The formations within the divine hall were not very powerful overall, but they shared one defining trait: they had to be broken in the correct way.
If brute force was used, the formations would self destruct.
This self destruction was chained: as long as one array was broken with brute force, every formation in the entire divine hall would collapse.
Moreover, there was a fixed order to unraveling them.
They had to be solved in sequence.
If the sequence was disrupted, all the formations in the hall would likewise collapse together.
The formations of the entire divine hall were like a tangled ball of thread, a chaotic mess tied into countless dead knots.
Every knot had to be undone one by one, and the order could not be wrong.
In truth, the difficulty was extremely high.
Once a mistake was made, all the arrays would collapse at once.

Once activated, it was entirely possible for this force to surpass its limit and gain terrifying destructive power.
Standing outside the hall, with nowhere to retreat, Lin Moyu would only have one destination if things went wrong death and Dao destruction.
Breaking the formations here was like dancing along the edge of life and death.
His gaze was sharp as lightning as he read the structure and sequence of the formations and locked on to the first array.
A rune shot out and fell into the formation.
With a soft glow, the array naturally dissolved without triggering any reaction from the others, which meant that Lin Moyu's method was correct.
Once the array was undone, the point of light inside it flew into his body on its own.
Lin Moyu instantly felt clear headed and refreshed.
Power surged out from within him, coursed through his entire body in a flash, and then sank into his soul.
His physical body, which had already reached its absolute limit, rose by another sliver.
"So this is the reward?"
The reward for breaking the formation came as a pleasant surprise.
In Lin Moyu's eyes, nothing was better than strengthening his own foundation.
He had used his newborn talent before to push his body and soul to their utmost limits, reaching the peak of a Primal Chaos apex powerhouse with no further room to advance.
He had not expected that such a seemingly insignificant speck of light would allow his body and soul to improve again.

Lin Moyu felt that his next step had already inched forward, just a little.
Once every array in the hall had been broken, a great door appeared at the back of the hall.
Beyond it, a divine road manifested, leading upward into the void and clouds, with another divine hall at its end.
Lin Moyu stepped onto the divine road and began to climb.
There was no trial along the road as he had imagined; he proceeded with ease.
The ground below grew smaller and smaller as he ascended.
Halfway up, he looked back and saw that the hall he had passed through was now tiny.
His gaze swept farther into the distance
the battle between the system and the shadow was still raging.
The two were evenly matched, and their auras were far weaker than at the start; the fight had taken a huge toll on both.
As if noticing his gaze, they stopped simultaneously and looked toward him.
Lin Moyu could not sense any emotion from the system.
The system seemed devoid of emotion, so calm it did not resemble a living being at all.
To him, the system felt like a machine running strictly according to its programming if the rules said to do something, it did it, and it would never do anything unnecessary.
As for who had set those rules, there was no way for him to know.
The shadow's eyes were entirely different from the system's.
Within his gaze was greed, unwillingness, fury, killing intent everything.
Almost every kind of emotion could be felt in his eyes.
Lin Moyu had never before seen such a complex emotional mix.
Humans had seven emotions and six desires, yet at this moment it was as if all of them erupted at once and converged in a single being.
"This fellow is not far from madness."
"What is he?"
Lin Moyu was astonished.
No one could unleash all seven emotions and six desires at once without their Dao heart collapsing and their soul falling into madness.
Yet the shadow managed it.
He was not insane and was very clearly aware of what he wanted.
He wanted to stop everyone who tried to enter the divine hall.
He had even gone to enormous lengths to fabricate a fake divine hall and a fake divine road enough to fool even Lin Moyu at first.
To lull him into stepping into that hall, the shadow had even arranged a formation outside it to apply pressure.
Unfortunately, Lin Moyu had not taken the bait.
Had he truly entered that fake hall, even the system might not have been able to save him.
In the end, the shadow's only goal was to keep him out of the true divine hall.
"He seems to know very clearly that once I enter the divine hall, he will no longer be able to do anything to me."

Others might reach that point as well.

At the end of the first divine road, he saw the second divine hall, identical to the first.
Before entering, Lin Moyu turned back to look at the path he had taken and realized the road behind him had disappeared.
That meant he no longer had any way back.
He could only move forward, or remain trapped here until death.
In the distance, the system and the shadow had completely ceased fighting.
They seemed to understand that continuing was meaningless.
"From here on, it is all up to me."
Murmuring softly, Lin Moyu stepped into the second divine hall and again saw hundreds of formations.
Light points filled the space, each resting within an array, no different from the first hall.
The change lay in the power and level of the formations they were much stronger than in the first hall, and far harder to unravel.
Even so, they posed no real problem for Lin Moyu.
He quickly sorted out their structure and found the correct sequence, then began breaking them.
The points of light, carrying strange world force, entered his body as each array was undone.
His body and soul continued to grow stronger, and as his power rose, his speed at breaking formations only increased.
In less than half a day, every array in the second hall had been dismantled, and his body and soul were strengthened by yet another ten percent.
Passing through the second divine hall, Lin Moyu stepped onto the divine road toward the third.
