built in her hands, molding a miniature whirlwind. "Chrome taught us this technique… I won't let it go to waste. Once this attack hits, there'll be NOTHING LEFT OF YOU!"
Lila formed a spear of code, securing its handle into her grasp. "Everything I've got…"
"FIRE MOON SECRET TECHNIQUE - ROARING FLAME OF ETERNAL HELL!" Through the dusty halls raged the aggressive flames, radiating an immense amount of firepower outward. Lila fearlessly lifted the flashing spear, pointing its tip towards the incoming ember. Across the room, uncontrollable trembles of fear dominated Amir's flame-coated body, accompanied by a series of horrified gasps. "THAT'S A SECRET TECHNIQUE, GIRL!" he shouted. "PLEASE, DODGE! TAKING THE OFFENSIVE WILL JUST KILL Y-" Julia's cackle of brutality echoes through the room, reflecting the daunting fireball with her dark-red pupils. Despite Amir's words of utter caution, the frequency of Lila's code strengthened. That was, until-
Through the wall of flame appeared a masculine individual, dispersing the ball of immense flame with a fierce kick. With a perfect landing on the ground, a gasp of shock erupted from Lila's mouth. "Wha…"
Shaking, Julia's eyes examined the unexpected interference. "You're… who… do you think… you are…"
A mischievous smirk grew across the figure's face. "Sorry I'm late to the party - I was in a little bit of a brawl down in Uraview's lower portions…" The dust blocking Julia's view settled, revealing a slightly-fatigued Kaelan. "You won't die on me, Lila - not now, and not ever!"
Volume 13, Chapter 70 - Lila vs. Amir and Julia
Kaelan examines Amir and Julia with a cautious gaze. He turned to his silent ally, noticing the streams of flashing code circulating her arms. "So, what's the plan?" Controlled ruptures of code lifted from Lila's fingertips, each trailed by a green-shaded glow. "I feel something emanating from them both - something different from Pyron's firepower…" The silence continued for a few more moments, eliminated by the roar of Julia's power surge. Behind her reinforced the flaming moon, its embers burning brighter than before. To her waist descended her left arm, clasping her hand open in a fierce motion. "We aren't finished here, girl." The surrounding air thinned, and an unsettling gag escaped Kaelan's throat. His head lifted, focusing his trembling eyes on Julia's stance. That exact moment, a lightbulb lit in Lila's head. "Advance, Kaelan."
Kaelan scoffed. "What the hell are you thinking!? Her power is climbing; you can't fight her alone!" Her palm filled with a white orb, its ominous power radiating through the room.
"Don't tell me…" Amir's eyes bulged, connecting the dots together. "She's really going to kill those two?"
"Our objective is to save the Grand Province!" Lila continued, her codes of spark strengthening. "If you don't move, Azul's death will be inevitable!" Molding a sword from the glowing orb, Julia's hateful glare locked onto Lila. Her scorching finger slid up the blade's tip, inflicting a thin, bloody cut across its surface. "If Pyron's power isn't enough to bring you down, then I'll cut you down."
"I'm Lila, a professional hunter of the Grand Province!" A circle of ascending code surrounded her body as she crossed her arms. "Hopefully Kaelan can get away…"
Amir's fists clenched, refusing to accept the building tension. "Her Spiritual Sword shines brighter than ever. However, its immense determination is overshadowed by Pyron's darkness…" Darting through the room with a mighty burst, Julia's spiritual blade sliced through the flashing code. Lila's fingers rushed, drawing another line of fluttering text. "Code Domain - Angel of Roaring Passion!" From the luminescent glow rose a coded angel, gliding through the room with open wings. Julia collided with the flashing angel, her sharp blade piercing through its immense layers of binary. "That circle surrounding her… could it be a power bank!?" Lila's fingers swing downward, drawing a large X with her fingers. "Flashing Ocean!"
From the X emerged a flowing wave, confronting Julia with a swift dip. Breaking through the coded sea, a successful bond formed between Pyron's flames and Julia's spirit. She leaps through the air and, in a fast and ruthless motion, wounds Lila's chest with a vertical slash. As her opponent stumbled towards the circle's end, Julia lunged with her shining blade. "That domain of yours is cool, but it won't stop me!"
"Red Code - Iron Spirit!"
The blade's metal halted, clanging against the boundary of Lila's domain. For a moment the surrounding ocean glows a vibrant red before fading into the air. With a focused grunt, Lila heaved upward, restabilizing her stance. "That was a close one…"
That exact moment, her eyes bulged. "You've finally made your decision."
Julia and Amir, side-by-side, jolted their swords upward. "I am still a part of this fight, for I am a mage of Fire Moon. I will fight alongside them until the very end, no matter what stands in my way!" Lila's eyes closed, amplifying the frequency of her rising code. "Fine then. I'll be your opponent - the one bound to stop you!"
