Cyan took a step forward. His chest tightened. He didn't understand but at that point he wanted to drag her away and make her stop crying for the wrong person.
"What a self-destructive woman!"
Cyan mumbled furiously.
"That woman is an idiot... Is she so stupid and dunce?! Or am I the one being weird for not understanding why she's doing this at all?" Cyan gritted through his teeth, looking very displeased.
But what was making him furious anyway? Clearly, that woman had nothing to do with him at all. So then, why was her being angry for no reason?
Cyan snarled. 'It's all because of that foolish female!'
She should be running. Escaping.
Just what kind of fool clings to a dead man in the middle of a beast horde?
But instead, she wept.
For her captor. For a feral that should've been hated by females. And all for his brother of all people.
Something in Cyan's chest—something he'd buried long ago—twitched.
If it were him...
His eyes widened.
If it were him, what?
