I have to say, Xia Ruyi's young and full of energy, and she learns fast. She picked up horseback riding in no time.
Even Sun Dasheng couldn't help but say admiringly:
"Maybe your ancestors were horse herders or something?"
Xia Ruyi blinked. "Why do you say that?"
"Because riding seems coded right into your genes. How else could you learn this fast?"
Xia Ruyi chuckled and said modestly, "Don't exaggerate. All I've learned is how not to fall off. It's nothing like you galloping freely across the grasslands."
"Hahaha…"
Sun Dasheng laughed happily.
Now that she'd learned to ride, the two of them planned to pick two new horses and head out.
When they went to rent the horses, Xia Ruyi stood in front of the stable, a hint of nervousness and curiosity in her eyes.
Sun Dasheng chose a tall black horse. As he gently stroked its mane, he turned to Xia Ruyi. "Don't be scared. This guy looks imposing, but he's actually very human-like."
