Chapter 55 - Graduated & Legal: Updates & Plans

TLDR: I'm continuing to write the novel. In fact, I have already prepared a few (...okay maybe a whole volume with a 150 chapters, ideas, and new changes to the story that will most likely be bulk released when I plan to do so, HAHAHAHHAHA), however, I'm still unsure when I'd be able to actually release them due to the government ID taking time. As for why the government ID is important to process? It is to get the contract and have more readers read my novel!

Now for the proper talk...

Ehem, anyways, hello everyone. Yes, I know, what a very informal way of speaking. But can you blame me? This has been bugging my mind for a whole year, and I've been ruminating so much because of it.

Anyways, yes, hi, it's been a while...and I've honestly been withdrawing from writing this update because I still do not have a valid government ID that I can use for the sake of the contract. Also, to answer the question some of you might have, I just graduated today and got my medals (graduated with honors, heh)! But that's not important, let's go back on topic.

Now, here's the thing you would ask "don't you care much more about your readers? why force yourself to get the contract?", and yes, I wouldn't lie if I said I didn't write partly for the money...but what I want the most from that is really audience engagement which having a contract provides benefits for.

I'm not sure if things have changed drastically now, but from my observations in the past, non-contracted works barely get any notice, nor do they get proper audience engagement. I don't like that, especially since my primary goal is to share my thoughts and ideas with an audience that seeks them.

Which is why...wow, I'm shocked that somehow, people have taken notice of them even when I did NO prior advertising.

Thank you for that. It affirms my writings.

However, I will have to ask for my forgiveness for two crucial things: First, for the continued delay of this novel. I fear that the biggest contributor to that would be the government ID, but another contributing factor would be getting into a prestigious and hard medical college. Although even if that is the case, I won't make it an excuse since I do want to excel in both my dreams, and I will make sure that my sleepless nights will focus on self-progression for both my future career and my ability as a writer.

And second, being that this journey...was honestly something I didn't expect to take seriously. It was more to say that I never intended it in my mind to take the writing of this novel to the utmost seriousness.

I took it in a very complacent manner, but along the way, that has changed ever since I gained some of my adoring fans (I'LL NEVER FORGET YOU POLZEVATEL MY GOAT!!!).

Since then, the delaying of this novel and just stopping it entirely has haunted my mind to the point that it has honestly affected me at night when I sleep. I won't lie, life has been mundane with the knowledge that the words I'm writing in my papers for school are never necessarily needed in the way that it is appreciated.

So obviously, when I'm getting that ID and have found an appropriate time to publish this novel, then I will. It's a promise I've made, and it will be a promise kept.

However, please expect some (...actually no, many changes) in composition, pacing, and writing.

It's been weighing on my mind that this journey has never necessarily been serious, so I want to change that first and foremost.

I genuinely adore my characters, but I want to breathe life into them and show you the world of "Charming Beauties" that I see when I sleep and think of them when I'm haunted by the thought of my failures. As such, I will abolish the inconsistencies I notice in my writing and prepare a proper thought of plot and pacing so that it will fit what I have in mind.

So, in preparation for the future, I hope that you readers will not only give your praises, but also call me out when you feel that I'm lacking in certain areas. It will be things that I will work on and improve in the future, and I'm happy for any engagement (no matter positive or negative).

But again, as I've said, it will start with a change.

Have I started writing such changes?

Honestly? Nope...although if it helps, I did plan out an actual action plan for writing so I'm writing with intent instead of just intuition.

And now, if you're asking if I will be mad enough to actually complete these changes before my ID is registered...the answer is yes!

Rest assured, I will keep my promises and give everyone a nice journey to look forward to.

However, for the sake of future readers and people who are looking into the future for this novel, I will leave a warning for changes that people might not necessarily expect.

Plans & Changes:

- 1.) There will be 3 to 5 volumes (not so sure about the final number yet...) of the novel. It's relatively short, I'm keeping it that way since I feel like dragging the plot to oblivion is honestly boring, and I'd rather not sacrifice a good story for the sake of such.

- 2.) There will be more focus on action and worldbuilding in the later chapters of the novel. So yes, in a way, there is a genre switch. (Although, no, this does not mean that I'm taking out the slice of life aspect of the novel. It is built that way, and I will not take away its foundation.)

- 3.) Just because the genre is slice of life does not mean that there will be an avoidance of deaths and tragedy. My whole gut is telling me this is for the best since there will be necessary tragedies to occur for the sake of growth and just shaping this novel the way I see fit. So, if you're weak-hearted to such events, then I suggest you drop the novel! Not as a way of discouragement, but honestly because character attachment is unfortunately a cannon event and I do not want to give you guys any depression.

Anyways, that's really all for warnings...but before I sleep this off and hope for the best, I'll just end by saying I miss you guys so much (author-reader attachment is real, I fear...) and I'm so happy to have written in this format again (yeah...I totally did not forget how to write a chapter...HAHAHHAHA).

Hopefully, by the next time I send things again, it will be a notice of the mass dropping of chapters for the whole volume of this novel! There will be 150 chapters, so I look forward to doing so!

Thank you so much, guys, for checking on the update! I hope the ID gets processed fast because I'm honestly tweaking out rn...

Notice: If somehow words are repeated from the last update...super sorry for that, I did NOT check my last update at all and just wrote this with my gut... :)
