"What?!" Zeus snapped.
"You heard me. If I let you be a part of my boys' lives, then there would be no need for a DNA test, right?" I repeated.
The rage building behind his eyes gave me the satisfaction I needed in this situation. He never knew how to hide his true colors from me.
I began to kiss Ariel passionately.
"All right, fine, I concede," Zeus surrendered.
Ariel and I began to laugh hysterically like babies.
"I suppose my offering to stay in Ireland with me is out of the question?" he asked.
"Not necessarily; we could always use it to escape the city," I smirked, "Keep it."
Ariel scurried off to work, and success reared its head when I could see the jealousy in Zeus's eyes.
"It doesn't bother you that I fuck Dimitiri and Reign, your son, but it bothers you when I give Ariel attention?" I teased.
Zeus turned away, grimacing at my cockiness, "You know why."
I shook my head from side to side, sauntering to him, "No, I don't think I do."
"I can fuck you better than the two of them combined," he thunderously looked down at me, the dominance in his voice growing with each word, "With her, you fuck her; she gives you something I never could."
"True," I agreed while walking down to the beach.
"That's all?" he asked, following after.
"Yup," I lied with a smile.
I began to run towards the beach, the moonlight guiding me to the beautiful dark water.
"What are you doing?" Zeus snapped, holding my wrist.
"Whatever I fucking please," I maniacally cackled, jerking my wrist free, "Feast your eyes on a product of your creation!"
"Ivy-"
"I am twisted, manipulative, angry, diabolical, seductive."
I motioned to my body while circling him, "You turned me into this creature you see before you. What do you think?"
I presented myself as if on sale, posing seductively.
"I didn't do this, Ivy-"
My annoyance caused me to flee with laughter, sprinting back towards the house. I heard Zeus on my heels, and my feet swept out from under me. I was now cradled in his arms like a princess. Now, he looked like a puppy dog. So predictable, pathetic.
"What?" I huffed as he walked onto the back porch of my home.
"If you think I'm to blame, then fine, blame me," he sighed.
The thunderous sky began to roar as the wind picked up around us. Small bursts of rain began to hit as we stood out back.
"You're only saying this to make you feel better," I grunted, "How about you say what you mean?!"
An intense clap of lightning echoed in the sky, followed by an earth-shaking thunderous roar of the night. The rain began to fall harder, and we were now drenched from head to toe. Droplets began falling from my lashes as the storm grew closer.
"I can't!" Zeus shouted.
I laughed once more, "You're beyond weak!"
"I can't live with the fact that I turned you into this!" Zeus confessed while shaking sense into me.
The rain fell harder and harder, accompanied by the lashing of the winds.
"Turned me into what?" I pressed.
"A monster like me," he coldly answered.
I smirked, stepping back from Zeus, "A monster like you?"
I waltzed back into my warm house, and Zeus followed suit.
"Honey, my monsters would make yours crawl under a bed and hide," I chuckled, "I'm the Devil in disguise."
"No," Zeus denied, "You're still that same sweet, innocent girl I met six years ago; I see her behind your eyes."
"And that's where she'll stay."
"Please," he begged while caressing my cheek, "Don't be like this, Ivy."
"Have a good night's sleep, Zeus," I smirked before walking into my room, locking the door behind me.
Ring. Ring. Ring.
I glanced down at my phone; Veronica had called twenty times.
"Veronica?" I answered.
"Ivy!" Veronica cried, "You need to get down to the bar now!"
"It's storming-"
"It's on fire!" she wept.
My heart sank in my chest, "W-what?"
"The bar, it's on fire, and the storm isn't putting it out!"
