Chapter 8 - chapter 8

Eliana's gaze lingered on the exquisite gowns, her fingers tightening around Ryker's hand. "They're stunning," she breathed, her voice barely audible. The vampiress, resplendent in her pink dress that accentuated her curves and pale skin, glided towards them with an ethereal grace. Her expression transformed from a warm smile to one of surprise, her red lips parting in astonishment.

"Your Highness," she bowed, her voice laced with excitement. Her gaze shifted to Eliana, her eyes narrowing slightly as she took in her human features. A flicker of disdain crossed her face, betraying her distaste for the human species.

Ryker, oblivious to the tension between the two women, turned to face Lady Sabine, his eyes shining with enthusiasm. "Sabine, my dear, I need your expertise. I'm searching for the perfect gown to showcase my queen's beauty." He requested, his voice filled with excitement.

"Show us your finest gowns," Lady Sabine nodded, her gaze lingering on Eliana for a moment longer, her expression unreadable. Then, with a graceful nod, she turned her attention to Ryker.

"Of course, Your Highness. Follow me." She led them through the shop, her movements graceful and fluid. She stopped at a rack of dresses, her long fingers trailing over the fabric. "These are my finest creations, Your Highness. You will find something that suits your queen's... unique taste." She smiled, her eyes glinting with a hint of malice as she gazed at Eliana.

Eliana's eyes scanned the dresses, her mind racing with unease. She could feel Sabine's bore on her, like a palpable force. "My love," Ryker called out, his voice filled with affection. Eliana's heart skipped a beat as she turned to face him, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Ryker handed her a gown of shimmering silver, its fabric seeming to glow in the light. "Try it on," he urged, his eyes sparkling with excitement. Eliana hesitated, her eyes locked on Ryker, who only smirked, his eyes seeming to bore into her very soul, wondering her next move.

"Okay," her voice barely above a whisper, "I'll try it on."

As Eliana disappeared into the dressing room, Sabine's gaze moved from her to Ryker, who walked over to the chairs and made himself comfortable, waiting. Sabine seized the opportunity, calling out to her slave, Aurelia, while adjusting her dress to ensure ample cleavage was showing. "Warm up the blood tea and serve it," she instructed, her eyes fixed on Ryker, a sly smile spreading across her face.
