On the other side of the Earth—
The Arctic, the Fortress of Solitude...
A deafening roar shattered the silence of the snowy plains. The hard ice mountains split apart as a crimson laser shot into the sky, slicing through the mountains like a blade.
The entire world seemed to tremble. The rift's opening quickly expanded, and snow and ice surged down like waves, sweeping everything in its path with unstoppable force.
Some Parademons who were too slow to escape were immediately engulfed by the ice and snow, and the terrifying avalanche devoured everything before it, leaving nothing but chaos in its wake.
Amidst this majestic white landscape, a dark figure swiftly soared out from the avalanche and shot into the sky.
Batman, gripping the controls of his aircraft, had no time to catch his breath. He quickly adjusted course, diving to the right.
In the next instant, the crimson beam slammed into the aircraft's side, narrowly missing it.
Had it not been for Batman's quick reflexes, that attack would have torn him and the craft to pieces.
Looking down, Batman furrowed his brow.
On the snowy plains below, a massive, terrifying creature was growling loudly, its deafening roar causing the surrounding glaciers to tremble.
The monster was unaffected by the avalanche; even when buried, it quickly broke free from the snow, shaking it off as though nothing had happened.
The avalanche can't even trap this thing. Looks like it's the trump card Steppenwolf had prepared.
Narrowing his eyes, Batman's mind was far from calm.
He had thought that destroying the biological incubator would prevent the creature's birth, but the worst had come to pass.
Destroying the incubator hadn't stopped the creature; instead, it had triggered its premature emergence.
The good news was that the creature, being incompletely hatched, had no intelligence. It attacked indiscriminately, even targeting the Parademons as it rampaged.
Luckily, Batman was able to escape while the creature was distracted by the fight. In such a confined space, facing it head-on would be a death sentence.
After leaving the Fortress of Solitude, Batman detonated the pre-set bombs. Initially, he had planned for the avalanche to swallow both the Parademons and this creature.
If he could eliminate it, he wouldn't mind if the fortress was destroyed; he was confident he could rebuild one for Kara.
However, combining Kryptonian physiology with the blood of a New God had turned this creature into something far beyond ordinary. Its terrifying strength was more powerful than even Black Adam.
Another crimson heat vision shot toward him. Batman maneuvered the aircraft, narrowly dodging the attack.
Though the aircraft wasn't fast, its agility made it easy to avoid attacks, and its small profile gave Batman a better chance to evade and counter.
Surveying the now-destroyed terrain, Batman's face grew grim.
He knew that if this creature were to be transported to the battlefield at Wayne Manor or into human society, the consequences would be catastrophic.
While all the superheroes were focused on fighting Steppenwolf, the sudden appearance of such a mindless killer would not only threaten civilians but even heroes would be in danger.
Looking at the pager next to his aircraft, Batman realized he had no backup. Even calling in Robin, Aquagirl, and Cyborg would be futile.
A slight smile tugged at Batman's lips.
It doesn't matter. I never placed my hopes in others anyway.
The aircraft flew in a half-circle, and Batman redirected it, heading straight toward the creature's location.
In its berserk state, Doomsday was attacking everything around it. With Steppenwolf's blood coursing through it, the Parademons dared not resist.
As a biological weapon created by the New Gods, the Parademons were fully obedient to them, their minds incapable of rebellion.
Looking at the unstoppable terror ahead, Batman's emotions calmed.
Kryptonian power.
The memory of his first confrontation with the Kryptonian fleet flashed in his mind, the helplessness still vivid in his memory.
Wielding god-like power, spreading death and destruction across the land.
For five years, the alien invasion had haunted Batman's thoughts like a nightmare.
Every time he closed his eyes before sleep, Bruce Wayne saw a world engulfed in war, the people he loved, everything he had, vanishing in the cataclysm.
Tim's face, frozen in death, haunted him as if it were reality. Bruce Wayne took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.
"Gods aren't brave."
The image of Red Robin's lifeless face faded into the snarling visage of General Zod just before his death. Batman opened his eyes.
"Humans are brave!"
Batman pressed the switch with force, and small missiles on either side of the aircraft launched instantly.
The missiles, no larger than water bottles, sped through the sky, trailing white smoke as they rushed toward Doomsday.
As if sensing the danger, Doomsday abruptly turned its head. Rather than retreating, it charged directly at the missiles.
The missiles collided head-on with Doomsday, and an immense explosion of flames erupted immediately.
Then, a massive shadow tore through the black smoke, continuing its relentless course over the missiles and heading straight for the aircraft where Batman was.
At this distance, there was no time to evade. Without hesitation, Batman immediately turned and leaped out of the aircraft.
In the next moment, Doomsday, with terrifying force, collided directly with the aircraft, smashing it to pieces. A deafening roar echoed behind Batman, accompanied by a shockwave.
The rear of the craft rattled violently, blue flames bursting out, and the thrust from the explosion propelled Batman quickly toward the snowy plains below.
Since Batman was wearing the Iron Bat suit, the heavy armor prevented him from freely gliding with his cape. Therefore, he had to rely on his jetpack to assist his movement.
After gliding along the ground for some distance, realizing he had reached his limit, Batman flipped mid-air and crashed into the snow, tumbling several meters with the momentum.
After releasing the force, Batman had just steadied himself when the long-held sense of danger in his mind triggered an alarm.
He quickly rolled to the side, and the next moment, Doomsday's fist struck the ground where Batman had just been, creating a massive crater.
Quickly getting to his feet, still burdened by the heavy steel armor, Batman faced Doomsday, ready for battle.
Looking at the tiny creature in front of it, Doomsday let out a furious roar. A nauseating, foul stench filled the air, but Batman remained unfazed, his gaze fixed firmly on the creature.
Scarlet energy quickly gathered in Doomsday's eyes, and the devastating heat vision locked onto Batman.
The next moment, Doomsday stomped, attempting to fire the accumulated energy, intending to erase the creature before him.
However, the crimson energy didn't shoot out as expected. Instead, it spiraled inside Doomsday's eyes and rapidly retreated.
This unexpected turn of events left Doomsday stunned. With its underdeveloped brain, it couldn't understand why its normally infallible heat vision had failed.
"Realizing now, huh?" Batman's eyes flashed coldly.
It seemed that this creature didn't just lack a heart; it didn't have a brain either.
This time, old Bruce Wayne was prepared with all his gear, carrying with him a resolve to die. When he left the Batcave, he had no intention of returning.
Knowing that the Steppenwolf had occupied a Kryptonian warship, Batman had taken precautions to face the Kryptonians long before this encounter.
The destroyed aircraft that Doomsday had smashed into earlier had contained numerous compressed Kryptonite gas pumps. If those had been damaged, they would release vast amounts of Kryptonite smoke.
And for Doomsday, who had inherited Kryptonian physiology, this was an inherent weakness in his genes. However, Batman didn't rush to attack just because Doomsday had been weakened by the Kryptonite.
He knew well that the creature's body didn't only contain Kryptonian blood.
Sure enough, after realizing his heat vision no longer worked, Doomsday abandoned the energy attack and immediately swung a powerful punch toward Batman.
Though it had lost its Kryptonian enhancements, the fusion of New God blood still gave Doomsday physical strength far beyond that of any human.
Uncertain of the creature's current fighting ability, Batman didn't dare take any chances and swiftly retreated.
The next moment, the tremendous force collided with the snowy ground, and the shockwave engulfed Batman, who had retreated several steps.
The massive repulsion hit, and even Batman in his heavy armor was sent flying, crashing like a kite with its string cut, landing five meters away.
Grimacing, Batman climbed back up, his gaze on Doomsday full of seriousness.
Considering the concentrated Kryptonite smoke, even Zod would have trouble with it, but judging by the creature's condition, it still retained incredible strength.
This was bad.
Batman licked his dry lips, his aging body steeling itself for a desperate fight.
At that moment, a pleasant ringtone rang through his earpiece.
