Chapter 4679: Little Meat, Many Dogs
When the Hidden Spirit Pearl shattered, their auras were instantly exposed to the void.
Lin Moyu laughed lightly. "That guy knows he can't deal with me, so he went after the Hidden Spirit Pearl instead. Not a bad move without the Hidden Spirit Pearl, as the World Enemy, I'll have to face endless pursuit."
The Chaos Gem snorted. "That guy is pretty shameless, pulling tricks from the shadows and trying to get others to do his dirty work."
Lin Moyu sighed, "Yeah. I wonder how many people he'll use my blade to kill."
Without the Hidden Spirit Pearl, Lin Moyu knew he'd have to face a lot of enemies.
In the eyes of almost everyone, he was their stepping stone if only they killed him, they'd gain boundless benefits.
But he wasn't someone so easily killed; those who tried would only die themselves.
Lin Moyu said nonchalantly, "Chaos, keep watch. Many spatial channels will start appearing. Those channels should link to the remnants of other worlds. These world remnants are valuable, especially ones from worlds above seven cycles. If you spot any, let me know immediately."
The Chaos Gem didn't ask why; since Lin Moyu was certain, it had to be important.
He replied, "Don't worry, Master. As soon as a spatial channel appears, I'll tell you at once."
Lin Moyu said, "We're in the Central Region now, let's head north. Before we find other spatial channels, there's a ready made one we can use."
Within the Wall of the World, there was a spatial channel leading to another world. Originally, Lin Moyu still had the Wall of the World's mark and could return at any time.
But now, affected by the world's rules, that mark was nearly useless; he would need to get outside the Wall of the World to open the gate.
As the World Enemy, many things in the Chaos Ancient Wasteland grew far more complicated.
A single command and Little Peng set out for the Northern Region.
At their speed, it would take at least ten years to reach the North Pole.
Originally, Lin Moyu could use the Central Region God Alliance's teleportation array, but now, if he went, conflict would be inevitable even as a Great Elder, it would not matter.
Too many people's minds had been twisted by the tribulation their Dao hearts altered!
He would have to fight from start to finish if he went.
Just ten days after setting out, a booming voice echoed through the void:
"The World Enemy has appeared in the Central Region! Kill him for the world's reward instantly become a Supreme!"
Lin Moyu frowned. The voice wasn't loud, but was carried by the world's rules, ringing clear in the soul of every being.
Not only the Central Region but every extreme region received the message.
Lin Moyu muttered, "That guy again."
Only a few figures in the world could do this.
He guessed it wasn't "Dao" it didn't fit his style; "Dao" preferred to kill directly.
It wasn't the Disaster Supreme either killing Lin Moyu wouldn't benefit him.
Certainly not Lin Mohan, which left only Hun Tian Huang Long.
The Chaos Gem asked curiously, "He's been hiding in the shadows for so long why show himself now?"
"Show himself?" Lin Moyu chuckled. "Not so simple who do you think Disaster Supreme would suspect?"
The Chaos Gem's eyes lit up. "Disaster Supreme will think 'Dao' did it, 'Dao' will think Disaster Supreme did it. They won't confront each other, so neither suspects there's a third party lurking."
Lin Moyu grinned. "That guy can't hide much longer. Disaster Supreme and 'Dao' will sense it sooner or later. He wants to deal with me so badly, he's getting reckless."
"It makes sense with the tribulation at full eruption, whoever kills me gets immense rewards, maybe a fast track to Supreme in ten steps."
"If he wants to be extra careful, he'll wait, let me kill even more, accumulate more hate with the world's rules, making the eventual reward even bigger."
Lin Moyu understood Hun Tian Huang Long's thinking: he was now a treasure chest the more he killed, the more treasures would accumulate, and whoever killed him would acquire more.
That's how the world's rules work, and Hun Tian Huang Long was taking full advantage a perfect fit for his desire to merge with the world itself.
But Lin Moyu wouldn't act as expected. Even without the Hidden Spirit Pearl, he still hid himself, not revealing his presence to the masses.
Upon discovering this, Hun Tian Huang Long couldn't wait any longer and issued a universal bounty directly through the world's rules.
This risked exposing him; if he did this, he must be desperate.
The more desperate he was, the calmer Lin Moyu became.
He continued to hide. Even without the Hidden Spirit Pearl, he had the Catastrophe Scepter and Balance Gem, plus arrays for concealment.
With these, he disguised himself completely, blending almost seamlessly into the void, becoming nearly invisible.
The Balance Gem balanced the auras of void and formations, making him even harder to detect better than even the Hidden Spirit Pearl.
Lin Moyu used this strategy to keep hiding: "If you want me to kill, I refuse."
The Chaos Gem said, "If things go as you expect, he'll be driven mad with anxiety."
Lin Moyu laughed, "Let him worry. The more anxious he gets, the likelier he is to slip up even expose himself outright. I'd like to see how 'Dao' and Disaster Supreme react when they find a third manipulator in the mix."
The Chaos Gem said, "That will be quite the show really want to see them turn on each other."
Lin Moyu replied, "Maybe it won't go that far, but they'll all become warier. After all, I'm just one prey, and there are three of them how will they divvy things up?"
Few targets, many hunters. For me, a juicy piece of meat, those three 'dogs' will end up fighting over me.
How exactly, Lin Moyu didn't care he just needed some more time.
Lin Mohan had just advanced and needed time to stabilize.
Along the way, Lin Moyu saw countless corpses creatures of every size and race scattered through the void.
Some were beings from the Ancient Wasteland, some were humans.
Most inhabitants of the Central Region were human; once, they stood united against outsiders.
Now, even the humans had split, tearing themselves apart.
You could tell at a glance whether a corpse was killed by ancient beings or by another human's artifact.
Lin Moyu observed with neither joy nor sorrow this was the tribulation: merciless and cruel.
So Little Peng carried him for a whole year, unseen and undetected the entire time.
Until, after a year, their path was suddenly shattered by ruptured space.
Then, over a hundred terrifying auras surged from the break flames rose, and divine phoenixes flew throughout the void.
Lin Moyu frowned. "Looks like the heavyweights finally couldn't resist."
