Chapter 276 - Trhama's Legacy

Prologue

"I'm sorry it had to end this way, Itama." a scrapped note read on the ground right next to Trhama's body. Itama's tears continued to flow from his eyes and mixed with the blood on the ground, and his resentment towards Aybara grew even more.

He then flipped the note over, noticing that there was more written for him - however, it was something Itama would know as Trhama's catchphrase.

"This world is screwed up to the brink - if we want to make a change, we're going to have to take action against the menacing monsters destroying our homes and the criminals roaming around our country. Just one group of people - one group can change the world, and we'll be that one group!"

However, the note continued on, Trhama's blood now smeared on the edges. "Live on, Itama - maybe someday we shall meet again." it concluded, officially ending the life of Trhama Black, Itama Kawasaki's best friend.

Sarina, Land Of Trila

The scene begins in the moonlit city of Sarina, known as the capital throughout the Trilan country. Despite the time, however, multiple people consisting of visitors and city residents continued to roam on this fateful night, not knowing that there was drama stirring up in Tyla.

Among the crowd was Champion, Itama, and Kevin, all wearing suspicious black clothes and walking across the city in perfect sync. "You okay, Itama?" Champion asked, giving him a slight nudge with his shoulder. "Ever since we got here, you haven't been acting yourself."

A drop of sweat slid down Itama's forehead, followed by a slight nod which was almost unnoticeable to the both of them. "Someone's here in the city - I'm having a weird feeling." he stated.

Shortly after the events of Hamila had been released to the world, multiple reactions sparked an uproar of chaos and freedom. Volume 11, Chapter 6 - Trhama's Legacy

Itama felt himself locked away inside his subconscious, a purple cloud engulfing his body entirely. The cloud faded slowly, dispersing right before his eyes and showing one of his long lost friends that he hadn't seen since he was 10 years old - Trhama Black.

"Is this an illusion..?" Itama muttered, trying to pinch himself and wake back up to reality. "Trhama can't be alive! I saw his body bleeding out back when I was 10 years old, he can't be alive!"

The purple cloud regenerated, becoming a hand and holding on to one of Itama's two swords. Flashbacks raced through his mind as he remembered first getting that exact sword, gifted to him by Trhama just 17 years ago. "Trhama said he was going to save the world alongside you…" a voice stated. "Yet he still died in front of you - how pitiful." it muttered.

Itama felt an overwhelming presence inside him multiplying by the second, causing him to take action by doing only one thing - running. His feet continued to touch the misty ground, his body slamming onto the ground and causing him to wake up back to reality, where Champion and Kevin were.

"Itama, you're definitely not okay!" Champion concluded, slapping him awake multiple times. "Don't fall asleep now, we still have a job to do!"

Itama's eyes minimized, noticing a weird presence in Kevin - he noticed that NULL was no longer in his body, but it was now substituted by his new awakened power. Another thing he noticed… Well, another thing he noticed was the presence of his deceased friend, Trhama Black. Itama slowly acknowledged this, his hands pressed against his head but slowly falling back down to his thigh. "I feel something weird." he muttered, putting his backpack back on and signaling both Champion and Kevin toward the door. "Don't worry, I'll be fine."
