Dr. Liu understood Jiang Ce's confusion. He smiled. "That's right. The world is advancing, and we must keep up with the times. The old ways are too conservative, and not many people want to attend anymore. We've modernized things to attract a younger crowd. Doesn't this feel more vibrant? Haha!"
Jiang Ce gave an awkward smile, though he had to admit Dr. Liu had a point. If the conference were overly academic and somber, few people would be willing to participate.
"Young Master Jiang, I need to discuss a few things with the core members of the association. Please, make yourself at home and mingle a bit!"
"Alright," Jiang Ce replied.
With that, Dr. Liu walked into the villa. The garden was already filled with people, most of them sitting in small groups with familiar faces. Since Jiang Ce didn't know anyone besides Dr. Liu, he found an empty corner and sat down alone.
