Chapter 4276 - 4276

Chapter 4276: A Dying Man's Words Are Kind

Countless tentacles tore through the void, slamming down on the Sky Dome War Array, cracking it in many places.

Fortunately, the array was there without it, the domain would have suffered calamity.

Lin Moyu's brows furrowed; he knew who had come.

It was the same creature that had injured the Lord of Fate earlier. The Lord of Fate had described endless whip shadows back then he must have been mistaken. They weren't whips, but tentacles.

It was a being from the chaos, not a cultivator.

The undead minions reacted first, unleashing a saturating volley into the void. The war array giants raised their shields, countless gigantic barriers manifesting atop the Sky Dome Array to block the assault.

The enemy's attacks were fierce tentacles fell like rain. Undead were smashed to bits in droves.

In terms of pure offense, this opponent was equal or superior to the Fifth Generation Heavenly Void Palace Master, and more critically, every strike carried immense chaos qi.

That qi became raging winds, killing all undead caught in their path.

"One wave hasn't died down before the next rises," Lin Moyu murmured.

"But you let's send you off first."

The sudden arrival of an enemy didn't change his mind. First the Palace Master would die, then he'd deal with this lurking interloper.

The Palace Master suddenly spoke: "When I'm gone, guard the domain."

The Five Domain World, after all, was his own creation; despite his earlier disregard, there was attachment there.

Lin Moyu replied, "A dying man's words are kind. Don't worry with me, the domain will only grow stronger."

The World Tree brought the Catastrophic Scepter smashing down the Palace Master was shattered to pieces, no longer reconstituting into smaller avatars.

The World Burning Fire flared, consuming the fragments. For it, this was a rare and valuable meal not to be wasted.

The Palace Master's soul faded within the flames. The one who had created the Five Domain World, after countless stolen years, could not escape his fate.

The World Burning Fire blazed hotter, empowered greatly by devouring a Chaos Realm soul.

But Lin Moyu sensed that for the fire to truly evolve, it needed to burn a domain.

Burning a domain would incur vast cause and effect the thought alone was staggering.

He thought of the Cause Seeking Ring perhaps it could circumvent karma. And the faith power of the infinite beings in his domain could offset the curses of slain life.

His eyes turned to the void. There, battle raged hotly.

The undead minions' attacks had failed to draw the foe out. Sweeping with Necromancer's Eye, Lin Moyu glimpsed a soul flame burning fiercely millions of li away.

"No wonder nothing's been hit," he realized. The minions had been aiming at the wrong place altogether the enemy was never there.

With a thought, he redirected them; in the next instant, overwhelming attacks filled the void in that direction.

Yet his frown deepened their volleys still struck the wrong area.

The minions' target zone didn't match his orders.

Abruptly, he understood those minions had Necromancer's Eyes too, so they should see the enemy. The fact they didn't meant their perceptions were being altered his commands, by the time they registered, were being shifted.

In other words, their minds were being interfered with.

Chaos winds blew everywhere outside the domain, scouring vast reaches of void. In them, the undead shattered and died, unable to resist.

"This is troublesome," Lin Moyu thought. The enemy kept its distance, and he couldn't land a hit. At this rate, time would kill him.

The Sky Dome Array could not hold forever; one day it would break.

For them to pierce the Soul Eater Spirit Emperor's defenses and arrive here, their goal must be the domain.

If he couldn't pinpoint them he'd get close.

With a thought, Lin Moyu dove into the Ferry of Tribulation and surged ahead. Using the vessel, he could close in and then think of the next move.

The World Tree came aboard too, still holding the Catastrophic Scepter his greatest current asset.

The Ferry shot through space, crossing millions of li in a blink to reach the supposed location.

But the soul flame he'd seen a moment before was gone appearing somewhere else.

He changed course again, but each time he neared, it shifted.

After several repetitions, he knew something was wrong.

The soul flame he saw wasn't real his senses were under the enemy's sway as well.

Chaos qi was seeping in through the Ferry's weaknesses, turning into a breeze within.

That wind, carrying incomprehensible energy, warped his sight, hearing, even his soul.

Chaotic lifeforms were even trickier than he'd imagined not just strong in offense, but possessed of maddening, insidious methods.

The Ferry returned to the Sky Dome Array. Since he couldn't find the target, he'd force it out another way.

Bone Hell wouldn't help against a Chaos Realm foe; the chaos qi nullified its locking ability.

Now, the only way to flush it out was sheer saturation a map wide bombardment.

With a thought, Lin Moyu unleashed every undead.

Two trillion minions attacked in all directions at once.

Seas of fire, thunderclouds, tsunamis, storms of blades swept the void. Tens of millions of li lay under indiscriminate assault.

Lin Moyu watched, scanning for anomalies. With Necromancer's Eye compromised, only his human eyes were trustworthy.

At last one area showed something off. Attacks there warped subtly on impact.

It was faint, but he caught it. "There you are."

A chaotic swordgrass appeared in his hand. "Cut!"

It flared ten streaks of sword qi screamed forth.

The chaos winds ceased instantly, the Dao was severed, and the chaos qi was ripped apart.

Compared to that sword qi, the undeads' attacks were insignificant.

It was a strike at the strength of a small ascension Chaos Realm terrifying, nearly equal to the Palace Master at his peak.

Even if it didn't wound the target, it would flush them out.

The sword tore a great rift in the void then several tentacles fell from it, spraying blood into space.

"Hit!"

The realization had barely formed when a shriek ripped into his soul.

It was like a heavy blow to the head his mind buzzed, on the brink of blankness.

Forcing his Dao Heart to hold, he snapped back and saw a monstrous bird bursting from the rift.

It looked like a giant eagle, but its tail was a mass of octopus like tentacles thousands of them. Several were severed the ones his sword cut.

Its wounds were knitting; new tentacles sprouted.

It screamed again, in rage. Undead minions died en masse under its cry.

Lin Moyu felt a chill this thing might be harder to deal with than the Palace Master. A headache began.

Then a dragon's roar split the field, and blinding gold light shattered the void as it descended!
