Jiang Ce was startled by the sound.
"Don't worry," Huang Ke smiled. "These are just my father's security measures. Just a moment."
Then, Huang Ke pressed her fingerprint on a nearby scanner. With a successful scan, a soft BEEP sounded, and the alarm immediately fell silent.
"See? It's done."
Jiang Ce couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. This place is pretty high-tech.
Touching anything inside would trigger the alarm, and it would continue ringing unless silenced by a fingerprint scan. This was to be expected. After all, the entire floor was worth over a hundred million, so preventing theft was a top priority.
But just then, the alarm blared again.
Huang Ke froze, murmuring, "What's going on? Is the device broken?" She hurriedly pressed her fingerprint again, but the alarm didn't stop.
"It seems to be coming from downstairs," said Jiang Ce.
Huang Ke frowned, muttering, "Could it be those people causing trouble again?"
