Rias and the others looked up and saw someone floating in the sky with the moon behind him, positioned so perfectly it was obvious he had set it up just to look cool.
"Sirzechs Lucifer... what a nostalgic name," said a Fallen Angel with ten black wings spread wide behind him. He looked like a young man dressed in a black robe covered in detailed accessories. He smirked when he spotted Rias and said, "This is our first time meeting, daughter of the house of Gremory. The crimson hair is beautiful. It reminds me of your brother, and I hate him so much it makes me want to vomit."
"Raynare, Kalawarna," he said while turning his attention to the two Fallen Angels. His stare carried nothing but disgust. "To think that you would mingle with Devils. It seems you are no longer worthy of living."
He was the one who pulled the strings earlier when he sent Raynare and the others to this town. It had been a casual move to test the Devils here, but he never expected the pawns he sent to betray him and betray Grigori as well by siding with the Devils.
"Kokabiel-sama..." Raynare stood with a serious face as she stared at the leader she once revered and respected.
"Hey! Cunt! I'll have you stop right there," Yusuke said as he landed on the ground in front of the two women, meeting Kokabiel head-on. "Go ahead and try it if you have a death wish."
He could forgive someone for wronging him, but he wouldn't forgive anyone who tried to hurt the people close to him, especially his women. This bastard had just announced he wanted to kill two of his busty Gouderes. At that point, he was basically begging to get bitch slapped.
"Yusuke-sama~!" Raynare and Kalawarna's serious faces melted into blissful expressions as their eyes turned into hearts, both of them calling his name in a sweet chorus.
"No horny, not now," Yusuke said while raising his hand to stop them from throwing themselves at him. He groaned inside, thinking, 'Damn, they just ruined my cool moment.'
[How childish!] the system scoffed at him.
"Kokabiel," Rias said, her face unchanged even as the two sluts flirted with her Yusuke. She clenched her fist while staring up at the man in the air. "You finally decided to show your stupid face." Spending so much time with Yusuke had clearly influenced her choice of words.
"If you have something to discuss with my brother, coming to me is pointless. The house of Gremory is the closest to the Maou, and at the same time the furthest from it."
"Hahaha!" Kokabiel ignored Yusuke entirely. He threw his head back and laughed, then looked down with a cruel smile and said, "I wouldn't do something as stupid as talking with a Maou. If I rape and kill his little sister, Sirzechs' anger will be directed at me. That actually sounds pretty good."
"So what is your motive for contacting me?" Rias glared at Kokabiel with pure disdain.
Kokabiel's smile twisted as he answered her with obvious delight. "I will be rampaging in this town using your base, Kuoh Academy, as the starting point. Sirzechs will show up for that, right?"
Everyone, including Yusuke, froze in shock. Was this guy actually crazy?
Rias felt her blood pressure rising. Why were so many problems piling up in her territory? She glared at him and said, "If you do something like that, the war between God, Fallen Angels, and Devils will start again, you know?"
Kokabiel's wings flapped as he flew higher, placing himself so the moon framed him perfectly. He declared, "That's what I'm wishing for. I thought Michael would start a war if I stole the Excalibur. But all he sent were grunt Exorcists and two Holy Sword wielders. It's boring. I'm really bored indeed. That's why I'm going to rampage at Sirzech's sister's base. See? It looks fun, right?"
"Tsk! Crazy bastard!" Rias clicked her tongue, her face twisting with annoyance and disgust.
The Fallen Angel leader didn't seem offended. Instead, he laughed with joy. "Yes, I am crazy! I am bored, completely losing my mind from boredom! Ever since the war between the three factions ended, I've been this bored. Azazel and Shemhazai weren't exactly eager to start the next war."
He glanced toward Issei and Saji. "Then they started collecting boring things like Sacred Gears and doing weird research. Stuff like that won't do us any good! Well… It's a different story if it's a 'Boosted Gear,' like the brat over there has. But it's not something you find easily."
"!!!" Both Saji and Issei felt an overwhelming pressure bearing down on them, making them tremble like dildos.
"Anyways, today I am going to start a war. The school where the little sisters of both Maous are attending looks like the perfect place to turn into a battlefield." Kokabiel spread his ten black wings and flew toward the school. "Hahaha. Let's have a war, little sister of Sirzechs Lucifer, Rias Gremory."
Freed burst into laughter. "Hyahahaha. Isn't my boss the best? His craziness is top-tier. I'm all fired up too. He even gives me treats like this."
Waiving his swords, he activated the Excalibur Transparency and vanished from sight.
These two had been talking shit for far too long, even threatening his women. That bastard had the nerve to talk about raping Rias. How could Yusuke possibly let them walk away just like that?
Kokabiel's strength was at the Ultimate-Class, but the pressure Yusuke sensed from him was still far weaker than Grayfia's. Yusuke stretched out his hand in a grabbing motion, but Sona suddenly stopped him. "Yusuke, don't!"
"Why?" Yusuke asked, glancing at her.
"This is our problem. Please let us handle it," Sona said as she stepped forward and held his outstretched hand. "We are not weak. The others and I want to prove that we are strong… strong enough to help you."
Over the past months, since becoming Yusuke's women, they had trained diligently. Their strength had grown significantly, especially after receiving the Master's Mercy and Master's Blessing.
"We have been training for so long. It is time to show the results of our hard work. Killing a Fallen Angel recorded in the Bible seems like a good start," Murayama said while holding her sword, a wide smile on her face. Yusuke could sense real coldness and bloodthirst in that smile, and for some sick and twisted reason, he found her looking hot like that.
"Hmm. We will pluck that damn crow's feathers and break his bones. I couldn't roast that stupid chicken last time, so this time I will roast this bastard!" Aika threw a fist into the air that burst with fire as she spoke excitedly. Then, as if realizing something, she turned to Raynare, Kalawarna, and Akeno. "Sorry, I didn't mean you guys."
"No offense taken," the trio replied with weary smiles. Everyone was already used to her quirkiness.
'What the fuck did she just say?' The only one who did not treat Aika's words as harmless noise was the silent Riser. The guy shuddered and took a step back. 'Women are scary. The women around that guy are even scarier. I need to leave this town fast and never get involved with them again.'
"Master, are you okay?" Saji asked, noticing his master's pale face and the sweat dripping from his forehead.
"N-nothing! I'm okay!" Riser forced a smile and shook his head, speaking in panic.
Yusuke looked at his women, all of them radiating intense battle intent, and asked, "Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Yes," they all answered at the same time. Akeno then gave him a playful wink and said, "Besides, even if we fail, you'll be there to save us, right?"
"Of course!" Yusuke answered without hesitation.
As soon as he finished speaking, the girls around him blushed and began whispering in low voices, letting out some creepy little laughs.
"Being saved by Yusuke… thinking about it, it sounds so romantic. Should I deliberately get injured?"
"Being saved by my prince charming is like a fairy tale, gehehehe! And I could even have Yu-sama spank me for not fighting properly. This is the best!"
Yusuke's expression darkened when he heard the last one. Aika was truly a hopeless, perverted masochist.
"Darling!"
"Yu!"
"You'll save us too if we fall into danger, right?!" Irina and Xenovia asked, their expressions nervous. The hands holding their swords were tightly clenched, betraying just how tense they were.
"Obviously," Yusuke said with a light smile, patting their head as he answered.
"Darling! / Yu!" The two melted under his hands and tried to throw themselves at him, but the other girls stopped them.
"What are you doing? I want to hold my darling!"
"That's not the time. If you want to touch Yusuke, do it after the fight!"
"Devils! You are Devils!"
"No shit! Of course we are!"
A few meters away, Rias and Koneko watched the scene with cold expressions. Rias gritted her teeth as the number of women surrounding Yusuke grew once again.
"Buchou!" Kiba walked over slowly, his steps hesitant. With his head lowered, he stammered, "Buchou… I… I…"
"Koneko, let's go," Rias said, but she only spared Kiba a single glance before turning to leave. If it had been in the past, she might have forgiven him after a light punishment, but right now, she was far too emotionally unstable to forgive him rationally or tolerantly.
"Buchou…" Watching her walk away, Kiba felt as if a lightning bolt had struck him. He froze in place, eyes wide open.
"Everyone, let's go kill this bastard!" Now that Rias had already left, Sona wasted no time. A teleportation magic circle rose beneath their feet. "Today, we will kill a Fallen Angel. Tomorrow we will make this world bend to our man's knees." The magic circle flashed, and all the girls vanished, reappearing inside the Student Council room.
Yusuke stood frozen in place, eyes wide, muttering, "I must be hearing things wrong. I think I just heard something terrifying."
[Bitch please, what do you expect from a group of Yandere gathered together?]
...
A magical dome spread around Kuoh Academy and covered the entire area. If Kokabiel decided to fight seriously, he could easily erase the entire town from existence, so to let the girls fight without any burden, Yusuke erected a barrier.
During the past month, Yusuke not only honed his skills but also devoted most of his attention to learning how to utilize Magic and Demonic Power.
Rias and Koneko appeared at the ORC and headed to where Kokabiel and his goons were. Rias was not overly worried about his threat because she knew Grayfia would step in if things went out of control, and Yusuke was also around.
If it were the old her, she would not want to involve Grayfia or Sirzechs because she was too proud to rely on her family, and she did not want to cause her brother any trouble. However, the her right now prioritizes Yusuke over everything. She was close to finishing her plans and getting Yusuke all for herself, and she refused to let anything ruin that.
Not to mention, strictly speaking, this Kokabiel guy was here to cause trouble for her brother. It made perfect sense that he should be the one to deal with Kokabiel, not Rias.
Right after she reached the middle of the school field, she saw three swords floating in the air and releasing intense light. With the swords at the center, a suspicious-looking magic circle covered the entire field. An old man stood in the middle of that magic circle, and it was Valper Galilei.
"What is that?" Koneko stared at the scene and spoke in her quiet voice.
Valper Galilei turned toward her and answered with a proud tone, "I am going to merge the three Excaliburs into one."
"Fusing the Excaliburs?!" The shout came just as Sona, Tsubaki, Raynare, Kalawarna, Murayama, Aika, Akeno, Xenovia, Irina, and Asia rushed in. They had teleported to the Student Council room first before hurrying over.
Xenovia and Irina glared at Valper Galilei, who stood in the middle of the magic circle.
"Valper. How much longer will it take for the Excaliburs to merge?" A voice echoed from above, and when everyone looked up, they saw Kokabiel with the moon behind him. He sat on a chair in the sky, looking down on them while confidently crossing his legs.
"It won't even take five minutes, Kokabiel," the old man replied.
"Is that so. I will leave it to you then." Kokabiel turned his gaze to Sona and Rias and said, "Sisters of the Maous, you came. Did you call Serafall or Sirzechs?"
"In any case, for the next five minutes, I'll allow you all to entertain me."
He was a war veteran who had survived the Great War, the one that even claimed the lives of the Great Maous and God. He had every right to look down on a bunch of stupid teen kids.
"Oh, you were talking to me?" Sona tilted her head as if surprised, then spoke in an apologetic tone, "Sorry, I was thinking of a way to cleanse my ears of your disgusting voice, so I couldn't hear you."
"..." Kokabiel's grin twitched slightly.
"Ouch! I never knew Kaichou was this good with her mouth!" On the far end, next to Yusuke, Sona's Bishop, Reya Kusaka, exclaimed in shock.
The Sona they knew was a stern, dignified yet gentle woman, extremely smart and efficient in her work. Seeing her talk back to Kokabiel like that was completely unexpected for her peerage, who were used to her strict and unforgiving personality.
Reya Kusaka was a slim girl with long brown hair that ended in two braids and matching brown eyes. She was soft-spoken and polite, and one of the many girls who were in love with Kiba.
'Oh, you'll be surprised just how good her mouth is,' Yusuke smirked involuntarily upon hearing her words.
"Kaichou changed and Fukukaichou changed a lot recently, fufufu, is this the power of love?" The voice belonged to Tomoe Meguri, Sona's Knight. She was a lively and cheerful girl from the Meguri Clan, a family of exorcists who made exorcising demons their way of life.
She was a beautiful girl with shoulder-length reddish-brown hair tied into twintails and brown eyes, and she also had a slight crush on Kiba.
The other member of Sona's peerage was a Bishop, Momo Hanakai, a beautiful girl with white hair and blue-green eyes. She knew about the Sitri Clan because her father worked in one of their companies, and she later joined Sona's peerage.
And yes, she also had feelings for Kiba.
Lastly, there was Sona's Rook, Tsubasa Yura, a tall beauty with blue hair and blue eyes. She had the look of a classic tomboy, even more so than the thick and cute Xenovia.
When she was young, she had the ability to see supernatural beings and touch them, often engaging in fights with them. Later, because of this special talent, Sona reincarnated her as a Devil.
She was also the only member of the peerage who did not have feelings for Kiba.
Aside from Sona's Pawn, Aika, and her Knight, Murayama, the other peerage members were far too weak to take part in this dangerous battle. She ordered them to stay close to Yusuke and follow his commands.
Swoosh!
BOOMM!
Without any warning, a gigantic spear of light shot toward Sona and the women around her. When it struck, a massive pillar of light erupted, spreading over thirty meters in diameter and soaring more than half a kilometer into the sky!
"It seems that Serafall is not only trash as a Maou, but also useless at educating her little sister," Kokabiel said in a bored tone. Though he looked unconcerned, it was clear that Sona's words had managed to rile him.
Swoosh!
Suddenly, an extremely fast purple light shot from behind him, aiming straight for his back. It came with unexpected speed.
Puff!
Countless black feathers scattered through the air as Murayama landed on the ground, staring at Kokabiel with a smirk and licking her blood-red lips. "Next time, it won't miss."
Kokabiel, after all, was a war veteran. Even though the attack was sudden, he managed to evade it at the last moment, causing Murayama to miss and only graze his wings, sending feathers scattering everywhere.
Murayama's Amethyst Night was an incredibly sharp sword that also boosted her speed and strength, making her movements lightning fast.
"Sacred Gears? God's toys are sure annoying," Kokabiel said, staring at Murayama with cold eyes.
BOOMM! BOOMM! BOOMM!!
None of the women was interested in talking to a man who was not Yusuke. Three columns of fire shot toward him from different directions.
Kokabiel quickly flapped his wings, soaring higher to dodge. He flew past the first pillar and twisted his body to barely evade the second. But as he moved past it, the third pillar was already in front of him. He rapidly conjured multiple magic circles to block it.
A massive explosion engulfed him, sending a huge fireball soaring into the sky.
The three who had attacked were Aika, Kalawarna, and Raynare. They often trained their Fire Dragon Slayer Magic in conjunction with Observation Haki, learning how to predict their opponent's movements and direct their attacks toward where their target would move.
Right now, all the girls who possess Observation Haki and Fire Dragon Slayer Magic have leveled up their skills to Level 3. They had reached Level 2 through their own hard work and achieved Level 3 thanks to Yusuke's Master's Blessing.
BOOMM! BOOMM!!
Before the fireball in the sky could fade, another fire column shot out, exploding on contact and causing the massive fireball to grow even larger. The intense heat and shockwaves spread in all directions, making the trees sway violently and shattering the windows' glass.
The one who had launched the attack was Tsubaki.
"Damn it! These women are strong! I need to work harder, or I won't be able to be with Darling!" Irina and Xenovia, who had been running toward Valper, came to a halt. The former spoke with a frustrated tone.
Rumble! Rumble!
Not giving the leader of the fallen angels a chance, more attacks rained down on him. This time, a thick lightning bolt descended from the sky.
The bolt was incredibly dense and surrounded by a radiant white Holy Power.
This was Akeno's attack, Holy Lightning, a power she inherited from her father, whom she hated deeply. She also used Telekinesis to condense the Holy Lightning, making it thicker and far more destructive.
Koneko wasn't the only one trying to overcome her past and mental scars for Yusuke. Akeno was willing to go to any length as well; her pride, pain, and sorrow meant nothing compared to her love and obsession for him.
Since the day she had nearly died in his arms and saw him crying for her, she swore never to let him feel that kind of pain again. She vowed to use everything at her disposal to create a beautiful world for him.
So even though she had once hated and despised the blood in her veins, she was now willing to embrace the power she had once loathed in order to become stronger.
It was somewhat ironic that most of Rias's peerage members were clearly strong, yet for different reasons, they were unwilling to unleash their full power.
The explosion dispersed the fireball, revealing Kokabiel's form. His clothes were charred, exposing his burned upper body, and his long, loosely hanging hair had also been singed by the fire and lightning. Aside from that, he did not appear to be seriously injured.
"Holy Lightning, Baraqiel's daughter, heh... how nostalgic. But compared to him, you are still weak! This is interesting! You're much stronger than I expected, and you'll give me even more fun than I anticipated! Hahaha!" Despite his messy appearance, Kokabiel showed no anger. On the contrary, he laughed loudly, spreading his arms and throwing his head back.
Swoosh!
A purple light flashed past him, grazing his cheek, as Murayama's disgusted voice rang out, "Shut the fuck up. Did anyone ever tell you that your voice is annoying?"
"Yes, they did, but all of them died soon after," Kokabiel said calmly, wiping the blood trailing down his cheek. "Since you've made your attacks, it's time for me to make my move, right?"
...
Rumble!
"Fufufu! Old relic, who said that we were finished attacking?"
Already changed into her Miko clothes, Akeno licked the tip of her finger with a sadistic smile. She lifted her hand toward the sky, and clouds gathered above Kokabiel while lightning poured down on him without stopping.
Thick columns of Holy Lightning crashed down from the sky one after another. Kokabiel grinned as he raised his hand high, summoning three magic circles to block her attacks.
Swoosh!
"Keep attacking and pressuring him, do not give him the opportunity to fight back!"
Sona stood behind them, directing the fight and giving orders. At the same time, she used her Telekinesis to tug at his many wings whenever she could, yanking his body downward to restrict his movements and make it harder for him to dodge the other women's attacks.
Kalawarna and Raynare flew through the air, three pairs of wings beating behind their backs. During this period of training, as their power increased, their wings had risen from a single pair that marked them as low-level fallen angels to a full six pairs.
"Kokabiel-sama, for the sake of our man, I will have to ask you to go and die!"
Raynare opened her mouth wide and inhaled deeply. Her flat stomach expanded, and a magic circle appeared in front of her mouth as she unleashed a far thicker and more powerful breath of fire. "Fire Dragon's Roar!!!"
The massive torrent of flames exploded forward, so hot that the air around it warped and burned as it sped toward Kokabiel.
"It would be bad if I got hit by this one!"
Kokabiel frowned as he saw the torrent of fire racing toward him. He tried to dodge desperately, but suddenly two distinct powers yanked him back, slowing his movements and making them sluggish. "Serafall's sister, Baraqiel's daughter! How annoying!"
He roared loudly as more than ten magic circles appeared before him, straining to stop the Fire Dragon's Roar.
"Not so fast, old bastard! Take my Fire Dragon's Roar as well!"
Aika shouted, adopting the same stance as Raynare. Soon, a pink-colored Fire Dragon's Roar exploded from her mouth, hurtling toward him, and Kalawarna followed suit, unleashing her own.
Given that Kokabiel was individually stronger than any of them, the girls worked together to overwhelm him and prevent him from attacking at full strength. If he managed that, it would be deadly for any of them. None of them were dumb enough to just sit there, waiting for their partner to finish an attack before taking their turn.
BOOOMMM! BOOOMMM!! BOOOMMM!!
Explosion after explosion erupted in succession, enveloping Kokabiel in an enormous fireball far larger than the previous one.
"Shit! Women are scary, really scary!"
Riser, standing not far from Yusuke, felt his legs go weak. He even felt the urge to pee. These women were insanely strong! If any one of them decided to fight him, he would be in a whole new world of pain!
"Yeah, they are scary, but also cute, don't you think?"
Yusuke glanced at him with a proud smile. He felt a surge of happiness seeing how strong Aika and the others had become.
"Ehhh! Don't bust my nuts! Please don't bust my nuts!!"
The moment Riser met Yusuke's gaze, his PTSD flared. He collapsed onto his butt and started crawling backward, shouting hysterically, snot and tears streaming down his face.
"What's wrong with him?"
Yusuke was taken aback by Riser's exaggerated reaction. He had only been trying to make small talk. Somehow, he felt a twinge of guilt for beating the shit out of him, taking his women, and planning to take even more.
He was also curious about what had happened to Riser's peerage, since he had actually added Issei and Saji to it, but he never expected him to react like this.
[A person who has never tasted failure their entire life, and then gets brutally abused by you, of course, you'll become their worst nightmare. It's already admirable that he managed to stand so close to you without losing his shit earlier.] the system informed him.
'So people like this actually exist, heh,' Yusuke thought in amazement. He couldn't relate to someone like Riser, since his entire existence had been the opposite. His life had been filled with suffering, failure, and rejection, which had taught him to accept failure in any form and keep moving forward.
Even when he failed, he never doubted himself, because from the very beginning, he saw himself as an absolute failure who did not deserve love or appreciation, though he still sought them anyway.
Yusuke decided to ignore Riser and do him a favor by keeping his distance. The man was already pitiful, and he didn't want to make him feel any more miserable.
BOOMM!
"Enough!!!!"
Falling from the sky like a scorched comet, Kokabiel struggled to stand, his body trembling. Half of him was burned, blackened, and charred, with scorched flesh and blood gruesomely visible. Two-thirds of his face was destroyed, leaving him unable to open his left eye. His head was mostly bald, with only a small patch remaining on the right. His left chest and neck were similarly burned, and on his left arm, parts of the bones were even exposed.
Kokabiel was not built for physical durability. Although far stronger than most, he did not possess an indestructible body capable of withstanding attacks. He wasn't an all-around xianxia cultivator, and three consecutive Fire Dragon Roars landing one after another would have killed him if not for the magic circles that absorbed most of the damage.
"I will kill you all!"
These stupid Devils were supposed to entertain him, not push him this far. He was Kokabiel! His name had been recorded in the bible since ancient times. He was the one who survived the battle against God and the past Maou.
How could he accept being trampled like this by a bunch of teenagers who were not even as old as the hair in his pubic area!
"I'll kill you all and destroy this cursed place with you as well!!!"
Spreading his arms wide, Kokabiel roared in fury. In the sky above him, a massive spear of light formed. It grew larger in a split second, then doubled again, swelling until it looked as big as a tall building and continued to grow even further.
Swoosh!
Puff!!
Suddenly, out of nowhere, blood poured from Kokabiel's left shoulder, spraying a small shower of red before his arm hit the ground. Behind him, Murayama appeared with her sword in hand. "I told you to shut the fuck up. And why are you spreading your arms like that? It is like you are begging me to cut them off."
Murayama swung her sword through the air, flicking the blood from the blade.
"...Impressive! Impressive indeed! You knew that with your speed alone, it was hard to land an attack on me, so you waited for me to lose focus before striking."
Kokabiel seemed to snap back to his senses. He stared at his severed hand on the ground and calmly used holy power to stop the bleeding. Then he let out a faint laugh. "But even if you are skillful and cunning, it is too late!"
"All of you will die!"
The spear of light that had grown to an enormous size still hung in the air above them. At his shout, it lurched downward and shot toward the ground. It was not aimed at anyone in particular, because once it exploded, no one would be spared.
"I won't let you!" Sona gritted her teeth and thrust her hand forward, trying to use her Telekinesis to stop it. All she managed to do was slow its descent.
"Me too! I won't allow this!" Murayama and Akeno added their own Telekinesis, pushing against it with everything they had.
The speed of the spear dropped sharply, but it was still moving.
"I'll blow it up!" Aika gritted her teeth, glaring at the spear hanging in the sky. She was about to unleash another Fire Dragon Roar when Tsubaki stopped her. "No, don't!"
"The impact would destroy the entire school and maybe even the whole town!"
"What should we do then?" Aika stared at her, then back at the spear, frustration written all over her face.
"Don't worry, I have a way."
Tsubaki flew into the air, then reached out to Yusuke. "Babe, can you please praise me?" In complete contrast to the tense atmosphere, her voice was sweet as honey, and her tone carried a playful hint of coyness.
"Sure," Yusuke's voice came from the other side, low and husky. "Tsubaki, you did great. You're the most perfect girlfriend I could ask for. And by the way, you look incredibly hot right now. I want to take you home and fuck your brains out."
"Ahn♡! This feeling! This is what I am looking for, ahn♡! Yusuke♡!"
Tsubaki felt a sudden surge of pleasure rising from the very depths of her soul, spreading through every cell of her body. Along with it came an explosive rush of power that flooded through her.
That was the effect of Yusuke's skill 'For the Master'. It was a skill that boosted his Gouderes stats by 40% whenever he praised them.
Tsubaki had asked him to praise her earlier because she wanted to activate this skill.
"What is she trying to do?" Xenovia and Irina exchanged confused glances.
"Hahaha! Are you trying to stop my Holy Light Spear?! How foolish! To devils, holy light is the most dangerous poison! Go on, I want to see how you get yourself killed!"
Kokabiel flapped his wings and laughed at Tsubaki with open contempt. He had no worry at all about any of them stopping his attack. Once it landed, all these disgusting Devils would die.
As for his allies, Freed and Valper, who would be caught in the blast as well, why should he care about them?
The additional boost made Tsubaki feel even more confident. Ignoring Kokabiel's arrogant words, she flew straight toward the spear. When she was just a short distance away, she spread her hands wide and summoned her Sacred Gear. "Mirror Alice."
Crack!
Getting a little closer, the Spear of Light struck the mirror, and unsurprisingly, it shattered. It was no match for an attack unleashed by an Ultimate Class fallen angel.
However, the damage that should have struck Tsubaki did not occur. On the contrary, the Spear of Light doubled in size, reversed direction, and shot back toward the sky before detonating midair.
BOOMMM!
The night sky suddenly brightened, the intense light spreading in all directions. Everyone was forced to shut their eyes against the blinding glare.
...
The blinding light burst out for a short moment, washing over the entire group and forcing them to cover their eyes. If it were not for the barrier around them, that light would have swallowed the whole town along with everything nearby and might have even been seen across all of Japan.
"I did it! I'll have Yusuke give me special treatment for this later!" Tsubaki grinned excitedly. She was not sure at first if she could reflect the attack of someone like Kokabiel, so she asked for Yusuke's praise. Now that it worked, she felt she deserved a reward too.
'We'll go on a date to Osaka, I can have my way with Yusuke as much as I want without anyone interrupting us, hehehe~! Hahaha! Kyahahahaha!'
The smile on her face turned into something so creepy and obsessive that even Kokabiel shuddered.
"Another Sacred Gear?!" Kokabiel's face darkened more than under the bed. He growled furiously, "You stopped my attack! Let us see if you can do it again!" He was completely losing his shit. This was supposed to be a quick and easy fight until one of the Maou showed up, and he planned to proudly announce a war while destroying the town in the process.
Not for him to be beaten like this. He had taken more injuries from these stupid kids than he ever did in the war. Even when he fought the strongest human alive, Vasco Strada, the previous owner of Durandal, he never took this many hits.
Swoosh!
"Old man, you've already lived long enough. Why don't you take a break from life?" Murayama turned into a purple light and appeared behind him, swinging her sword in a clean, deadly arc. Her expression stayed cold and cruel.
Yanderes, no matter the type, all had strangely high fighting talent. It was as if they were built to hurt people.
Murayama was exceptionally skilled at stabbing and cutting, and Yusuke could vouch for that; he had experienced it firsthand.
"Annoying brat!" Losing his arm, Kokabiel refused to fall for the same trick. He flapped his wings and moved away from her, preparing to fight back, when he suddenly felt a hot sensation striking him from three different places.
Without even thinking, he knew they had to be the Fire Dragon Roars fired by Aika, Raynare, and Kalawarna.
BOOMM!
Their attacks seemed to anticipate his every move. He barely managed to evade the first one when the other two slammed into him from both sides, enveloping him in another fireball and sending him flying far away, crashing into a building and completely destroying it.
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
Without giving him a chance to breathe, Akeno summoned more Holy Lightning, raining it down on him.
Standing next to Sona, Rias watched everything unfolding with very, very cold eyes. She knew they had grown strong, but she didn't expect them to become **this** strong. Akeno, whom she had always thought she knew well, had become insanely powerful. If the two were to fight right now, Akeno would wipe the floor with her.
The two fallen angels she once looked down on had undergone a complete transformation. Even Tsubaki, who had originally been very troublesome to deal with, had become even more terrifying!
'With them around, taking Yusuke will be much more problematic. I need to consult Grayfia-nee and adjust the plans with her,' Rias thought silently, narrowing her cold eyes.
When she first discovered the number of women around Yusuke, she had been confident that with her charm, Yusuke would inevitably fall for her and forget about the other sluts. But reality hit her with a double slap. First, her charm was far weaker than she had thought. Second, Yusuke was actively trying to seduce even more women. This became painfully clear during the match against Riser Phenex, where Yusuke seduced three other sluts right under her eyes.
This snapped the last of her patience and mental resilience. She no longer felt it was viable to use peaceful methods to make Yusuke hers. She was planning to kidnap him and slowly force him to love her back, even if it meant breaking his body and mind.
Koneko, standing next to her, felt an even greater pressure. She had thought that after overcoming her fear and learning Senjutsu, she would be strong enough to overcome any obstacle. To think that other women had become even stronger than her shook her confidence.
Different from Rias, she didn't have any backers like Grayfia or the Gremory house. On the contrary, her only backer was actually her love rival. Even without considering how strong Yusuke himself was, if she tried to use force, the other women would brutally crush her like they did with the two church warriors.
'At this rate, senpai will be completely taken from me! What do I do?! What do I do?! I want senpai to love me back! To look at only me! To only pat my head! To only let me sit on his lap!' Biting her nails, she thought anxiously.
On the other side of the battlefield, Xenovia and Irina, who were supposed to take care of Freed and Valper, stood frozen, watching the scene with wide eyes. Xenovia clenched Durandal, her gaze full of determination. "I will never give up on Yu, even if they were ten times stronger!"
She was confident she could become stronger than them and defeat them. Besides, she did not need overwhelming strength to take Yusuke from them. She could make him fall for her so deeply that he could not live without her.
'He told me that I was a splendid and wonderful woman. He must be in love with me. I just have to make him realize that only my love is real and the others are fake!'
Xenovia's face split into a very wide smile, her eyes turning into dark blue hearts as she tightly embraced her sword, 'Yes! I don't need to be stronger. I can have Yusuke protect me from them. Fufufu, this is even more satisfying and romantic!'
"…It's complete."
Valper's voice rang out suddenly, and the three Excaliburs placed in the center of the school field began radiating an incredible amount of light.
"No, stop him!" Saji snapped back to his senses and rushed toward him.
Issei and Kiba followed suit, the latter moving at full speed to intercept the old man.
The magic circle began emitting a divine light that spread across the school field. Its brilliance forced the three boys to shield their faces with their hands.
When the light finally faded, instead of three, only one holy sword remained at the center of the field, radiating a blue-white aura.
It was somewhat admirable that this old man was neither stopped nor distracted by the fight between Kokabiel and the bloodthirsty Yanderes. He had even managed to finish relatively earlier than expected.
"I can finally use it! Kyahahaha!" Freed, who was standing next to Valper, laughed and grabbed the sword without even asking for permission. Holding it, he ran his disgustingly long tongue along the blade while cackling creepily. "Excalibur-chan has become super super powerful! Hehehe! I will use it to chop these Devils!"
"Chop! Chop! Chop!"
"Devils-chan, here I come!"
"Valper Galilei. I am a survivor of the 'Holy-sword Project.' No. To be precise, I am the one you killed. I have continued living by being reincarnated as a Devil." Kiba stepped forward slowly toward Valper, with Issei and Saji following close behind him.
With Freed standing in front of him as a shield, Valper laughed. "A survivor of that project. What a misfortune to meet you in a far eastern country like this. I can feel fate. Fufufu."
Swoosh!
With a loud bursting sound, Kiba's figure flashed forward, and he appeared before Valper, bringing his sword down. Freed reacted just as fast, blocking him. "I can't have you kill this old man yet. I still need him."
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
The two moved at an unprecedented speed, exchanging blows as their swords clashed. The fused Excalibur was far stronger than the individual blades, and with just a few exchanges, Kiba's swords would shatter, forcing him to summon new ones.
"Shit! These two are moving so fast, I can't even see them!" Saji watched as they moved at a blinding speed and cursed in frustration.
[Boost!], [Boost!]
"Just be ready. An opportunity will present itself," Issei said, charging his boosted gear while staring intensely.
"You see. I like holy swords. I like them so much that they even show up in my dreams. Maybe it is because my heart was fascinated by the legend of Excalibur ever since I was a child. That is why, when I found out that I could not use Excalibur, I fell into despair." Valper watched the fight from a distance and began delivering his classic villain speech.
He went on about his project, how he experimented on those who had holy factors, and how he disposed of them whenever their factors were too low or after he had taken what he wanted and crystallized it.
He also mocked the church with clear disdain, pointing out their hypocrisy. Even though they expelled him and called him a heretic, they were still using his research and supplying their holy sword wielders with holy factors while calling it a blessing.
Kiba reacted violently, especially when Valper casually tossed an orb toward him and said it was something left over from his old experiments. Kiba caught the orb and began to cry, and then, with a surge of pure nakama power, he achieved his Balance Breaker, Sword of Betrayer.
Freed fought back using the combined abilities of Excalibur Rapidly, Excalibur Nightmare, and Excalibur Transparency.
Saji found an opportunity and used his Sacred Gear to bind him, and Issei transferred his power to Kiba to boost him. In the end, they managed to defeat Freed.
"Excalibur Nightmare conjures whatever the wielder can imagine. What an interesting ability." While watching the fight, Rias noticed this, and a thought suddenly popped into her head. "If I can use it, wouldn't I have an endless amount of Yusuke surrounding me?"
The idea hit her so hard that her face turned bright red, her breathing grew heavier, and a thin line of blood slid from her nose. She had imagined something so lewd that even she knew she should never say it out loud.
Puff!
"Excalibur Nightmare?" Koneko's ears twitched as she caught Rias's whisper. Her mind went into overdrive, smoke practically bursting from her head. She also started imagining a very unhealthy scene of her own.
On the other side, Kokabiel finally burst out from the destroyed building. Countless magic circles appeared behind him at an insane speed and began firing Holy Spears in every direction.
Creating a powerful spear capable of blasting the entire town would take a dozen seconds, but to fire these weaker ones, he only needed a single thought. Since these women had been desperately trying to stop him from using his strongest attacks, then he would simply give them a full shower of holy power instead!
BOOMM! BOOMM! BOOMM!
Countless explosions erupted, blasting through the school, tearing apart buildings, and carving out numerous craters.
"Be careful!" Sona cried out as she flew through the air, dodging one of the spears. To the Devils, holy power was their ultimate nemesis. While in flight, she conjured a dense blue dragon and directed it toward Kokabiel, shouting as she commanded, "We can't allow him to move freely! Keep attacking!"
Murayama and Aika spread their wings and took to the air, doing their best to dodge the countless spears while fighting back.
Raynare scooped Asia into her arms and flew upward, moving back through the air as she unleashed another Fire Dragon Roar.
Thanks to their Observation Haki, the group of Yanderes found it much easier to evade his attacks.
"Ah!" Not everyone had Observation Haki, and despite her best efforts, Sona was struck by one of the attacks, injuring her shoulder.
"Sona!" the girls shouted in shock and horror.
Landing on the ground, Sona held her shoulder and forced a smile. "Don't worry about me. Focus on him. We can't allow him to do as he pleases!"
'I can use this as an excuse to make Yusuke pamper me later!' Sona felt a stabbing pain sharper than being pierced by countless long needles all over her body, yet inside, she felt strangely happy, knowing she could use this chance to make Yusuke indulge her even more than he usually does.
"Asia, heal her," Raynare called as she flew down, placing Asia beside Sona before quickly returning to join the other girls.
"Yes!" Asia trembled from fear and shock, her hands shaking as she began healing Sona. "Sona-sama, please hold on. It will be over soon!"
'Tsk! So much for a fallen angel leader. He can't even kill a single Devil! Useless trash!' Wearing a concerned expression, Asia cursed in her mind, feeling utter disdain for Kokabiel, who hadn't even managed to take down a single one of her rivals.
Since they wanted to rely solely on themselves to defeat Kokabiel, the women brought Asia along as their healer. Asia, with a strange aura that made people naturally drawn to her, had become someone these women wanted to protect. Even Yusuke liked her quite a bit, though not in a sexual way.
She could have had a great relationship with everyone if it weren't for the invisible barrier she always put up between herself and everyone except Yusuke. She always appeared as a timid girl who could start crying at any moment, making others cautious not to upset her, though the only one who barely cared about that was Raynare.
"Twilight Healing that can heal Devils, and also that boy's Holy-Demonic sword." Kokabiel flew into the air, his expression looking miserable, but he still tried to maintain a haughty appearance, positioning himself with the moon behind him and speaking in an arrogant tone. "His death has caused many things that should have been impossible to happen."
A pink pillar of fire shot through the air, slamming toward him, but it was stopped by a magic formation. Aika cursed, "Old piece of shit, you are so persistent! Just die!" They had been attacking this bastard for nearly a quarter of an hour, yet they still hadn't managed to finish him off.
"What is he saying?" Xenovia frowned, sensing that Kokabiel was speaking about something important.
"That boy's Balance Breaker, holy and demonic power, the polar opposite of two things that cannot merge, had merged in his hands," Kokabiel said calmly while hurling more holy spears, each one pelting down like rain.
Valper Galilei, still on his knees and unable to believe what had just happened, kept staring blankly. Freed had been defeated even while wielding the fused Excalibur, and now Kiba's Balance Breaker existed on top of that. Hearing Kokabiel's words jogged something in his mind, "...I see! I get it now! Holy and demonic. It makes sense if the beings that represent the two become unbalanced! Then not only the Maou but the God has also..."
Poof!
Suddenly, one of the spears of light drilled through his back and burst out from his stomach before exploding, reducing the fat old man to ashes.
"Useless trash, I should be the one saying that. Why are you bouncing around, interrupting me?" Kokabiel sneered while resisting the telekinetic force that had been dragging him downward since earlier. He slipped past two more Fire Dragon Roars.
"You killed him!" Kiba's eyes went red as if he wanted to tear Kokabiel apart with his teeth. Valper was supposed to die by his hand, not explode like overcooked popcorn.
"Calm down, buddy, he's already dead," Issei walked over and patted his back, doing his best impression of a responsible adult. "You should let it go now; the whole thing is done."
"Yeah, your friends wouldn't want you dragging yourself around with hatred. Live for yourself so they can smile at you from the heavens," Saji added as he walked over with a gentle smile, then froze. "Eghh! Damn it! Just saying the heavens hurt!" He clutched his head.
"You guys..." Kiba stared at the two of them, eyes trembling as tears slipped down his face. He had lost his friends, but somehow gained new ones along the way. 'Everyone, watch over me, I'll try to live a better life.' He lifted his head toward the sky, offering a quiet prayer.
"What are you doing?" Irina noticed Xenovia suddenly walking toward the fight and called out to her.
"I've been feeling useless this whole fight. I didn't do anything," Xenovia said while gripping Durandal with both hands. A wide grin spread across her face. "I'm going out there to smack that old bastard around and make Yusuke see me in a new light."
The two were supposed to be dealing with Valper and Freed, but the astonishing power displayed by the other women left them frozen, watching the fight in shock. Rias and Koneko were in a similar situation, as they were supposed to be helping too.
Fighting an Ultimate-class Fallen Angel was dangerous, but wasn't that all the more exciting? If she got severely injured, wouldn't Yusuke panic and feel guilty for her? Maybe he would finally realize his true feelings for her and vow to be with her forever.
Yanderes may differ from one another, but some of their traits are very similar. Somehow, many of the women fighting right now were thinking along similar lines, either getting injured on purpose to guilt Yusuke into paying more attention to them or trying to awaken the supposedly true love he had for them, just like Xenovia believed.
This woman's Yandere mind didn't even consider for a moment that it was literally impossible for Yusuke to be in love with her, since they had just met for one single day. She believed that because she had fallen for him at first sight, he must feel the same way. He had to be in love with her just as much!
"Xenovia, I love you! You are the only woman I need in my life."
"Will you marry me?"
"Let's be together forever!"
"I love you! I love you! I love you!"
Scenes of Yusuke confessing his overwhelming love to her, proposing, marrying her, and living together as a couple in a remote part of northern Europe kept flashing through her mind.
"Haaa!" Xenovia felt a surge of unprecedented power coursing through her body, a strength she had never experienced before. Without thinking, she rushed toward the battlefield with a loud cry and swung her sword, sending a massive golden sword aura crashing toward Kokabiel.
Kokabiel barely paid attention to her attack, giving it only a single glance as a magic circle appeared to easily block it. He twisted his body to the side just as Murayama's sword flashed past, cutting through the spot where he had just been.
He pointed at Xenovia and Murayama, firing two beams of pure holy light while saying, "To think that even after losing the masters you serve, you devils and followers of God can still improve and fight!"
"...What do you mean?" Sona asked, her voice tinged with doubt.
Kokabiel began laughing aloud, as if he found it truly amusing. "Fuhahahahahaha! That's right! I completely forgot! The truth hasn't been revealed to you, lowly ones! Then I will tell you. In the war between the three factions, not only the four Maous but also God died!"
"Impossible!"
"Bullshit!"
Irina and Xenovia were the first to react. Their faces twisted in rage, and Irina rushed forward, completely ignoring the enormous gap in strength between them as she attacked him.
For the two of them, their faith in God had been the core of their entire lives. It shaped their identity, their purpose, and almost every choice they ever made. Anyone who insulted God would face their wrath, let alone someone claiming that He was dead.
How could God die?!
"This can't be! It must be a lie… he must be lying." Asia's legs wobbled, and she slumped to the ground, staring at Kokabiel's figure in the sky with trembling eyes.
"Pitiful, truly pitiful." Kokabiel laughed mockingly and shook his head. "It's normal for you not to know. Who would dare announce that God is dead? Humans can barely control their own hearts even when they think someone is watching them from above. Take that away, and the whole system collapses. Even we, fallen angels and devils, avoid telling the ones under us. You never know who will leak it. Among the three factions, only those at the top and a handful of others know the truth. Valper just happened to figure it out earlier."
For a moment, everyone froze, even the Yanderes who usually reacted first stood there stunned. Even Yusuke looked taken aback. Kokabiel glanced at Asia, Irina, and Xenovia with a mocking smirk and continued talking.
"After the War, what remained were angels who lost their God, devils who lost their Maou, and the majority of their high class, and fallen angels who lost almost everyone except their leaders. It wasn't just exhaustion. Every faction fell so low that they had to rely on humans to continue their bloodlines. Angels and fallen angels, especially since they can only reproduce by mating with humans. Fallen angels can still increase when an angel falls, but pure angels can no longer grow in number without God. Even pure devils are rare, right?"
"...Lies...it's a lie..." Xenovia's legs trembled and her grip loosened. That panicked look on her face was hard to watch. Someone like her, someone who lived by serving God as her reason to breathe, couldn't accept something like this. If God didn't exist anymore, then the mission she built her entire life on would crumble, and so would she.
"Impossible... Impossible... It had to be a lie!" Irina's reaction blew past Xenovia's completely. She was far more devoted than either Xenovia or Asia. Dropping to her knees, she curled up on the ground like she was trying to protect herself from a storm only she could see, muttering through her tears.
The truth hit both of them in the cruelest way possible. It felt like someone had walked up and rejected their entire existence, tearing apart everything they believed in and telling them their lives had been one giant lie.
"...God doesn't exist? God is dead? Then the love we were given by him is..." Asia sat on the ground with Sona supporting her from the side. Her face looked completely bleak, her eyes losing every bit of light they had.
Kokabiel answered her with a laugh, "Exactly. There is no love from God and no divine protection. God has already gone. Michael is doing fine, though. He stepped in to look after angels and humans. As long as the system God left behind still works, prayers, blessings, and exorcisms will function. But compared to when God was alive, believers have decreased. That kid with the Holy demonic sword over there managed to create it only because the balance between God and the Maou collapsed. Normally, holy power and demonic power cannot mix. Once the beings who governed those powers disappeared, all kinds of strange things began to happen."
"So what if God is dead! We still have Yusuke!" Her voice echoed across the ruined schoolyard. Even as a reincarnated Devil, the revelation had shaken her for a moment, but she pulled herself back fast. She jabbed her finger at Kokabiel, eyes blazing. "Get your shit together! This bastard is saying all this just to mess with our heads and buy time to prepare his strongest attacks!"
She moved like lightning and shot into the air toward Kokabiel, cutting his speech short.
What she said was true. Kokabiel absolutely intended to drop the truth to rattle them and squeeze out a moment to catch his breath and launch a stronger attack. They were still young, and it was painfully easy to shake their hearts with a few well-placed words.
Unfortunately for him, his opponents were insane Yanderes. Murayama's shout jolted Aika and the others back to their senses, and they resumed their attacks. "Old fuck, if even God is dead, why the fuck are you still alive?! Go follow him too!" Aika screamed as she leapt into the air, striking at him with a Fire Dragon's Iron Fist.
'Yes! Yusuke-sama!'
'Yusuke-sama! I still have Yusuke-sama! Hehehe.'
Light returned to Asia's eyes as she slowly stood up, lowering her head and covering her face with both hands to hide the freaky, obsessive expression she was making. She screamed in her mind, 'Yusuke-sama is all I need! Even if the Lord is gone, I still have Yusuke-sama! Yusuke-sama!'
'I love you! Yusuke-sama!' Her eyes literally glowed with intense light, transforming into bright red hearts. The absolute shock that could make anyone despair triggered Asia's defensive mechanism, twisting her already warped emotions into an even darker obsession and love for Yusuke.
'Yusuke-sama! I will save you!''
It wasn't just her. Irina and Xenovia felt the same. Both women snapped back to their senses upon hearing these words. Xenovia turned and stared at Yusuke, who was standing far away. "Yu, I still have you! I don't need anything else!"
Irina stood up, her head still hanging low. She slowly walked toward Yusuke, dragging her sword across the ground, muttering, "Darling! I still have darling! I need to see darling now..."
BOOMM! BOOOMM! BOOOMM!
'Damn it! At this rate I might really die!' In the background, explosions continued erupting one after another, painting the sky with countless colors. Kokabiel, interrupted mid-cast, was pushed back once again. He roared inside his mind, 'This isn't the death I envisioned! I didn't even die at the hands of Maou, how could I die to a bunch of brats!'
Bang!
Raynare smashed him into the ground with a Fire Dragon's Claw.
Tsubaki followed up and drove her fist into him with a Fire Dragon's Iron Fist.
Swoosh!
Murayama then swept in from the side and slashed his shoulder, cutting off his remaining arm with one clean strike.
"Stop!" Just then, a figure shot in from afar, rushing toward them at incredible speed, leaving a white trail streaking across the air.
...
"Oh, you are finally making your move." However, just as the person advanced, Yusuke took off into the air and appeared before him, blocking his path.
With his Observation Haki, he sensed that someone had been watching the fight from the beginning, but had remained inactive. Yusuke waited, holding his position, letting the other party make the first move.
It was a handsome young man with light silver hair, wearing black pants and a black jacket with a dark green shirt underneath. The most striking feature, however, was the white wings behind him, glowing with a soft, radiant light.
'It's a man, fortunately, it's not another Yandere,' Yusuke sighed in relief when he saw that the newcomer was a man.
[Hehehe, who said only women can become Yandere?] The system suddenly laughed in a strange, unsettling way.
'Fuck you! That's disgusting!' Yusuke's face twisted in revulsion as the image of a group of grown-ass men chasing him flashed in his mind, making him want to puke.
[Heh, just because you got some hoes, you forgot your past, Gaylord, I mean, Gaelaord! Hahahaha! Your parents must really have loved you to give you such a splendid name!] The system's loud laugh echoed in his mind.
'Bitch, you are so annoying, one day I will fuck you!' Yusuke clenched his fists tightly, his face twitching involuntarily. No one could understand how uncomfortable it was to have an irritating voice constantly running its mouth inside his mind.
[Ehn!] The system suddenly stopped laughing, letting out a strange, surprised sound before saying, [How boring! You are no fun at all.] Her voice then faded completely.
"Get out of the way, I need to take that guy back with me," Vali said calmly. He had been watching the fight from earlier since Azazel instructed him to retrieve Kokabiel alive, but now that Kokabiel was in a dangerous situation, he finally stepped in to save him.
"Nah, I can't let you interrupt my girls' fun. Stay put," Yusuke said, shaking his finger. His cute Yanderes had been tearing into that arrogant fallen angel since earlier, putting in so much effort that there was no way he would let some random guy claim their prize just because he said so.
"Hahaha, you look strong, I want to see how you plan to stop me then!" Vali laughed suddenly. He glanced down at Issei on the ground, who happened to be staring back at him. "I originally came to check on my rival, the Red Dragon Emperor, but I was disappointed to see that my rival turned out to be this weak."
He pointed at Yusuke and said, "I'll use you as compensation to relieve my disappointment!"
Swoosh!
He shot forward and turned into a flash, leaving a zigzagging trail in the air as he moved at high speed. In the blink of an eye, he closed the distance and swung his punch at Yusuke.
Yusuke tilted his head to the side, dodging the attack with calm ease.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
"Oh? You've got some skill! I like it!" Vali paused in surprise before grinning wildly and throwing a flurry of punches at Yusuke. His movements were extremely fast, producing afterimages each time he moved.
But even so, Yusuke calmly dodged all his attacks with minimal movement. He barely budged from his original spot. With the help of Observation Haki, he predicted every strike far too easily, and with his own speed, reacting and dodging them felt even simpler.
Down on the ground, Issei stared at the two men fighting and spoke to Ddraig, "Is that the White Dragon Emperor you've been talking about?"
[Yes, that is the white one. It seems the White Dragon Emperor of this generation is very strong. That is bad news for you, partner.] The green jewel on the Boosted Gear flashed as Ddraig's voice echoed out.
"Shit! I have to fight someone like that?! How am I supposed to do that! He will probably blast my head off with one punch!" Issei felt his stomach sink as he watched Vali's movements, movements so fast he could not even catch them with his eyes. He added in amazement, "That white guy is seriously strong, but the weird one here is Aoki-san. He looks so relaxed while facing that guy's attacks!"
"No wonder he can have so many scary and beautiful women in his harem!"
[Yeah, these women are scary. If he wasn't strong enough, they might have dismembered his body into pieces, and each one of them would have taken a part.] Ddraig said while laughing.
"Shit!" Issei's face turned pale. "That is not the harem I want!" He felt a new wave of admiration for Yusuke for being able to rein in those scary women. Just glancing at Xenovia and Irina, who were whispering creepy things while walking like the walking dead, made Issei question his dream for a moment.
Would he also have to deal with scary women like these if he tried to build his own harem? He had never even seen a naked pair of breasts in real life, so how was he supposed to handle women like that?
"Impossible! How can I..." With a loud, disbelieving cry, Kokabiel suddenly collapsed to his knees. His body leaned to the left, but before it hit the ground, his head slid cleanly from his neck and rolled away from the body.
When Kokabiel saw Vali, he relaxed slightly, feeling that he had come to save him, even if it meant punishment from Azazel. But in that moment of distraction, the other women made their move and pushed him into a corner.
With Tsubaki slamming him to the ground with a Dragon Roar and Akeno bombarding him with Holy Lightning, Murayama was already waiting on the ground. She beheaded him with a single slash.
Her sword ran through his neck without any obstruction, cleanly severing it.
He was already exhausted and battered with accumulated injuries. The final waves of attacks were the last straw that broke him.
"It looks like your buddy is dead," Yusuke said, tilting his body to the side to evade another attack. He even had leisure to glance at the scene behind him while fighting.
"Tsk! He died so easily! Azazel is going to be very mad... how annoying!" Vali paused his attacks, staring at Kokabiel's beheaded body and scratching his head in annoyance. He quickly returned to his usual composure and spoke to Yusuke, "You are strong. It's unfortunate that I can't have a proper fight with you this time. Next time, let's have a good fight!"
"Red Dragon Emperor! Next time, you'd better become strong, or I'll end up killing you!" He pointed at Issei and declared before turning around and flying far away.
"What a weird guy," Yusuke muttered with a strange expression as he watched him leave. Despite the attacks, he didn't sense any malice from him.
...
"So Kokabiel died, heh." After leaving Kuoh Town, Vali contacted Azazel. The latter showed a melancholic look for a short moment and let out a heavy sigh while shaking his head. "He was looking for his own doom by trying to provoke another war. Even if he did not die, I was planning to seal him for eternity. Perhaps this is a better fate for him."
"Since he liked fighting so much, it is better for him to die in battle."
"Whatever you say, Azazel," Vali shrugged his shoulders uncaringly. He added with a smile, "That human earlier was quite interesting. It is rare to meet someone like him. Even though I hadn't been using my full power, that guy handled everything so effortlessly, as if he predicted my moves."
"By comparison, my destined rival, the Red Dragon Emperor, is still far too weak."
"That human, his name is Yusuke Aoki. It is suspected that he is a descendant of some hero and only recently awakened his power. He is very strange. Even if he were a hero descendant, he shouldn't be this strong in such a short time." Azazel fell silent for a moment before commenting further. He was very suspicious about Yusuke's origin. After his fight with Riser, Azazel had managed to get firsthand information and was genuinely surprised by Yusuke's existence.
After all, how could a human gain the power to nearly rival an Ultimate-Class Devil in such a short time without a Sacred Gear or divine artifact?
"Issei Hyoudou and Yusuke Aoki both share a common trait. One is trying to create his harem, while the other is expanding his harem," Azazel said, suddenly laughing as he spoke to Vali. "Shouldn't you also try to find some women to accompany you?"
"Dragons are lustful by nature. It would be very befitting for you, the White Dragon Emperor, to have a large harem as well."
As the one who had brought Vali up, he was genuinely worried about his future. This Vali was so obsessed with fighting and showed no interest in women, which made him even more concerned about Vali's future.
"Not interested," Vali shrugged his shoulders, speaking calmly. "I always say that girls are for those who want to lose their virginity, and I..."
"I never lose!"
"..." Azazel's hologram stared at him blankly. 'What in the actual fuck did I just hear?!!!'
...
"I am so tired, damn it! School should be only two hours a day!"
"Two hours is still too much. My short attention span won't let me focus for more than half an hour a day."
"Hey, are you free after school?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Do you want to come to my place for some Netflix and chill?"
"Dude! I'm a man! This school is literally filled with women. Go ask a girl out!"
"Tsk!"
Walking through the hall, Yusuke listened to the students' stupid chatter. He wandered aimlessly with no particular direction in mind. His usual rooftop spot had already been occupied by random Yanderes, so he couldn't go there if he wanted to be alone.
Three days had passed since the battle with the fallen angel Kokabiel. The school had been closed for repairs for two days and only resumed today. With magic and all that shit, they had managed to finish the repairs easily in just two days.
Yusuke heard that the incident had caused a huge reaction on the devils' side. It was said that the two Maous, Sirzechs Lucifer and Serafall Leviathan, had become furious. The latter nearly went to the Grigori headquarters to make them pay, if she hadn't been stopped by her subordinates and parents.
'Still, I heard that Grayfia would be coming to check on Rias and the others. The main reason is probably to find out how they managed to take down Kokabiel on their own,' Yusuke thought silently as he turned down the corridor.
He was alone this time because Murayama and Aika were in the Student Council room with Sona, Tsubaki, and their other peerage members.
Akeno and Koneko were in the ORC room with Rias, apparently discussing what to do with Kiba.
"Well, that's none of my business anyway," Yusuke shrugged his shoulders. He wasn't planning to go to the ORC room this time. He wasn't interested in unnecessary drama and would rather think of a way to deal with the Yanderes. 'Speaking of which... she is here.'
Just then, a hand suddenly grabbed his arm and pulled him into a classroom, pushing him against the wall.
"Gotcha!"
...
The atmosphere in the Occult Research Club felt oddly stiff. Rias sat in her usual seat behind the desk, her expression indifferent.
Koneko did not seem to care about what was going on. She held a smartphone in one hand and a cookie in the other, munching on it while scrolling through the private chat group she had been invited to recently. It was packed with all sorts of 'precious' materials.
They were all pictures and videos of Yusuke. There wasn't anything strange; most of them showed parts of his daily life, his sleeping face, moments when he was eating, walking outside, or at school.
The lewdest ones were pictures of him coming out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist, or shots taken while he was training, his upper body covered in sweat.
Compared to the secret stashes the other women were hiding, these pictures and videos were very tame. For Koneko, who was short on 'research' materials, this collection felt incredibly precious. She even started feeling grateful to Akeno for inviting her to the group chat, completely against her usual yandere instincts.
"Please, have some tea." Akeno presented the guests with tea while maintaining her calm and composed smile, then retreated to stand behind Rias like a proper Queen and second in command. The two might be in conflict, but they were smart enough not to show it to outsiders.
The guests present in the room this time were Riser and his peerage, which included Issei and Saji. There was also one more person who could not really be called a guest, standing there with his head lowered. It was Kiba.
"Rias, are you really not going to forgive Kiba-kun?" Sitting on the sofa opposite Rias, Riser spoke calmly while sipping his tea. He would rather not stay in this town a second longer if he could. This place only brought him bad memories and PTSD.
However, even though he was unwilling to come, he had to. In this town, he had managed to gain two members of his peerage and was planning to recruit another.
Kiba raised his head and glanced at Rias, but she was not even looking in his direction.
After the battle with Kokabiel, in which Rias had been completely useless, she did not forgive Kiba for his 'betrayal'. The most she did was refrain from declaring him a stray devil, but she refused to allow him back into her peerage, even if it meant losing her Knight Peerage. Her refusal was fueled by the sting of Akeno's betrayal, which had left her hating betrayals above all else.
In fact, if it had not affected her plans, she would have kicked Akeno out as well or found someone to trade pieces with her.
"I don't think that is something that concerns you, Riser," Rias spoke coldly. She hated this bastard as well. Why had he gathered so many women as his peerage members, women who ended up seducing her Yusuke? It was all these women's fault for being unnecessarily attractive!
Glaring at him, she added, "If you have something to say, then spit it out already and fuck off!" She was still brooding over the fact that this guy had come into her territory without informing her, even if it was with her brother's permission.
This territory was supposed to be hers. She should at least have been informed beforehand. When would her family stop treating her like a child?
"Fine, in that case I shall be more forward." Riser ignored her rude attitude. He felt he had dodged a bullet by breaking the engagement with her. This woman was too uncouth. She had no manners at all. As expected of the lesser gender, they were all useless and troublesome.
Clearing his throat, he spoke, "I want to propose an exchange of Evil Pieces. I would like to take Kiba as a member of my peerage."
"What?!" Issei, Saji, and even Kiba exclaimed at the same time. The three stared at Riser in astonishment before Issei and Saji turned to glance at Kiba. Having fought together and formed a tacit understanding, the two of them thought it would be great to have him as their comrade.
"I guess so." Rias did not show any surprise. Instead, she asked, "Did my brother also tell you to do this?"
"No, this is my original intention. I value Kiba's talent and character, and I came this time sincerely and in good faith to propose an exchange." Riser shook his head. Kiba was one of the most skilled swordsmen he had ever seen at his age, especially after attaining his Balance Breaker. He could not understand why Rias would be unwilling to forgive him.
Rias did not speak for a long time. She tapped the desk with her index finger for what felt like an eternity before finally saying, "Very well. You can have him."
"Rias-buchou!" Kiba glanced at Rias in disbelief, his heart breaking. Although he had been prepared for this outcome, it still hurt when it actually happened.
"Buchou!" Koneko suddenly stopped scrolling on her phone and spoke. She really liked her senpai. Even if he was sometimes stupid, he was very loyal and also cooked great food!
Akeno, on the other hand, did not say a word. With how tense their relationship was, even if she wanted to help Kiba, anything she said would only make Rias do the opposite.
"Let's start right away, and you'd better scram as fast as possible from this town. I don't want to see you here again." Rias stood up, walked around her desk, and began drawing the magic circles to start the transfer ritual.
"Are you fine with this, Kiba?" Riser stood up, walked over to him, and asked while resting a hand on his shoulder.
Kiba stared once more at Rias. Seeing that she was still ignoring him, he answered, "...Yes."
...
"What are you doing?" Being pressed against the wall by a busty beauty was a unique experience. It reminded Yusuke of his first meeting with Aika.
Right now, he was being pressed by a blue-haired beauty. Her buxom figure pressed against his, and her face was dangerously close to his. Meeting his eyes, Xenovia spoke, "Yu! I believe the impression I gave you until now wasn't the best, so please allow me to introduce myself again."
"I don't think people introduce themselves this way," Yusuke said calmly, glancing at her. He was curious about what she was planning.
He had sensed her presence from far away, before she could 'ambush' him, but he allowed it anyway, just to see what her game was.
After the battle ended, the ones most affected were Xenovia, Irina, and Asia. The first two were completely mentally broken. The news of God's death was extremely devastating, especially for Irina, whose faith surpassed even that of Xenovia. What made it even more crushing was that now, knowing the truth, if they returned to the church, they would be silenced.
On the other hand, Asia was holding up quite well. She showed no signs of breaking down after that day. Her life had barely changed; she still prayed to God and acted normally. Yet for some reason, Yusuke noticed that the light in her usually bright eyes had dimmed, making him believe she was only trying to act strong.
That day, both Xenovia and Irina had mental breakdowns. They clung to Yusuke desperately, crying in his arms and saying things like, 'I only have Yusuke now!', 'Without God, I still have Yusuke.', 'Your name is holy.', 'My faith rots without you.', 'Your voice replaces prayers.', and even, 'You're my new God!'
It scared the poor Issei and Riser as well. Even Kiba stared at Yusuke, who remained calm, with deep admiration.
This showed just how fucked up they had become. It could also be their coping mechanism, directing all their insecurity and self-doubt toward Yusuke, wrapping their already twisted love into something even more fucked up.
Xenovia enrolled as a student in this school and became Yusuke's classmate along with Irina. The two usually acted normally around others, but they became very strange whenever they were alone with him.
"This is how we introduce ourselves in Europe," Xenovia said, blinking as she delivered an obvious lie with a straight face.
"Nope, I don't think so. Besides, this is freaking Japan," Yusuke's lips twitched.
Xenovia pressed her cheek with her index finger as if thinking deeply before saying, "Don't sweat the details. I didn't know Yu was old-fashioned. But I like it!"
"I am Xenovia Quarta! Previously a Church Warrior and currently your wife!" She winked at him and added, "Let's get along, Yu!"
'Is she doing this because she is a yandere, or because she is an airhead?' Yusuke stared at her with a blank face, thinking.
[Both.] The system answered his question.
"Now that we are officially husband and wife, let's consummate our marriage!" Suddenly, while he was still thinking, Xenovia took a step back, distancing herself, then grabbed his arms and dragged him to the back of the room.
"Where are you taking me? And what the hell do you mean by officially a husband and a wife?!" Yusuke followed her with a stunned look. Was this girl even right in the head?!
"Of course we are! I already checked. The legal age for marriage in Japan is 16!" Xenovia answered confidently, giving him an assuring look. "We are both 17, so it is completely fine!" She made an 'Ok' sign with her free hand.
"That's not the problem!" Yusuke's lips twitched at her answer. Getting married doesn't just happen because someone says so. And yes, the legal age for marriage is 16, but only if the parents of both sides are present. Clearly, the two of them did not even have parents to speak of!
'Wait, why am I even taking her words seriously in the first place?! Shit, she did it again. I got swooned by her rhythm!' Yusuke suddenly realized. These two airheads, Irina and Xenovia, always had their own ways of closing the distance between him and themselves.
"Where is this?" By the time he realized, he found himself standing in an empty room with only a mattress on the floor.
"Of course, it is the place where we will consummate our marriage! Do not worry, I already researched everything thoroughly." Xenovia closed the door, walked to the mattress, and started taking off her clothes. "I heard it hurts the first time. However, I am confident that I can bear the pain!"
She threw her shirt on the floor, revealing her breasts covered by a blue bra, and said in a serious tone, "So don't hold back! Let's have lots and lots of sex and children!"
"What are you waiting for, Yu? Do you want me to help you remove your clothes?" Xenovia noticed he was standing still. Then, with a thoughtful look, she added, "I happen to hear that in ancient Japan, women helped their husbands change their clothes. Do you want me to help you?"
Without waiting for him to answer, she approached and grabbed his clothes.
Yusuke did not speak the whole time and did not even try to stop her. His eyes were fixed on the tightly shut door.
"Stop right there!" And just as he expected, seconds later, it suddenly burst open.
...
Irina Shidou is a cheerful, goofy girl with a bit of an airhead vibe, and she is also a fiercely devout Christian. She is even more devoted than Xenovia and Asia. Because she followed God's teachings, she is inherently a good person.
She was born into a very Christian family. Her father was a pastor and exorcist of the Protestant Church, so ever since she was young, she adhered to the teachings of God. Her entire life was built around serving God and spreading his teachings.
The impact of learning the truth was incredibly devastating and traumatic. Among the three Yandere church girls, she was the one whose feelings twisted the most.
She felt as if her entire world had collapsed. The meaning of her life seemed completely lost, and her heart and soul turned hollow. She even wanted to kill herself. Even a normal believer might want to kill themselves after hearing that God is dead, let alone someone as devoted as her.
However, in that fragile and extreme state of mind, a single lingering light kept illuminating her dark world. That was, of course, you guessed it, our dumb Yusuke Aoki. Her already obsessed feelings toward him grew even more intense, so intense that she felt he had to become her new God, the one to whom she should dedicate not only her feelings and body but also her faith.
Despite Yusuke not allowing her or Xenovia to live in his house and telling them to stay in the place he had provided for them, the two girls still stalked him whenever they could, especially at school.
The moment Yusuke left the classroom, Irina tried to follow him, but he slipped away before she noticed. That alone made it clear he wanted to be alone, but a Yandere taking a hint was wishful thinking. She immediately started searching for him everywhere, relying on her Yandere nose to track his scent.
Sniffing around, she traced the exact path he took through the corridor. Right before he was pulled into the classroom by Xenovia, Irina's nose twitched, and she muttered, "The smell of a woman. This scent, it is Xenovia! She was with darling!"
"I must stop her." Her Yandere instinct warned her that something was about to happen between them. She hurried along the scent until she reached a closed door.
Without a second thought, she blasted it open and roared, "Stop right there!"
"Irina? What are you doing here?" Xenovia's hands, which were about to remove Yusuke's clothes, froze. She turned toward Irina, her face filled with confusion, and asked.
"I should be the one asking you that!" Irina dashed inside and shoved Xenovia away from Yusuke. Standing protectively in front of him, she demanded, "What were you planning to do to my darling?"
Xenovia's face darkened. She had been just one step away from getting Yusuke deep inside her, making him addicted to her body. She glared at Irina, who had ruined her chance, and snapped, "I am trying to bond with Yu! Who are you to even ask me that?"
"Bonding?! Is trying to fuck him your idea of bonding?!" Irina jabbed at the mattress, then at the half-naked Xenovia, shooting back at her.
"Yes, sex is the most primal and purest form of bonding, being connected with the person you love. Isn't that wonderful?" Xenovia replied bluntly, as if there was nothing wrong with her words or actions.
The two glared at each other, sparks of tension crackling between them, as if they could pounce at any moment.
Irina growled before saying, "I won't lower myself to you! Darling, let's go."
"Hmm? Darling?" Turning around, Irina realized the person who was supposed to be behind her wasn't there. Shocked, she let out a surprised voice, "Ehh?! Ehhhh?!"
"Darling! Where did he go?!" She spun around, shouting loudly. How had he slipped past her senses and left without her noticing?
"It's your fault! You scared darling with your thirst! Damn it!" Irina glared daggers at Xenovia.
"What do you mean by that? It's clearly you who ruined our moment. Yu must've been upset because of you!" Xenovia glared back, even angrier than Irina.
Irina stood still for a few moments, taking a deep breath to calm herself before saying, "Do you want to settle this like we used to?"
"No, not interested," Xenovia said, shaking her head as she put her clothes back on. "Even if I beat you, which I certainly would, it won't change anything.
"There are other girls besides you who are around him." She walked past Irina, adding, "Well, if you'll excuse me, I'll go look for my man."
"See you later!"
The room suddenly fell silent, leaving only Irina behind. She stared at the mattress before collapsing onto it, muttering, "How did things turn out like this?"
'Xenovia has become so mean lately, but some of what she said is true. My obstacle to be with Yusuke isn't just her, but also the other women.' Flipping onto her back and staring at the ceiling, she thought, 'These women are very strong. Trying to take Yusuke from them with pure force would take forever.'
She closed her eyes, as if asleep, and images of Yusuke began flashing through her mind. He was all she had been thinking about lately, and without even realizing it, he had become the most important thing in her life.
'Maybe I should change my approach.' Irina suddenly had a moment of enlightenment. Her eyes snapped open, and she jumped off the mattress. Clenching her fists in front of her chest, she shouted, "Darling! I will make you realize that you only love me.
"I am the only one who deserves your love."
...
"Did I just get cockblocked?" Yusuke muttered as he walked alone outside the school, wondering what had happened earlier. This was the first time something like this had happened to him, not that he was planning to fuck Xenovia this early and certainly not in that place. But still, it felt strange.
"It feels like some cheap cliché fan service that would only happen in low-quality harem animes because they don't have the guts to go all the way." Lately, he had begun to feel that his life was turning into that of a harem protagonist, and being in Japan was doing nothing to make him think otherwise.
[I think you are understanding this backwards. Have you ever thought that the normal situation would be you getting cockblocked by Yanderes all the time?] The system said, laughing. [These women are supposed to be stopping each other from fucking you. It's just that you were lucky enough to lose your virginity.]
"Hmm, what you said strangely makes sense," Yusuke blinked. Now that he thought about it, this was exactly what should have happened; girls preventing each other from pouncing on him and ruining any romantic moment he might have had with any of them.
'Shit, that would've been even more painful than being single!' Just picturing himself surrounded by beauties, unable to even kiss one of them or go on a date without the others ruining everything, seemed far worse than staying alone.
That was without even mentioning all the drama that came with it. If he so much as spoke to one of them, the others would fight and complain that he didn't give them the exact right amount of attention or words.
[You should be thankful that you are strong enough to manage them now.] the system said.
"Yeah," Yusuke nodded. If he hadn't been strong in the first place, he probably would have been either imprisoned by Murayama, Raynare, or Kalawarna by now. He wouldn't have had the chance to turn them into devoted Goudere. Well, it seemed like a fate better than being constantly cockblocked, at least he would have lost his virginity.
'Speaking of which, they would have gone into a full royal battle, killing each other or accidentally killing me in the process.'
He did not go straight back to his place. Instead, he decided to take a stroll. Recently, he had not been able to free himself enough to get some time alone.
Kuoh Town was a small place, but still a place in Japan, so it had plenty of strange things. For example, the lack of trash cans, waste bins, dumpsters...
Yusuke still could not get over the fact that he could not find a single trash can. It used to annoy him so much that he had to carry his trash all the way back home. Fortunately, he could now just burn it and be done with it.
Yusuke walked past rows of vending machines, and without noticing it, he wandered into an alley behind a grocery store. He stopped in his tracks. This place was still familiar to him. It was where he first learned he could get paid for his 'services'.
He had once thought his career would bloom and he would really take off by selling his 'protection' services, but after receiving those generous 'donations' from Raynare and Kalawarna, he no longer needed to pursue that 'professional' path.
'I got power, money, and women, I should be living the life... but why do I still feel stressed out?' He stopped and stared at the alley. Everything felt as if it had happened yesterday. He had been a weak loser with no bitches, and now he was practically living the dream life of any man.
Honestly, if someone had offered his past self the chance to live this life for just one year in exchange for giving up his life, he probably would have accepted it.
Nah, he would probably have been satisfied with just one month.
But now that he was living like this, he was certainly happy. It was just the stress of dealing with crazy Yanderes and the constant need to think about how to handle them that left him exhausted. Seven quests were still waiting for him to finish, which only made him feel even more overwhelmed.
'Irina and Xenovia seem much easier to deal with than Rias and Koneko. I should focus on them.' With his hands in his pockets, Yusuke turned around and walked off. From the moment he accepted the fact that he was a freak magnet, he had already prepared himself to deal with freaky women.
"Yusuke!" As he stood on the sidewalk, an excited female voice reached his ears. He turned around and saw a bleu haired woman in a white blouse and a black hip skirt running toward him in her high heels.
As she ran, her large breasts bounced beneath her blouse, drawing the attention of people crossing the road, all of whom stopped to stare. Kalawarna rushed up to Yusuke and leapt onto his back, shouting, "I knew you'd be here!"
"Kalawarna?" Yusuke felt the soft, flexible weight of her breasts pressing against the back of his head, which felt absolutely amazing, and asked, "How did you know I was here? Did you use your Haki?"
"Nope~!" Kalawarna poked his cheek, playfully sticking out her tongue. "I've been stalking you for a long time in the past, and I knew all your habits. I knew you liked to take a walk before going back home."
She, like all the women surrounding Yusuke, had gone through changes, not only in terms of power but also in personality. Kalawarna used to be like Raynare; selfish, power-hungry, and vicious. Her personality had also been somewhat dark and grumpy, shaped by a life spent doing many evil things. Although most of these traits still remained, she had become much brighter and more cheerful, especially when she was with Yusuke.
His existence had caused many of the women around him to change for the better. Akeno began overcoming her past trauma, and Koneko was doing the same, no longer afraid of her power and gradually overcoming the weak version of herself she had long buried inside.
"Oh, that sounds like something you would say," Yusuke said, reaching back to hold the thighs she had wrapped around his waist to keep from falling. "Since you're here, do you want to go for a walk with me?"
"Yes!" Kalawarna answered instantly, faster than even how your ex changed the way she called you when she broke up with you. She tightened her arms around his neck and exclaimed, "Date! Going on a date with you, fufufu!"
