"Qin Lin, have a seat." Beaming, Mr. Xu Sr. pulled Qin Lin down to sit. "I had Qianqian get in touch with you because I wanted to invite you over for a meal."
"We're all family here, there's no need for such formalities," Qin Lin replied to Mr. Xu Sr. with a smile. "A simple home-cooked meal is perfect."
"Good, good! We're family, after all!" Mr. Xu Sr.'s smile grew even wider. "In that case, you must stay for dinner tonight. Keep an old man like me company for a few drinks."
"Of course, no problem."
"It's already four-thirty in the afternoon, so the timing is perfect." After checking the time, Mr. Xu Sr. waved to Xu De. "Let's close up shop. We'll all head home, cook up a few dishes, and have a drink." Turning to Qianqian, he added, "Qianqian, let Qin Lin taste some of your signature dishes."
