The Magic in the Desert
I was still walking through the hot desert, holding the golden box in my hands. My fight with the giant snake had left me tired, but I felt proud and strong. The sun was starting to go down, and the sky was turning orange and pink. It was really pretty.
Suddenly, I heard someone calling my name.
"Hey! Hey, wait for me!" a voice shouted.
I turned around and saw my best friend, Mia, running toward me. She had a backpack and a water bottle. Her face was red from the heat, but she was smiling.
"Mia!" I said. "What are you doing here?"
"I followed your footprints," she said. "I heard you were going after the treasure, and I didn't want you to go alone."
I was so happy to see her. Having a friend with me made the desert feel less scary.
"Good thing you came," I said. "You won't believe what happened. I fought a giant anaconda snake!"
Her eyes got really big. "No way! What did you do?"
